Would KATHARINE MCPHEE make a better MARYLIN MONROE than others who have lined up and fought for the role of the legendary singer and actress in her upcoming musical?

American Idol winner-turned-actress Katharine McPhee was recently spotted rocking her new shockingly bright blonde ‘do wig with big curls and we only thought of one other legendary icon: the great Monroe herself. The usually brunette “Terrified” singer was caught looking like someone else again and this time it was a modern Marylin on the set of her new musical drama, “Smash,” where she and others try to bag the lead role in a Marylin Monroe bio musical.

Without her oversized coat and leaving only her blue sequined dress not to forget her amazing voice she looked like she could put up a pretty good fight against “My Week With Marylin” star Michelle Williams, once Playboy Marilyn Lindsay Lohan or Megan Hilty, her rival in “Smash.”

Judging from her new look, do you think Katherine would make a better Marilyn?

KATHARINE MCPHEE walked the red carpet at the NBC Universal 2012 Winter TCA Press Tour All-Star Party on Friday in a black SportMax dress. What do you think? Hot or not?

The stunning brunette and former “American Idol” contestant attended the event in a sleeveless, ankle-length SportMax dress, which featured black leather embellishments along the bodice and a studded black waistband.

She completed the outfit with nude, ankle-strap Christian Loubotin pumps, a black clutch, blue and gold dangle earrings, and a few bangles.

As for makeup and hair, Katharine opted for messy curls, soft brown eyeshadow, and a light pink lip.

Katharine could have done so much more with this dress… maybe a clutch in a brighter color? Or perhaps more attention-grabbing shoes.

A more vibrant lipstick would have been good, too.

Katharine McPhee, the former American Idol runner-up reminds me of Beyonce! Have you seen McPhee’s “Love Story” video? McPhee’s big hair, big eyes & big assets. Isn’t she prettier by the day? Fame seems to do that to most if not everyone!

The assets and of course the hair and eyes are all read. If you missed McPhee on Tyra Banks earlier this year, you’ve got to check it out. Tyra examined her boobs saying they are real!

Katharine McPhee posting for Vegas Magazine. Mcphee looks absolutely amazing. That just prove that you don’t need to be nude to get the attention! Sometimes being sexy isn’t about exposing your skin, it’s about being yourself and I think natural is beautiful.. not too much makeup, not too much fake stuff, it’s always a good thing.

Guys you wish you were Tyra Banks, don’t you? I have to say that Katharine McPhee’s boobs don’t look very real to me then again, never say never. katharine McPhee made a point or two on the Tyra Banks show that airs Tuesday (27 Feb 2007) night. The American Idol fifth season runner-up first jiggled her breasts and then let Tyra Banks feel them up to prove they were for real.

“They’re saying my boobs are fake, and I know that you’ve gone through this before,” McPhee told Banks. “It really bothers me, because it’s something that’s yours and people are saying it’s not yours.”

To prove that her assets were indeed natural she did a shoulder shake and exclaimed, “They jiggle!”

Tyra Banks then stepped in and squeezed the silicon suspicions off McPhee’s chest. After seeking permission to do so the supermodel, Banks to the envy of many in the audience, put her two hands to some good use and after a gentle twin squeeze pronounced “They are real!”
