Katherine Heigl is a mom! The star and her husband Josh Kelley have been working on an adoption for six months and it will be final this week. When Katherine was shopping for baby furniture last month, it was because she was expecting!

Katherine also quit smoking for a reason, but not because she was pregnant. She quit because there will be a baby in the house. Very smart! From Radar Online:

Katherine Heigl gets a hiatus from Grey’s Anatomy. It seems that Katherine has been wanting to break with the show for a couple years now and she got her wish. But this one isn’t permanent.

The show is going on hiatus soon, so Katherine picked up a movie in the meantime. Katherine has made no secret that she wants to get out of TV and in to the silver screen permanently. Her break with the show might be longer than normal, however, to fit her movie in. From People Magazine:

Not only was Katherine’s blonde hair gone, but it was much, much shorter. It looked so short, that a style wasn’t even in it. It looks like a half attempt at a French braid.

Katherine Heigl disses on romance in a recent interview. And while Katherine is funny and real – very down to Earth – about relationships, is she shooting herself in the foot? Because romantic comedies is what Katherine is all about the last couple of years.

Katherine Heigl wants to get an Emmy this year. Katherine decided to leave her name in the running for this year’s best actress category, since her material was beefed up. Beefed up to get her kicked off the show! Katherine was rumored to have made Shonda Rhimes, the writer, mad with that stunt last year.
