We rarely ever see Katie like this—she always looks so adorable and, admittedly, a bit boring at times. The only other time we’ve ever seen her stepping out of her comfort zone and looking all fierce—and not at all like the Katie we’re all accustomed to—was when she graced the cover of Spanish Vogue last year in a dominatrix-esque outfit.

This time, however, Tom Cruise’s usually modest wife unleashed her inner sexpot in her new ads for H. Stern jewelry, posing provocatively in bikinis and lingerie, paired with sultry smokey eyes and sexy wet hair.

It’s a surprisingly daring shoot for someone like Katie, but honestly the whole bombshell thing suits her well.

While some doting parents push their children on to the soccer field, atop horses, or into baseball as soon as they could walk to develop their athletic prowess early, the “Mission Impossible” star and his wife, Katie Holmes decided to hone their daughter’s inner fashionista instead…

“Katie has her create things and sew and stuff like that. It’s kind of amazing,”

Tom Cruise told US Magazine.

“It’s beautiful. It’s really beautiful.”

And it’s true. Suri Cruise often looks like a pint-sized runway model each time she steps out in public, with her haute couture dresses, faux fur jackets, legging ensembles, ballet flats, kitten heels, and sheepskin boots…and her proud papa says Suri “dresses” herself for each outing.

“She was just born that way. I don’t know what to say,”

Tom Cruise sighed indulgently.

“She really creates her own outfits. She even tells Katie and I what we should wear.”

And it just goes to show how much of Tom and Katie‘s life Suri holds sway over, because the five-year-old princess just handed daddy and mommy a $130,000 Christmas wish list, which includes a pony, diamond earrings, and a fairy princess-type gown…

Katie walked the red carpet alongside the star of the show, Tom Cruise, in a navy blue Holmes & Yang dress, which featured sheer textured long sleeves, a sheer yoke, and a tiered, knee-length skirt. She completed the outfit with sheer black stockings and black Lanvin pumps.

The brunette beauty finished off the look with flawless makeup consisting of smokey, grayish-blue eye makeup, nude lips, and a simple ponyail.

The outfit is a bit uninspired, but maybe Katie just didn’t want to upstage Tom! It was his night, after all.

Yes, Katie has landed a guest starring role on the hit CBS show… and as a character named ‘The Slutty Pumpkin,’ no less.

We wonder how she got hubby Tom Cruise to sign off on that one…

Anyway, this should be a real treat for all you “How I Met Your Mother” fans—you’ll finally get to see ‘The Slutty Pumpkin,’ Ted Mosby’s (played by Josh Radnor) dream girl from Season 1 whom he never saw or spoke to again after one chance meeting at a Halloween party.

“How I Met Your Mother” creator Craig Thomas says:

“Katie is a lovely and talented actress, which is why we’ve saved for her perhaps the most classily named character in our show’s history.”

Jimmy and Katie each teamed up with volunteers from the audience who tried to guess their sketches on the drawing board, but apparently, Katie never had that Etch-a-Sketch toy growing up because she failed dismally at translating concepts into simple drawings…

In one instance, Katie had her audience partner and all of Hollywood gossip websites scratching their heads when she drew a lampshade with a magic wand – her interpretation of Harry Potter.

Sheez, Katie, most seven-year-olds, and even your daughter Suri would’ve drawn a stick figure on a broom who had a lightning bolt-shaped scar on his forehead.

Her take on Lady Gaga? A girl in a tornado. And her version of an iPad? A two-storey building.

Ok, Katie, stop. That was excruciating. You should stick to getting your career back on track, because seriously, “The Romantics” sucked. Who knows, you’ll do better in the horror genre.

Suri’s tree house—her $100,000 tree house—comes with indoor plumbing, electricity, scurity cameras, and even luxurious shag carpeting. It also comes with a small army of nannies to follow little Suri’s every beck and call.

A family friend says:

“It may sound funny, but Suri now has her dream home… She hosts tea parties there on fine china and watches TV with friends.”

According to reports, Tom and Katie even let 5-year old Suri design and decorate her little treetop abode exactly the way she wanted.

So she’s got a $150,000 shoe collection, and now a $100,000 tree house. What’s next, her own amusement park?

Hollywood gossip websites took a look at the newly released trailer and ran screaming under their beds. With all the lights on. You should too, if you were afraid of the dark.

A few days ago some unflattering pictures of HOLMES were shot with a sort of protruding belly which got the ball rolling.

“She said she’s finally past the morning sickness phase,” an insider tells OK!, revealing that when Katie delivered the news, “she was talking a mile a minute. She’s so excited. Katie said nothing compares to how thrilled Tom is. He has wanted another baby for awhile now.”

I’m just going to put on my cynics hat and say I don’t buy this story. Not at all. I truly believe Tom and Katie have some sort of marriage contract and I don’t believe another child is included. So that’s my theory.

Soon after Katie‘s legal team slapped a $50 million lawsuit on the magazine, thus forcing the publication to apologize. Here’s the official statement they made yesterday.

“In a recent issue of Star, we published headlines about Katie Holmes that could be read to suggest that she was addicted to drugs. Star did not intend to suggest that Ms. Holmes was a drug addict or was undergoing treatment for a drug addiction. Star apologizes to Ms. Holmes for any misperception and will be making a substantial donation to charity on Ms. Holmes’ behalf for any harm that we may have caused.”

A “substantial donation to charity” eh? Do you think this formal apology will be enough for Katie or will she try to squeeze money out of the magazine, too?

As the Hollywood Reporter reports:

“When Katie showed up on screen, there was a collective groan,” says a source, who attended the screening. “She plays the wife of a Queens’ cop [Tatum] and she was completely miscast. They have her cursing a lot. And when she swore, there were chuckles. She was wrong for it. Al Pacino’s acting in the movie was intentionally over the top, and he did it with a wink. Most of the cast seemed in on the joke — except for Katie. She was acting like she was in a dramatic Sundance indie, when it’s really just a typical cop movie.”

Poor Katie. This combined with her cancelled Kennedy’s miniseries can’t be good for the ego.

So what’s an e-meter? Well, according to the report it’s a special Scientology device used to “emits a low-level electric charge that goes to the brain” that has a similar effect to heroin.

Heroin? Really! Interesting. Honestly, this would explain a lot.

Star magazine explains this e-meter, saying it:

“Gives subjects a temporary feeling of euphoria, followed by a crash and a craving for more. [Which] may “spark an endorphin release,” and when that occurs it’s the “same thing as taking morphine or other opiates, such as heroin or opium.”

Nothing would shock me about Scientology, honestly. What do you think? Do you buy it?

So what was the History Channel’s gripe with The Kennedys? They don’t feel it “fits with the History brand.”

“We are proud of the work all of our talent put into the making of The Kennedys and the painstaking efforts that went into creating a drama that is compelling while rich in historic detail,” Muse Entertainment and Asylum Entertainment, who coproduced the miniseries, said in a statement Friday. “Although we regret this does not fit into the History Channel’s plans, we are confident that television viewers in the United States will join viewers from around the world in having an opportunity to watch this series in the near future.”

Oh well. it was fun while it lasted, though something tells me there’s more to this story…

Friends close to the star say she’s hurt and angry about the short:

“Katie is feeling really hurt and less than thrilled about Anne,” an insider told American tabloid the National Enquirer. “Katie said she can take a joke but she thinks Anne’s back-pedaling is ridiculous. Katie and Tom, who’s terrific at impersonations, have now cooked up a plan to get revenge against Anne.”

Tom is in major midlife crisis mode. He’s freaking out over the new lines on his face, the gray hairs on his head and on his face when he shaves. He has started applying Katie’s high-priced facial creams, cleansers and even her makeup – and he loves the results! He even slathers on Katie’s foundation before public events and lightly applies her mascara to make his eyelashes look fuller. Katie is horrified that Tom has resorted to raiding her beauty supplies.”

This doesn’t come as a shock in the slightest. In fact – why doesn’t Tom Cruise have his own makeup and facial products? Now THAT is the story!

Katie told US Magazine while shooting the eight-hour miniseries back in the summer that portraying the American icon was “really fun! Her clothes were magnificent.

“I feel so lucky. We have these wonderful seamstresses who are creating beautiful dresses that are obviously replicas of real things [Kennedy] wore,” “Her great style was both appropriate for every event that she went to and also classic, and also things that were wearable. I feel really lucky to be playing her.”

The Kennedys will be aired in early 2011.

People in the fashion world are saying she just blended in to the background with her pale, simple clothing.

After spending the summer playing Jackie Kennedy Onassis in a TV biopic, it appears the icon’s legendary style has been rubbing off on Katie Holmes.

Attending the Calvin Klein show at the climax of New York Fashion Week yesterday, Tom Cruise’s wife appeared to be channelling the Seventies chic of Jackie O.

The 31-year-old looked sleek in a simple white belted dress, mocha platform heels, quilted Chanel bag and oversized sunglasses as she arrived at the show in Manhattan’s Garment District.

Who cares when you have money like Katie! I wouldn’t want to stand out either, because then people are noticing your outifts and complaining about what they look like! Do you like Katie’s pale look?

This will be bad news for the tabloids. It seems every other month Katie is pregnant and undergoing some bizarre Scientology rituals in order to cleanse her womb or something. She said at the thought of increasing her brood:

“Maybe in a couple of years, but right now I want to make sure I’m really there for Suri,” Holmes, 31, says. “I’m the youngest in my family —- my closest sister is five years older than me, and the next one is nine years ahead of me, so I was a bit of an only child, and I liked it! I liked having all of my mom’s attention, and sometimes I think I still do.”

Honestly it seems like she and Tom are far too busy for anymore children anyway. Or perhaps Katie is plotting her escape from the marriage? What do you think?
