Keira‘s publicist, Sara Keene, has confirmed to the Associated Press last Friday that Keira and her rocker boyfriend, James Righton, are now engaged.

The “Pirates of the Carribean” star and the keyboardist of “The Klaxons” were first photographed packing on the PDA at the East London park in April 10, 2011—four months after Keira broke up with her boyfriend of five years, Rupert Friend.

Thanks to their matchmaker, common friend and fashionista Alexa Chung, the two have finally decided to put a ring on it, although no wedding details have been disclosed.

Keira is normally a stunner on the red carpet. She always tends to choose such gorgeous outfits. However, the British actress’ latest effort fell short of her usual standards.

The “Pirates of the Caribbean” star wore a Nina Ricci dress with cap sleeves and a revealing lace panel on the bodice, paired with black tights, black Roger Vivier heels, and a black quilted Chanel purse.

Keira completed the look with curls, lush lashes, and a coral-red lipstick.

The dress does nothing for her figure, and those tights just killed the look even more.

Also, Keira’s lip liner was much, much darker than her actual lipstick, and her makeup artist didn’t even bother to blend it well—you can still see the lines! It’s quite unattractive, really.

Keira walked the red carpet in a dress from the Roksanda Ilincic Resort 2012 collection—which featured a black crisscross top and a gray calf-length skirt—and black ankle strap peep-toe pumps. She kept the jewelry at home, save for a Chanel cocktail ring.

Keira completed the look with a slicked-back updo, dark smokey eye makeup, and nude lipstick.

We love this dress on Keira! Normally calf-length skirts aren’t all that flattering because they tend to make people look shorter, but Keira totally rocked it.

It’s refreshing to see her in something like this, especially after a parade of florals and nude dresses. What do you think of Keira’s red carpet look?

Keira wowed the crowd at the 68^th Venice Film Festival in a shimmery, nude-colored Valentino gown decorated with gold appliqué. The long-sleeved, floor-length dress seems to be made of a soft, sheer material—and some parts are sheer enough to show a hint of skin underneath, which adds just the right amount of sexy.

The stunning British beauty allowed her Valentino gown to be the center of attention by leaving the jewelry at home and keeping her long, dark locks out of the way in a simple updo. She completed the look with sultry eye makeup and rose-colored lips.

Keira and James were seen yesterday in East London getting up close and personal; they just couldn’t keep their hands off each other! The new lovers walked in arm and they were also caught kissing in the park.

Righton, 27, is the keyboard player of a British indie rock band, Klaxons. The new couple was introduced by a mutual friend was Alexa Chung.

Knightley had previously dated actor Rupert Friend for five years before calling it quits right before Christmas.

The couple who co-starred in “Pride and Prejudice” which led to an off-screen romance has ended their relationship after five years together.

A source told People magazine on Thursday that the couple who lived together in London has quietly split up a few months ago, shortly after Knightley,25, bought a house in the South of France.

Distance and career “were both considerations,” the source added. “It was time for her to move on.”

The actress’ father, Will Knightley, told Britain’s The Sun, “They were together for quite a long time and it is always hard breaking up. She’s focused on her work.”

Breaking up is always tough especially after being with someone this long. But there are always different ways to look at it, on the brigher note you are making room for the right one to come along. I say that to myself because I’m getting over a pretty nasty break up myself. And how do I feel 7 – 8 months later about the break up? I’m so GLAD it’s over.

British newspaper the Daily Mail reports that the 26-year-old Pirates of the Caribbean beauty is at the top of the list to play the late Diana, Princess of Wales in an upcoming biopic about the ill-fated royal, who died in 1997 during a car chase with the paparazzi in Paris.

According to a source, film company Pathe—which scored hits with the 2006 royal biopic The Queen and Knightley’s 2008 offering The Duchess—has already begun work on the project with a projected 2011 release date, and the company and wants Knightley on board to play the lead role.

I’m not sure if I can see her in the role or not. She’s played historical characters very well who were British. But in the 1980s and 1990s, that’s not that historical. DO you think Keira should get the role?

Daniluk had appeared in court on Saturday, accused of “conduct that amounted to the harassment of Keira Knightley“. He’s due back to court on March 5th and has been told to stay away from the 24-year-old Pirates of the Caribbean starlet.

In the pictures you can see Daniluk outside the theater waiting for Keira after leaving her nightly performance in “The Misanthrope” at London’s Comedy Theater. He’s very tall!

Keira never seems to like what other people do.  From clothes, to movies to music to moods, it seems Keira is always sour about something.  Does she ever smile? This time, Keira chooses to attack something that can’t defend itself, the Internet.  From The Telegraph:

“I hate the Internet. I find it dehumanizing to constantly check emails or social sites which have become so fashionable.” But the 24-year-old actress admits to being “obsessed” with TV soap Emmerdale and US medical show Nip/Tuck.

No internet, but TV is OK.  What is she on?  Why would it be dehumanizing to check your email – how is it different than the snail mail.  besides waaaay faster, I know.  I think Keira just doesn’t know how to run a computer!

I am surprised these two even got along.  I figured with Keira’s sour disposition and diva ways, she would rub Sienna and her slutty, tantrum ways the wrong way.  But I guess they are more alike than we think.  From Starpulse:

In an interview about her new film, ‘The Edge of Love’, Knightley: “I am always exposing my breasts!”

And so that is exactly what happened on the set. Keira was in a hot scene with her onscreen husband Cilian Murphy: “It was a sex scene, and I didn’t want to act in it if I was wearing my bra.”

Appearing in the buff isn’t a problem for Keira but she does have her inhibitions. Keira: “In the scenes where I had to sing, my knees were trembling. I thought I would just die.”

Keira, the Atonement actress shot to worldwide fame in the blockbuster Pirates Of The Caribbean – with breasts spilling over the tight corset she wore in the role of Elizabeth Swann.

Keira Knightley had breast enhancement for the Chanel Ad as well.

It was all an illusion, made possible by the film-studio art of “bosom make-up”. It is a skill from Hollywood’s golden age that fell out of favour with the advent of silicone enhancement.

Knightley said ”They painted my t**s on me for the films, which is extraordinary because it’s kind of a dying art form – in the past, they used to have whole sections of the studios devoted to bosom make-up.

“And I loved it, completely loved it. Because it was the first time in my life I had big t**s, and I didn’t even need surgery.’

She said the process of creating the cleavage took 45 minutes every morning before filming started.

A make-up artist would apply a slightly darker shade of base make-up between Knightley’s own breasts to create a shadow to increase the ‘cleavage effect’. – Daily Mail
