Which is more than we can say about the more famous and veteran celebrity performers who’ve given their own twist to the Star Spangled Banner…intentionally or not…forgetting the lyrics, flubbing the lines, or rendering the national anthem as a heavy metal number…

The first ever “American Idol” champ did admit she was nervous before her performance in front of millions of people, resulting in a frenzy of practicing that would do any voice coach proud.

“Just finished rehearsing the anthem in Indy…wow, I’m actually really nervous about singing at the Super Bowl ha! Here’s hoping I nail it and don’t screw it up!”

Clarkson tweeted on Friday.

“Literally left my wardrobe at the hotel in Louisiana and my tour manager had to run back and get it. Now we’re on the plane headed for the Super Bowl but that was a close one! I’m not sure if I could have pulled off spanx and heels while singing the anthem :)”

Looks like her case of nerves and her faithful rehearsals did pay off, because Kelly Clarkson gave a stunning performance worthy of a champion.

No wonder her her single “Stronger” got to number two on the Billboard singles chart, and she just set the chart record as the “Idol” alum with the most top 10 hits ever!

Kelly‘s currently coming out with her fifth album, “Stronger,” which tells the story of her past, and underlines how she surmounted the odds to become a survivor. She’s often the first to admit that her impoverished childhood living with a twice-divorced mother continues to resound in her life…

“We had fun,”

29-year-old Kelly tells the UK Mirror,

“but there was struggle too. Now I don’t have to worry about having clean clothes or paying the bills too late, but that level of stress definitely has an effect.”

“Divorce isn’t fun,”

“It affects relationships you get into when you are older. I think you have to work a little harder because you’re constantly thinking it’s probably not going to work out in the end. Also, I travel a lot and work a lot. The way I live it’s hard for me to even find someone.”

“I’m definitely a workaholic.”

“If you finally get to do the job you love, you work your butt off.”

The pop rock singer may have two Grammy awards, four multi-platinum albums, and a humongous fan base, but there something she doesn’t have that a lot of other women take for granted…a boyfriend.

“I’ve never experienced certain things, and I think that’s because I have this side of me that is shut off,”

the “Mr. Know It All” singer reveals.

“Because I haven’t found anybody yet to open to that I feel like, ‘OK, you’re worth breaking down that wall for.’ I’ve never found that.”

Kelly‘s one year shy of 30, but she doesn’t seem to be in a hurry at all. She may still be searching for someone she’ll do everything for, but she says she won’t be ready to tie the knot for at least a decade yet.

“Statistically, if you wait that long, you’re not going to get divorced,”

she says hopefully. Besides…

“It’s really hard to date when I’m on four different continents in a week. Even if I do meet a great guy, I ain’t ever gonna see him. There’s only so much you can do with Skype!”

Busy Kelly laments.

So if there’s any guy out there who loves pluz-size women with lungs of steel, who’s willing to travel to different countries within the span of a week, and who’s willing to wait at least 10 years to say wedding vows…give Kelly a shout-out.

Oh, and you definitely must be someone she’d be willing to “break her wall down” for. Whatever that takes.

I think as long as she’s comfortable and happy with her weight who is to say it’s bad? Of course Hollywood does. Do you have to be skinny to look good? I don’t think so.

Kelly is a very talented singer and she’s got enough self-esteem to not give a crap about what people say in LaLa Land. Does one have to be skinny to look great?

Dear Kanye,

What happened to you as a child?? Did you not get hugged enough?? Something must have happened to make you this way and I think we’re all just curious as to what would make a grown man go on national television and make a talented artist, let alone teenager, feel like shit. I mean, I’ve seen you do some pretty shitty things, but you just keep amazing me with your tactless, a**hole ways. It’s absolutely fascinating how much I don’t like you. I like everyone. I even like my asshole ex that cheated on me over you…which is pretty odd since I don’t even personally know you. The best part of this evening is that you weren’t even up for THIS award and yet you still have a problem with the outcome. Is winning a moon man that much of a life goal?? You can have mine if it will shut you up. Is it that important, really??

I was actually nominated in the same category that Taylor won and I was excited for her…so why can’t you be?? I’m not even mad at you for being an a**hole…I just pity you because you’re a sad human being.On a side note, Beyonce has always been a class act and proved again tonight that she still is. Kelly isn’t the only artist who’s voiced her opinion over the Kanye’s outburst. In fact a lot of them have on Facebook or Twitter but Kelly has taken the time gathered her thoughts and written a WHOLE lot.

I am sure by now Kanye realized how much wrong he’s done.

Editor in chief Lucy Danzig, however, doesn’t think Photoshopping is such a huge deal. The editor took to her Self magazine blog yesterday to blast the Internet. She wrote:

“Did we alter her appearance? Only to make her look her personal best…But in the sense that Kelly is the picture of confidence, and she truly is, then I think this photo is the truest we have ever put out there on the newsstand.”

The entertainment editor than responded with:

“Why do we get bent out of shape when a magazine alters an image to portray a celebrity in their best light? No one wants to see a giant picture of some star’s cellulite on the cover of a monthly mag.”

Uh-oh. Did they just say Kelly has cellulite?!

She told Self (via usmagazine.com):

“My happy weight changes. Sometimes I eat more; sometimes I play more. I’ll be different sizes all the time. When people talk about my weight, I’m like, ‘You seem to have a problem with it; I don’t,” she explains. “I’m fine! I’ve never felt uncomfortable on the red carpet or anything.”

In fact, we think it was awesome of Self to put Kelly on their cover. She is currently working out with CrossFit, a program used to get police into shape. “I love it! It’s like bootcamp,” she said.

Yahoo! OMG culled some quotes from a recent interview:

“For seven years it’s been happening. It’s like, ‘OK cool, the fat joke,’” she said during an interview with 2Day FM’s Kyle and Jackie O Show in Australia. I love my body. I’m very much OK with it. I don’t think artists are ever the ones who have the problem with their weight, it is other people.”

Kelly also wants everyone to know that she isn’t a lesbian. No matter how “hot” it is that everyone says that about her.

“The rumors are not helping me on the dating front!” she said. “I prefer the boys. I’m extremely flattered when I do get hit on by girls, and I think it’s hot, but I’m not into it. I like boys.”

It’s funny that people thought Kelly was pregnant, so soon after an interview came out saying she did not want kids.  Were the comments to throw the media off the scent or does she truly not want kids?  From the Inquisitr:

So is Kelly Clarkson pregnant? The answer is we can’t be sure, but it’s more likely just weight gain. Only recently, Clarkson told Us Weekly that she wasn’t interested at the moment in spawning children. She also told Ryan Seacrest that there is no special person in her life at the moment.

Clarkson, rumored by some to be a lesbian, has had a long battle with weight, often putting on the pounds only to lose them again in a semi-regular fashion.

One thing we can say for Clarkson: if she was pregnant, she’d probably share the news; only earlier today, details of an interview she did with Blender Magazine included gems from Clarkson such as she pisses on her self in the shower, and that she analyzes her snot for illness.

I’m guessing it was only weight gain too.  But when Jessica Simpson looked to gain weight, why didn’t anyone think she was pregnant?  I guess you have to gain it in the right spot – and Jessica’s seemed to be in her butt.  Not a place for babies!

Perhaps we should label her as Rihanna no. 2 – Good Girl Gone Bad but then again she has to be drop-dead gorgeous to add this badge on her resume. What do you think Kelly qualifies?

Kelly Clarkson has seemed committed to shedding her good-girl image since she stepped off the “American Idol” stage, and the reporting surrounding her latest habits only serve to prove that. According to a close source who spoke to Us Weekly, the Grammy-winning pop star enjoys walking around her home in the buff, no matter the circumstances. That would include not just when close friends are around, but even when her home is “filled with strangers for photo shoots or fittings,” reports the magazine. – US Weekly via MSNBC
