The potty-mouth stand-up comedian and author of “Are You There Vodka? It’s Me Chelsea,” went on Kelly Ripa‘s show, “Live! With Kelly” where she told her host that, yes…it is possible to have too much of a good time…but only after hugging Kelly and assuring her that no, that wasn’t a bullet-proof vest she felt, just a back brace…

After an evening spent drinking and dancing, even the alcoholically-horizontal veteran was no match for her own excesses.

“Not to be funny, but I’m actually wearing a back brace because of something that happened that night,”

Handler, 36, explained on the show.

“I do this glide where I’m really happy and I sit while I dance because I have to hold onto something that’s stable.”

She also admitted she’d been prescribed with steroids after her evening of heavy partying, which means that her memories of the night before have been made more lasting…not because of a hangover, but because of painkillers and a back brace…

“Are you there doctor? It’s me, Chelsea.”

Celebrity news tell us that Regis has been doing all kinds of creepy things lately, from eyeballing photos of new ‘Transformers’ actress Rosie Huntington-Whiteley to getting a little to intrigued after hearing about Jennifer Lawrence being naked for hours during her body make-up application for ‘X-Men: First Class.’

Last Thursday, he directed his creepiness at Kelly.

Regis and his co-host Kelly were talking about a 3-hour standoff at a liquor store in Brooklyn, which involved some hostages. Kelly joked:

“If you’re going to be held hostage, a liquor store isn’t a bad option.”

Regis responded:

“You’d be good to be held hostage. I’d like to hold you hostage for a while.”

Kelly’s eyes immediately went wide as saucers as she said:

“Okay, that is soooo creepy.”

Cut him some slack, Kelly. He’ll be retiring soon, anyway.

Regis told Kelly Ripa about his decision 15 minutes before they went on the air. Initially we learnt Kelly was stunned but now we’ve learned she was furious — partly because, as one source tells TMZ,

“She felt it showed a total lack of respect for her.”

The entire production team is reportedly angry at Regis because they feel he hurt the show by blindsiding everyone.

And in case you missed it, Regis is quitting because of money.

Kelly then went on to overflow with praise for Megan Fox – proclaiming she’s a comic and a creative, fantastic actress. Wow.

“She’s everybody’s celebrity crush…I love that girl, I really do. I love her. I’ve known her since she was a teenager, so I’m so happy for her and all of her success,” Ripa said.

“She really is super smart, she’s really creative, she’s a great, great actress and she’s a brilliant comic actress. A lot of people don’t know that but she is funny, that girl.”

The two worked together on the now canceled show Hope & Faith.

Right after the faux pas the topic of Tom Hanks being a presenter at this year’s Oscars came up, Ripa made her own faux pas. Knowing that last year’s winners present this year’s awards in the acting categories, Kelly blurted out “Oh I guess, well, you didn’t win last year.” It was cute.

Regis cracked a little joke”See what happens when you cross her?”

Hanks joked: “Is my nose bleeding?” “Because that was quite a pop.”

It was all in good humor.

Kelly has been featured numerous times in fitness magazines such as Shape, Fitness because she’s in such great shape. She is 38, mother of three children and married to her former co-star on All My Children, Mark Consuelos for the last dozen years.

Kelly isn’t just fit, she makes a killing co-hosting the Live with Regis and Kelly show. Reports have it that Ripa makes a whooping $8 million a year just doing the show. Wow! This is someone that’s too under-rated in La La Land, a great TV personality, gorgeous, fit and seems to be a happily married woman and a mom!

Little more about October 2, 1970, she’s from Stratford, New Jersey. Kelly has been been a co-host on Live with Regis and Kelly since February, 2001.
