King was born in New York city to a restaurateur and garment worker. He grew up in a religious Jewish home. When his father died, the family was forced to live on welfare. This forced Larry to look for job right after high school to help his mom.

Larry King has decided to end his CNN show. After 25 years, Larry King has thrown in the towel and decided to call it curtains on ‘Larry King Live.’ There were rumors earlier this month that British television personality Piers Morgan had already been tapped for his replacement, but CNN scoffed and said this wasn’t true.
