Biography: Leighton Meester: birth name: Leighton Marissa Claire Meester; born on April 9, 1986 in Texas; height: 5 feet 5 (165 cm); Zodiac Sign: Aries. Meester is  best known for her role as Blair Waldorf in the CW TV series Gossip Girl.

Meester was born in a Texas prison while her mother, Connie Meester was dong time for a drug related crime.  Meester became interested in acting when she first appeared in a local production of The Wizard of Oz. She moved to New York city at the age of nine and  began modeling.
