LiLo attended the star-studded amfAR Benefit at Cipriani Wall Street this week where host, Sarah Jessica Parker raised more than $1.4 million for AIDS research. And no, apparently, Lohan didn’t gatecrash this shindig. She’d been telling everyone there she was at the gala because of her role playing Elizabeth Taylor, a major amfAR donor, in an upcoming Lifetime movie…

Without, of course, mentioning role rival, Megan Fox, who was conspicuously absent from the event.

According to sources, Lindsay, who was wearing a a white dress and a coat with long fur cuffs and long fur trim, got all excited when she recognized a wealthy Canadian financier at a nearby table, and made her way over to him for some intimate chitchat.

“There were items being auctioned for $20,000,”

a source told the New York Post.

“After chatting with the businessman, Lindsay sent over an assistant, who said, ‘Lindsay would very much like it if you’d bid on this item as a gift.’ ”

The assistant then indicated a Hublot diamond watch with a white alligator strap.

The rich gentleman politely declined, of course, noting that LiLo, despite her Playboy past, was nothing of the big-breasted, underage freckled girl she used to be when all of America still wanted to get into her pants.

“He just cracked up,”

the source continued. And the $20,000 watch went to another bidder.

Hmmm…so do you think this report is consistent with the LiLo we know?

LiLo did her best to channel the late, lamented Liz at her most sensual with a series of poses that photographer pal Richardson was only too happy to oblige…

And such was LiLo‘s zeal at showing Lifetime producers that she, not Megan Fox, is right one for the job, she even had herself photographed with “Furious Love,” a book detailing Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton‘s love affair upon which the TV special will be based.

While Lindsay‘s been getting more scripts than she’s had than in years when she’d been an utter hot mess, it appears she really, really wants to be Liz Taylor. How else would you explain this out-and-out campaign to win the role that she and Megan Fox are up for.

It was announced earlier that Lindsay was slated for the part, but Lifetime producers later decided it was going to be a toss-up between her and Megan Fox to get some press out of the whole production.

So who do you think will make a better Liz Taylor? Lindsay Lohan, who’ll have to shuttle back and forth from filming to L.A. where she has to show up for progress reports with her judge? Or naturally brunette Megan Fox, who’ll need some boob padding to achieve Taylor‘s considerable chest?

Earlier, producers of Lifetime Network announced that Lindsay was up to play the role of late screen legend and icon, Elizabeth Taylor in “Elizabeth & Richard: A Love Story.” Turns out the network’s  seeking free press for the biopic because Megan Fox has been lined up to play Liz, too…

Tsk-tsk.

“I’ve been talking to Lindsay Lohan directly, and with her reps, and have been in conversations with other actresses, including Megan Fox,”

Larry Thompson, executive producer of Lifetime’s “Liz and Dick,” told E!News in an exclusive interview.

“It’s a very serious selection,”

he said.

“It’s like casting for Hollywood royalty.”

Huh. Royalty, indeed.

Lindsay remains one of the frontrunners for the role, but she’s still under “probation” with the court, and that presents the complication of shuttling back and forth from L.A. for progress reports with her judge-in-charge, to Canada, where filming where start in the spring.

The only remaining option for Lifetime Network producers is to hold a seance to ask the original Liz which actress she’d prefer to play her.

Because what else would she do except sneek in to an awards celebration when she doesn’t have a movie…or a movie career of note..to be invited to the prestigious ceremony itself. Oh, and to be sure she didn’t have to get thrown off the premises again, Lindsay booked herself into the Chateau Marmont a week in advanced!

Just in time to be present for the Weinstein Company-hosted bash where she snuck into the back entrance to magically appear for photo ops of legitimate Globe nominees, Jean Dujardin and Bérénice Bejo from “The Artist,” and Kenneth Branagh and Michelle Williams from “My Week With Marilyn.”

Sneaky little LiLo. But then again, what’s a down-on-her-luck actress to do in times of a career crisis?

Celebrity news just learned LiLo is in early talks to transform herself into one of the supreme screen actresses of Hollywood’s Golden Age in a made-for-TV movie. So what do producers of Lifetime Network expect? Dye Lindsay‘s hair black, pop in some violet contacts, and expect her to transform into one of the greatest actresses the world has ever known?

Remember, this is Lindsay Lohan…who posed naked for Playboy and had a topless bit role in “Machete.” And whatever are they going to do about her three gazillion freckles? Pretend they’re liver spots that’ve appeared in Liz Taylor‘s flawless peaches and cream complexion in her old age?

Still, it’s the early days. And perhaps Lindsay Lohan will finally get her act properly together to channel the late Grand Dame Liz opposite an actor playing Richard Burton for “Elizabeth & Richard: A Love Story.”

Either that or the Lifetime Network could up it’s ante and find someone more appropriate for the job.

So what’s the latest wise quote/enlightened saying/significant phrase to find its way on LiLo’s skin?

That’s right… “Live Without Regrets.” Lindsay has had plenty to regret these past few years—and we can probably add this tattoo to the list, since it’s apparently not very pleasing to the eyes—so it’s kind of a strange choice. But the “Mean Girls” star obviously likes getting a tattoo whenever she reaches some sort of point in her life, so maybe she got this to remind herself to “live without regrets,” which hopefully will mean that she will no longer do anything she will regret.

The Playboy centerfold and sometime actress freaked out when a strange, unidentified man rang the doorbell to her Venice Beach pad and insisted on speaking with her to “explain things.”  As it was 6:30 at night, understandably, LiLo called 911 pronto, and police arrested 64-year-old Lonnie Short who was still hanging out by Lindsay‘s doorway when the squad car arrived…

Short was booked on trespassing and held on $1,000 bail, but we’re pretty sure it’s not a done deal for him. We think he’ll be contacting Lindsay again soon.

Why? Because strangely enough, he’s linked to another LiLo stalker, David Cocordan, against whom Lindsay was granted a restraining order last June.

Apparently, Lonnie Short claims to be a friend of Cocordan and repeatedly knocked on Lindsay‘s door to tell her he just wanted to explain Cocordan past behavior (such as claiming to be LiLo‘s fiance, and sending over 100 often sexually explicit messages last year).

With her many incoming projects, thanks to that Playboy shoot, maybe LiLo should invest in 24/7 security to repel any would-be admirers wanting to see her in life-size centerfold reality.

Recent news reports that claimed Lindsay accepted a huge paycheck to ring in 2012 in Dubai are completely false, according to La Lohan herself—and she’s pretty darn pissed about the rumor, actually.

Apparently, some party planning company has been using Lindsay’s name to promote a huge New Year’s Eve bash on the Queen Elizabeth 2 cruise ship in Dubai… but they didn’t actually book her.

When LiLo found out, she immediately had her legal team bang out a cease and desist letter to the company, with a threat to sue their asses if they continue to claim that Lindsay will be hosting the Dubai shindig.

Lohan’s rep tells TMZ:

“Lindsay is not going to Dubai, nor had she ever considered doing so. She will be spending New Year’s Eve in Los Angeles with a few close friends and family.”

And anyway, isn’t Lindsay barred from leaving the country?

Celebrity gossip websites earlier reported that Lindsay was staying home on New Year’s, declining a deluge of invitations to ring in 2012 hosting one party or another. And here we thought she was trying her darnedest to stay sober by keeping away from alcohol, which every New Year’s party has in abundance. Turns out, LiLo was holding out for a bigger paycheck….

Lindsay‘s scheduled to usher in 2012 in a party aboard a boat that’ll dock in Dubai December 31. And not just any boat…the Queen Elizabeth 2! She’ll be joined by Pamela Anderson, former England cricketer Allan Lamb, Liam Cunningham, US sitcom and film star Lamman Rucker, and English model, socialite and aristocrat Lady Victoria Hervey.

Rumors abound that Kate Moss is scheduled to make an appearance, as well as tennis stars, Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal, all three of whom are in Abu Dhabi for the Mubadala World Championship.

With that kind of international celebrity crowd, it looks like Lindsay‘s setting her sights higher up. Why settle for hosting some lame parties in Sin Citywhen you can case a cruise ship and rub elbows with the richer and more famous…and for a bigger fee?

Smart move, LiLo. Just stay away from that open bar, will you?

Either there’s still a whole lot left of that $1 million fee from her Playboy shoot, or Lindsay just wants to stay in Judge Stephanie Sautner’s good graces by keeping away from the temptation of alcohol that’s sure to flood every one of these New Year’s Eve bashes she’s been invited to host…

It looks like Lindsay‘s doing some serious damage control to an image that’s been drowned in drink and drugs over the last few years. And also because it appears that Judge Sautner’s praise during LiLo‘s last court attendance snowballed into a series of auspicious events that included an untitled screenplay to a movie offer, and a contract to be the face of Jag Jeans.

Is Lindsay jinxing all this good luck just to make big money ringing in the New Year? No way.

It’s a peaceful night at home with a few friends for LiLo. And maybe some quiet dinner out before heading to bed early.

After all, 2012 is another day…

Oh, wait…it’s Michael Lohan. Why are we even surprised?

The ex-con dad, who was recently arrested for domestic violence against ex-girlfriend Kate Major, then arrested again as he tried to escape police by jumping from a hotel balcony, says he’s actually happy for his daughter, fellow recidivist, Lindsay, for taking off her clothes to pose naked for Playboy…

“If she’s happy with it, I’m happy with it,”

Lohan Senior told Dr. Drew Pinsky on an episode of his daytime LCTV show, “Lifechangers.”

“I haven’t seen it and I never look at it, any of it,”

he claimed, just before a life-size photo of his daughter on the recent Playboy cover flashed on-screen in the studio.

“There she is. Do I have to close my eyes?”

He joked.

“It’s a move in a direction where she’s working… so as far as I’m concerned it’s a good move.”

So he thinks a likely career path posing naked in girlie magazines is a good move for Lindsay?

Oh, wait…again, it’s Michael Lohan. We really shouldn’t be surprised.

At least he has some good words to say (skewed as they are) about his daughter now that’s its Christmas…

Not only does she hold an untitled screenplay to a movie offer, she’s gotten this modeling contract under her belt, as well.

Looks like Lindsay, like Holly Madison, Kendra Wilkinson, Marilyn Monroe, and all the naked Playboy bunnies who got their start posing nude for the 58-year-old girlie magazine, owes Hugh Hefner a big one. Will the Hef be coming around to collect soon?

Star news found it interesting to learn that the photographer for the Jag Jeans photo shoot, Yu Tsai, is the same photographer who did Lindsay‘s “tasteful” Playboy spread last month.

“As Jag Jeans’ newest endorser, Lindsay embodies the strength and fearlessness of the woman of today. She is unafraid to be who she is. She is fierce yet exudes feminine grace,”

a press release from Jag Jeans reads.

“Lindsay was so involved with the shoot that she would go as far as adjusting items on the set. She even requested scissors so she could personally fray the edges of her crepe blouse because she believed it would look better that way. Lindsay would take a hands-on approach to her shots, as she was more than willing to change her hairstyle during mid-shoot and even used her own personal jewelry and accessories when needed.”

Wow.

Does LiLo have her career…such as it is…well in hand? Let’s hope she’ll be going full steam ahead by 2012.

If she’s learned all her lessons, that is.

Lindsay and her sister were spotted arriving together and trying to unsuccessfully cover up their identities with oversized sunglasses while airport employees carried in their small mountain of luggage, but what drew paparazzi’s eyes was the screenplay Lindsay was carrying around emblazoned with large letters, “UNTITLED” in the front…

Looks like Lindsay‘s naked gamble paid off, and she’s inching her way past obscurity and being constant tabloid fodder with an honest-to-goodness, legitimate film offer that doesn’t include having to take her clothes off in some B-movie offering (hello, “Machete?”).

And fresh from her triumph of a successful court appearance where the presiding judge praised her for a job well done, it looks like Lindsay‘s totally excited about the screenplay as well, because why would she flash said script in front of a group of people she particularly hates – the paparazzi, if not to thumb her nose at them as if saying…”I’m baaaa-aaaack!”

Lindsay has had a string of high profile relationships (and hookups) that she’s never bothered denying, but this one, weirdly enough, she did.

However, Harry Judd of McFly begs to differ. The drummer tells The Mirror:

“At the time I thought, ‘This is awesome.’ But I was really nervous. Lindsay invited me back to her hotel. I left at eight o’clock next morning.”

Though the co-stars, who were both 21 years old at the time, did engage in some naughty stuff, Harry is adamant that he and Lindsay did not do the deed. He continues:

“I didn’t shag her but we spent the night and had a fumble… We did things teenagers do. We went far enough but not the full home run.”

We’re sure Harry must have been pretty darn irresistible to Lindsay (British accent, plays the drums), but with her co-star and onscreen love interest at the time, Chris Pine, in the picture, how could she have settled for anything else?

Strange… unless Harry is making the whole thing up.

Industrie Magazine initially released a teaser of the “Victoria’s Secret” angel’s photo shoot two weeks ago, and star news was stunned at the beautiful black-and-white photographs of the 28-year-old Australian model’s body in all it’s nude glory. Sure beats the full-blown soft porn poses Lindsay Lohan assumed for Hugh Hefner‘s anachronistic 58-year-old girlie magazine…

Miranda‘s photos are sensual without any of the tawdriness you’d expect from Playboy. And her amazingly toned body honed by Yoga sessions during and after her pregnancy to her now 10-month-old son sure beat Lindsay‘s apparently blowzy, out-of-shape form.

“People should be comfortable with their bodies, it’s natural and, it’s not vulgar,”

Miranda is quoted as saying about her celebrity photo shoot with veteran photographer, Willy Vanderperre for the French Industrie Magazine.

And isn’t that the way it should always be?

Lindsay took a probation officer-approved holiday last week and fled to for Hawaii for a well-earned (and we mean well-earned!) respite after taking all her clothes off to pose as another person. Unfortunately, like she does her phones, other people’s jewelry and her virtue, Lindsay still hasn’t gotten out of the habit of forgetting where she leaves her stuff…including her purse with $10,000 in cash…

The Honolulu Police Department reports that a 25-year-old woman who answers to the description of Lindsay Lohan filed a complaint yesterday for a missing purse which she had allegedly left in a rented Jeep that had been parked in a residential driveway.

Come on…who goes around with $10,000 stuffed inside a purse and leaves it out in the open for anyone to find?

Oh, wait…we forgot…Lindsay Lohan.

The good new is the purse was eventually found, but the ten grand was mysteriously missing.

“The bag was found nearby and the contents were missing,”

a statement from Honolulu police media liaison Officer Michelle Yu reads.

“There are no suspects and the investigation is ongoing.”

Was the money part of the $1 million fee Lindsay earned for baring all her 500 gazillion freckles for Playboy? Or is she trying to make more out of the whole incident?

Someone try and find the insurance rider to that rented jeep again…

We think the Hef should look into hiring new blood for his art department…if his art department people are the same bunch of guys who were with him when he launched the magazine way back in 1953.

But on to more important things…

As previously reported by celebrity gossip websites, Lindsay’s nude Playboy photos have now been made available online after some of them were leaked way ahead of schedule by a hacker with mad skills.

If you’ve already seen them—and we’re pretty sure you have—then you’ve probably noticed that LiLo’s gloriously nude body was pretty heavily airbrushed, which isn’t surprising as most magazine photos rarely ever make the final cut without going through some serious post-processing.

Thankfully, there’s one Lindsay photo that escaped the clutches of Playboy magazine’s Photoshop wizards, and it may be the best one yet!

But that’s just our opinion…

Hollywood rumors are going around Dina Lohan herself allegedly leaked her daughter’s $1 million worth of “tasteful” tributes to Hollywood icon Marilyn Monroe. And whether this story is true or false, or simply the case of a mother proudly showing her offspring’s latest accomplishment to the world, you’ll be seeing LiLo‘s full celebrity naked glory sooner rather than later…

“The Lindsay Lohan pictorial has been leaked on the Internet & is causing a sensation.”

Hugh Hefner related matter-of-factly on Twitter yesterday afternoon. And a couple of hours later, he informed his 900,000 followers that:

“Because of the interest & the Internet leak, we’re releasing the Lindsay Lohan issue early.”

Which means the January/February 2012 issue will be out on newsstands December 15.  It’s not like Hef had any choice…but the old guy seems truly excited about the early release of the Lindsay Lohan issue because:

“Lindsay Lohan was the top search name on the Internet yesterday. Her issue goes on sale late next week. Hot. Hot. Hot.”

The geriatric connoisseur of naked female flesh chortled on social media.

And true to his word, shortly before midnight last night, Hef made Lindsay‘s full array of ample charms available to the online world:

“Due to high demand, the Playboy issue with Lindsay Lohan’s pictorial is now available on iPlayboy…”

So go get ‘em, tiger…
