Patrick Swayze’s Wife Still Text Him, Swayze Died Almost A year Ago

Patrick Swayze’s wife Lisa Niemi revealed she still sends text messages to her late husband. Lisa, 54 in a very touching interview with People magazine where she talks about her life without Swayze, her husband of 34 years.

Patrick famous for his lead roles in Dirty Dancing and the touching love story “Ghost” starring opposite Demi Moore, lost his battle to pancreatic cancer on September 14 last year. His wife, Lisa recalled how she would still text Swayze after his death.

Lisa tells People magazine: ‘I just put what I always did: “I love you”. And then I cried for a little bit to myself.” “It (text message) didn’t come back. So either somewhere out there he received it, or someone’s going, “Somebody loves me!” And you know what? I figured it was a win-win situation.’

Lisa met Patrick when she was 14, Patrick was just 18 and they had been together until he died. How touching!

Patrick will always be remembered in our hearts. R.I.P.

Patrick Swayze is responding well to treatment

Patrick Swayze is responding well to treatment for pancreatic cancer, he told People magazine. Swayze, 55, who announced in March that he had been diagnosed with cancer, is receiving treatment at Stanford University Medical Center near San Francisco. Praise to the Lord!

“I am continuing treatment at Stanford and the great news is I continue to respond well,” Swayze said in a statement to the magazine.
The treatment evidently is not slowing him down too much. People said Swayze spent the holiday weekend taking in a Los Angeles Lakers basketball game and shopping for jewellery for his wife, Lisa, in Reno, Nev.

Patrick Swayze has pancreatic cancer but George Fisher, the doctor treating Swayze, said: “All of the reports stating the timeframe of his prognosis and his physical side-effects are absolutely untrue.” Dr Fisher added: “We are considerably more optimistic.”

Swayze was said to have undergone radical chemotherapy in California in January. However, there were claims that the disease had already spread to Swayze’s other vital organs.

Swayze’s spokeswoman declined to comment last night but the New York Post said that a representative for the actor had confirmed his illness.

Most patients die within six months of pancreatic cancer being diagnosed because symptoms may not appear until it is very advanced. Last month, it was reported in a New York newspaper that Swayze had undergone surgery for a serious “gastro-intestinal procedure”. – TO

Patrick Swayze famed for his role in the 1987 hit movie Dirty Dancing in which Swayze starred with Jennifer Grey. He starred opposite Demi Moore in the blockbuster movie Ghost in 1990.

One thing very impressive about Swayze besides his acting, he’s been married to his wife, Lisa Niemi since 1975. The couple have been together since Lisa’s 15. That is what I call amazing especially in Hollywood!
