Apparently, the reason why Marc Anthony finally decided to file for divorce was because he found out that J.Lo, whom he had been hoping to reconcile with someday, was already head-over-heels in love with her boyfriend, Casper Smart.

Which of course means that Lopez has no interest in dropping him anytime soon.

However, despite the fact that Marc was the one who filed the docs, sources close to the singer reveal to TMZ that he and Jennifer made the decision together.

TMZ reports:

“…[Marc] didn’t make the decision on his own — he had a heart-to-heart with J.Lo a few weeks back to see if she really, truly wanted to end the marriage.”

The site adds:

“We’re told he said he wanted to give the marriage another try, but Jennifer confessed … she was deeply in love with Casper … and wanted to pursue that relationship.”

Ouch.

But we doubt Marc’s too torn up about it… after all, he has a smoking hot model girlfriend to comfort him.

Who would’ve guessed that he’d be the one to file first?

After many months of being separated—and finding new rebounds each in the process—the Jennifer Lopez-Marc Anthony divorce has finally (and officially) been set in motion.

The soon-to-be-former Mr. Jennifer Lopez, who is currently dating Venezuelan model Shannon de Lima, filed divorce docs on Monday, April 9 at the L.A. County Superior Court, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for ending the marriage.

He is also asking for joint legal and physical custody of their twins, Emme and Max.

Oh, and not that it matters since J.Lo is worth quite a lot, but Anthony also asked the judge to reject any requests for spousal support from his estranged wife.

We wonder how Jennifer feels about Marc beating her to the punch?

So that means there isn’t going to be any backstage histrionics, tear-stained back stories, or judges acting catty towards one another and the contestants. J. Lo and Marc Anthony wanted their format to be totally different from “The X Factor,” “The Voice,” “America’s Got Talent” and “American Idol” where the behind-the-scenes drama takes center stage over actual talent…

Well, that’s one way to stand apart from the rest, eh? The question is…can they overthrow the competition?

Instead of judging contestants from behind a panel, and spinning around in oversized chairs or rejecting hopefuls with a buzzer, Lopez and Marc Anthony, along with choreographer and creative director Jamie King, traveled Latin America to handpick the talent for “Q’Viva.”

“We’re not judges, we’re show producers and we’re putting together a live show,”

Marc Anthony revealed during a recent Television Critics Association press tour.

“What makes it interesting is we’re documenting the process. You don’t win anything. You either get cast in the final show, or not.”

Even when he had to turn down a young singer in Nicaragua, Marc Anthony did it ever so gently, telling her he couldn’t envision her fitting into the show. So if you get your kicks from snarky put-downs or dramatic contestants, you might find yourself disappointed.

“It’s going to be a great crossover. We’ve had Spanish people watch it, we’ve had English people watch … and it translates. We’re speaking in English, we’re speaking in Spanish, we’re speaking in Portuguese,”

a bi-lingual J. Lo said.

“I think because of all the reality-type shows that are out there right now, like “Amazing Race” that go to different countries, [having subtitles is] not a big leap for anybody. Plus the music and the dancers are really the star of the show.”

But most importantly…

“It was our dream to come together and show the world what Latin American talent really is. As much as we knew about it, going on this journey we learned so much more about it,”

Lopez continued.

“The world and everybody who takes this journey with us is going to be so pleasantly surprised, so elated, so lifted, so enriched by the experience.”

So that hopefully, we’ll have a kinder, gentler world, right? Lofty ideals for a show, yes. Let’s hope it sells…

Is it because these two are hardened seasoned performers believe that the show must go on at all costs…or is it because they just work really well together, regardless of what goes on in their personal lives? After all, haven’t they collaborated together for so many years, while Marc Anthony was allegedly cheating on his then-wife, former Miss Universe, Dayanara Torres with J.Lo? even before they were married?

The divorcing couple seemed all business as usual as they promoted their reality competition show, “Q’Viva!”…and at one point, Marc Anthony even held J.Lo‘s hand up sweetly to check the number of rings on her fingers. Was he looking for their wedding ring, perhaps?

On the other hand, neither of them talked about their personal lives, and the TCA panel was likely briefed beforehand not to ask any sensitive questions, either, they stayed clear of personal matters, entirely.

So how did it feel having to be in the same room together, within touching distance from each other?

“Same as it was any other time we worked together.”

“We have a great time working together.”

According to Star Magazine, Jenny from the block has put her young plaything on a weekly allowance because she’s gotten tired of whipping out her credit card or checkbook each time they go out on a dinner date or a shopping trip. So she’s started giving him ten grand a week so he could treat her out, too…using her money…

Nice illusion, that. Maybe Marc Anthony was right about J.Lo needing psychiatric help?

“Jen doesn’t want to go over the top, showering Casper with too much, but she also wants him to up his game,”

the source tells the tabloid.

“Jen is hoping Casper won’t think twice about buying presents for her kids or whisking her off for a surprise weekend getaway.”

Or buying his own Bentley so he wouldn’t have to use hers.

Point of the matter is, J.Lo is secretly rubbing her hands in glee at how much she’s irritating Marc Anthony by being the ultimate sugar mommy.

“She loves that he’s freaking out about her showering Casper with money,”

the source continues.

That would mean less moolah to fight over during the divorce settlement, then…good. Good.

We’re sure everyone’s noticed that Jennifer tends to go from one relationship to the next—she never gives herself time off to be single. She was once famously engaged to A-list actor Ben Affleck, and when that went bust she immediately jumped into a romance (her longest yet) with singer Marc Anthony… and after that ended, she started going out with backup dancer Casper Smart—within months after announcing her separation from Marc.

It’s safe to say that J.Lo has a bit of trouble being alone… and Marc himself brought it up during a heated argument with Jen, which started with his request to see their children more often. A source tells RadarOnline.com:

“As always with things between Jen and Marc recently, the conversation quickly turned heated… Jen said Marc wasn’t being attentive enough as their father, and Marc scoffed at that remark and said she was always changing her travel plans with the children at the last minute.”

The source adds:

“The real source of Marc‘s anger is Jen‘s relationship with back-up dancer, Casper Smart. Jen is VERY serious about him, and it makes Marc extremely jealous. Marc told Jen that she [should] see a psychiatrist to deal with her issues to figure out why she always needs a man in her life.”

Whoa. We think Marc is right, but we do find it hard to believe that he’s “extremely jealous” about J.Lo’s new relationship. After all, he’s dating a gorgeous Venezuelan model now!

J.Lo must be so enthralled with her new boy toy, backup dancer Casper Smart that she doesn’t really mind her ex Marc Anthony finding someone else to enliven up his life with. Just as Anthony flaunted himself in full-on PDA with de Lima on social media, 42-year-old Jenny from the block took to her Twitter and sent a cryptic message:

“You know quite well,deep within u,that there is only a single magic,a single power, a single salvation&that is called loving.”

J.Lo tweeted, seemingly waving away any ill feelings towards her ex-husband for showing the world he had gotten some ass of his own.

Is this the passionate Latina’s way of telling Marc Anthony she harbors no resentment towards him and is pleased he found someone of his own to love, just like she did?

After J.Lo went and paraded her new boy toy backup dancer Casper Smart around town, and even allowed him to chauffeur her and Marc Anthony‘s twins around in her Bentley (much to her estranged husband’s ire), Marc Anthony decided to get some ass of his own… in the person of 24-year-old Venezuelan model, Shannon de Lima…

The 43-year-old Puerto Rican singer let the whole world know he’d moved on and posted this photo on his Facebook wall giving his new squeeze, a runner up for Miss Earth Venezuela 2005, an airtight hug and kiss, with the caption…

“gracias”

In fact, as a testament to how serious his relationship with de Lima has become, friends and family have posted a number of congratulatory messages to the new couple.

Even his adopted son, Chase Muniz, who’d been “unfollowed” by soon-to-be-former-stepmom J.Lo, expressed his joy for his dad on Twitter:

“My dad is happy im happy. Love you dad!!!!!!”

Looks like dad is head over heels himself because…

Just a few weeks after Jennifer debuted her new boy toy (and backup dancer) Casper Smart, Marc was spotted out with gorgeous blonde model Adriana Ontiveros.

According to celebrity news, the rumored new couple was seen at a Miami Dolphins football game two weeks before Christmas. An eyewitness tells Life & Style:

“They exited the stadium via a private entrance and stepped out of the elevator together… They were holding hands, and he seemed very comfortable with her. He wasn’t flaunting it.”

Marc and Adriana are said to have met through mutual friend Alejandro Fernandez, whom Marc has performed with in the past and whose music video, “Se Me Va la Voz” (I Lose My Voice), features the sexy Adriana.

An insider reveals:

“It’s new, but he is dating.”

During Jennifer and Casper’s Hawaiian Thanksgiving vacation, the 24-year-old backup dancer was photographed playing with J.Lo and Marc’s kids at the beach. Unfortunately, if he was planning on doing any other fatherly duties, such as, say, chauffeuring them around, he’s going to be sorely disappointed.

Why? Because Marc put his foot down once he found out that Casper had a criminal record… after getting arrested for drag racing.

A source tells RadarOnline.com:

“[Marc] went ballistic when he found out about Casper‘s criminal record. He explicitly told Jen that Casper wasn’t allowed to drive their children anywhere. Marc hates the fact that Casper is spending time with Max and Emme. Marc is extremely jealous, and doesn’t think Jen is using good judgement when it comes to Casper.”

The source adds:

“This wasn’t a threat that Marc gave Jen. He will go straight to family court if he needs to get a judge involved to make sure Casper doesn’t get behind the wheel with his kids in the car.”

Well, we don’t think that any parent would want their kids driven by someone who does drag racing.

Last Saturday, J.Lo surprised everyone by shedding real tears on stage at the Mohegan Sun Arena’s 15^th anniversary celebration. And she did it right after performing a love song, during which she paid tribute to her former flames by getting her male dancers to play the part of her most high-profile exes—Diddy, Ben Affleck, and her estranged husband Marc Anthony.

So why did Jennifer cry? Was she lamenting the fact that she had already been married three times and still hadn’t found the one? Or was she just sad about her most recent breakup? A source tells Us Weekly:

“It was the Marc part of the montage which choked her up… She can’t help but feel sad over the loss of a marriage that went on for so long. She’s emotional about the whole thing still.”

The source adds:

“Part of her dislikes him so much… But another part still loves him in a way, he’s the father of her children. It’s confusing. She’s going through a whole array of emotions right now.”

Nonetheless, we’re sure J.Lo isn’t sitting around crying and moping about her failed marriage to Marc. After all, she has her new man, Bradley Cooper, to keep her mind off of those things.

Celebrity gossip websites have learned that Marc invited Will to watch the Miami Dolphins game with him in his luxury box, along with NBA player Dwayne Wade.

Dwayne later revealed that there was real friendship between Will and Marc, and that they weren’t just pretending to be friends so they could show everyone that there’s no bad blood between them in the wake of the whole Marc-and-Jada-were-having-an-affair business.

Jada‘s the executive producer of the medical drama where Marc Anthony started out as a guest star and ended up getting written on as a regular, while moving forward as her love interest in the series. She’s even promoted him to an executive position as music producer of “Hawthorne.” Fishy much?

Marc Anthony, who plays a detective, shares some very steamy love scenes with Jada in the show that ran for three seasons before TNT pulled the plug. Did Will Smith have anything to do with that? Or did Jada make the decision to to axe “Hawthorne” just to prove to her husband she and the Puerto Rican crooner didn’t segue their passion from reel to real?

“Hey everyone…if you don’t know Hawthorne will not be returning for another season,”

Jada tweeted earlier.

And by “more to come,” does she mean more Will Smith? Or more Marc Anthony?

The source we speak of is none other than In Touch Magazine. The same publication Kim Kardashian threatened to sue for reporting she hooked up with NFL player Bret Locket while she was engaged to now-husband Kris Humphries.

Who are we to believe this time? Will and Jada, who’re denying all allegations of a split? In Touch Magazine, and its reputation for ultra embellished reporting? Or Marc Anthony, who’s known to have cheated on ex-wife number one and former Miss Universe Dayanara Torres with Jennifer Lopez, and on wife number two J.Lo with a flight attendant?

Apparently, the two didn’t see “eye-to-eye” on the topic of Scientology. A source says:

“Jennifer and Marc couldn’t see eye-to-eye on the subject. She’s always been more into the church than him. He wasn’t a huge fan and it caused problems.”

J. Lo and Marc announced their separation on July 15, but the two were recently spotted together in New York. The former couple was seen riding around in the backseat of a red Mustang convertible in Southampton—which of course sparked some serious speculation on celebrity gossip websites. People are wondering about the current status of their relationship—does this reunion mean that they’re working things out?

Well, no, they’re not. The divorce is definitely still on. Marc was just in town visiting their 3-year old twins, Max and Emme.

A rep for J. Lo tells TMZ:

“They are NOT back together — they were just visiting each other and the children.”

Honestly, it would have been nice if they really were getting back together (for the sake of the kids), but if the rumors about Marc’s infidelity and oppressive behavior are true, then it’s probably best for Jennifer to go on with the divorce.
