An unlikely team up, but we definitely like the track!

If anyone ever wondered how Maroon 5 and “Black And Yellow” rapper Wiz Khalifa would sound like together, “Payphone” is definitely it! Definitely a hot added track to the equally hot Adam Levine‘s band’s fourth album, “Overexposed,” which is set to be released in June.

We have to admit, we weren’t sure which direction it would go, genre-wise… But as it turns out, Maroon 5 music does sound good with some rap in it!

While Adam Levine is busy venturing into different career opportunities, namely ruthlessly judging on “The Voice” while expecting the release of his first fragrance and debuting as an actor in “American Horror Story,” he and the rest of his Maroon 5 band mates are releasing their newest album this summer!

The singer, who has joined a long list of acclaimed artists like Taylor Swift in lending their voices for a track in the chart-topping “Hunger Games” soundtrack, dished about his band’s upcoming album in his interview on E!.

Adam told E! host Giuliana Rancic in a recent interview:

“It’s going really well. I’m a busy dude right now. But it’s fun and the record’s I think it’s our best ever, but of course I think that, ’cause it’s ours. Summer. Summer time. Am I allowed to say the title? No, no I can’t say it. It’s called something awesome.”
