What’s with the hots for older men, MK?

Twenty-five year old Mary-Kate is done with guys her age and it’s obviously attributed to her maturity that enabled her to get into the business world of fashion and bag so much money at such an early age.

From dating Greek shipping heir Stavros Niarchos III who is 2 years older than her, she had moved to New York artist Nate Lowman who is 8 years her senior. And now, French president Nicolas Sarkozy‘s younger half-bro, Olivier, who is (gasp!) 17 years older than the child star.

Page Six reported of the Olsen twin:

“Sources say the former French president’s 42-year-old younger half-brother, who’s managing director of the Carlyle Group, has been seeing 25-year-old Olsen for about a month, and they’re “head over heels” for one another.”

The report added:

“The couple was spotted in the Hamptons over Memorial Day weekend.”

Another insider explained her choice to date a much older man to Us Weekly:

“MK is constantly complaining about boys not being mature enough for her. She got the kids out of her system. Now being a businesswoman dominates her time, and she is rarely impressed with guys.”

And by impressed, she probably meant intimidated by a bigger net worth and professions—Member of the Board of Directors of BankUnited and Managing Director and head of Carlyle Group’s Global Financial Services, anyone?

However, we think she should have some faith in younger men and keep looking for someone much closer to her age. Just think of a 50-year-old highly fashionable MK standing next to her 67-year-old partner for one of their kids’ weddings photos…

Now do you think MK should be dating a man 17 years her senior or is it downright gross?

Known as the “curvier” Olsen sister, and with good reason, Elizabeth, fondly known as Lizzie to her family, has stirred an Oscar buzz with her critically acclaimed performance in her Hollywood debut, “Martha Marci May Marlene,” where she plays a young rape victim who escapes a cult and develops a multiple personality disorder to cope with reality…

“It’s very clear that I’m the younger sister,”

Elizabeth admits ruefully.

“My whole life they’ve been like women, while I’ve been trying to be a woman but still a kid.”

Because of her famous sisters, Mary-Kate and Ashley, who’d started their careers as toddlers on television’s “Full House,” graduated to teen stars, then segued from movies to become successful fashion designers in their own right, Elizabeth has been treated oddly almost all of her life.

It’s driven her to take acting even more seriously, and with rumors buzzing around Tinseltown that she’s on the shortlist for an Oscar, she’s apparently halfway to achieving her goal.

“I’ve always had a complex about being taken seriously,”

Elizabeth says.

“I never wanted anyone to think that I would use my family name to get me anywhere.”

We take Elizabeth seriously, alright. She’ll be appearing in “Silent House” come March next year, and you can bet she’ll give an Oscar-worthy performance there, too…

Mary-Kate and Ashley have always been considered icons in the fashion world. Prior to their foray into fashion designing, Mary-Kate and Ashley gained recognition as Hollywood fashionistas when they were just freshmen at New York University back in 2004. The twins told Vogue magazine:

“We were called eccentric and eclectic… But we were just two California girls trying to dress for the New York winter.”

Mary-Kate and Ashley, who both earned their first CFDA nomination this year, bested other stylish sisters for the top spot on Vogue’s Best Dressed list. Other celebrity siblings who made the cut were Dakota and Elle Fanning, Beyonce and Solange Knowles, and even British sisters Kate and Pippa Middleton.

At $39,000 a pop. Entertainment news has been shaking their collective heads…in the midst of this recession, who has that kind of money?

Still there hasn’t been any news of the animal rights group targeting this suddenly must-have accessory. It was, according to Ashley Olsen, the first item that “sold off the shelf” during the Paris Fashion Week.

Hollywood gossip news spotted the unlikely pair smooching at Submercer Nightclub in New York during Kanye‘s 34th birthday celebration this week. We didn’t even know those two knew each other!

So does this mean Kanye‘s going to be returning the make-out favor during the twins’ 25th birthday party the week after?

And maybe we’ll get to see Mary-Kate grinding her midget ass and chugging Hennessy in one of Kanye‘s future music videos.

What an odd pairing, yes? They’re a couple after Ice-T and Coco‘s hearts. Still, one never knows what passes for love down in Hollywood, these two just might find their own happily-never-after.

Both twins – if you can tell them apart – wear fur, carry fur bags and use fur in their fashion lines.  PETA hasn’t been able to sway them lately.  From The Olsen Files:

Sharon Stone and the Olsen twins have had their stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame defaced by anti-fur protesters. This is not the first time these celebrities have come under fire for wearing fur, PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) members are constantly holding protests outside signings and public appearances in a bid to rid fur from fashion.

Do you think PETA is right to go after them?  The Olsen’s had fur hags scribbled on their star, while Sharon had Old fur hag scribbled on hers.  Fair?

Page Six is reporting her saying:

It’s really sad – the recession is everywhere. But at least they are having good sales,” said Olsen, who pointed to her hat. “That’s where I got this! The recession!”

The thing that’s eyebrow raising about this isn’t the fact MK is overjoyed at sales (aren’t we all), but that she would need a sale to buy a hat, for Godsakes! Aren’t she and her Ashley worth $300 million or something insane like that? 

The Page Six snitch also watched as Mary-Kate eyed a $410 menorah, pillows and a throw for a bed. Alas, MK showed discipline and didn’t purchase anything. Ah, celebs they’re just like us.

On Wednesday night, Olsen and Kirsten Dunst got into a heated argument while sitting together at Audi’s party at the Delano in South Beach. “They just kind of stared at each other for a long time and then started exchanging nasty words,” says an onlooker. “Then Olsen just got up and left. She’s been going really late every night. She looked like she had not brushed her hair in a week and she was chain-smoking the entire time and sitting like a sourpuss with her boyfriend. She was acting very oddly.” as told to Page Six

With all the partying and chain-smoking I guess we can cross “prospective mother” from the list. Maybe it’s just booze bloat?

Mary-Kate really took Heath’s words to heart. She wanted the same kind of fulfilment in her life that Heath found in his after becoming a dad. She is really happy with Nate and is very excited they will soon be starting their family together.”

No dice, though. Mary-Kate was “horrified” by the request and prefers her A-cups.

She told Ashley no way! Mary-Kate hates being told what to do and how to look by Ashley. It drives her nuts. Anyway, she’s into that flat look and thinks clothes look better with less cleavage, so she’d rather be smaller and more stylish.”

They created a set of costumes for Halloween to prove their point.  And they named the costumes the Trollsen Twins, complete with their own Trollsen webpage.  There’s Trashley and Hairy Kate, and you can download a mask and print it out. 

A couple of PeTa fans wore the costumes out at the book signing of the twins in NYC yesterday.  The Trollsens Olsen sisters were not happy.

Good luck Relia Star! The city’s medical examiner already ruled Heath Ledger’s death accidental, and while the insurance company would like to nose around for further evidence, California law “prohibits insurance firms from re-examining applications after the policyholder dies.” Which quite frankly, I suppose wouldn’t matter if they found some sort of red flag, bombshell discovery. But what in God’s name will Mary Kate Olsen and the masseuse say?

Think about it.  You have gabillions of dollars – OK, not that many but about $20 million coming in a year.  Then there are the millions from each previous year before that.  They don’t seem to have cars or houses, they just flit about in the city and walk the roads to clubs.  But Dlisted says that a source close to the twins told them to cut back on the spending.  Limit the travel, the partying and the drugs.  Well, they didn’t day drugs, but what else can they be doing?

Mary kate is to be running low on funds.  She needs the job – anyone have something open?  Help the girl out?

It seems that the comediens who did the cooking cooked up as much Olsen dishes as they did Saget.  And Saget didn’t like it one bit, because most of the jokes were over the top.  John Stamos was the emcee and had a few jokes of his own, but he even admitted a bunch of the rest were … hardcore.

Isn’t that what these roasts do – they push the comedic edge?  But I guess when you focus on co-stars and there is sexual connotation, things get out of hand.  The roast will air on TV sometime later this month…I guess we’ll have to check it out for ourselves.

And does he know that those cute little twins from Full House grew up to be trolls?

Everyone wondered why Mary Kate wanted immunity before she talked.  Then her lawyer said he requested it.  Now, through TMZwe hear the DEA went in to overdrive on this case, where there was nothing to go on anyway.  Some robocops wanted to make a big name for themselves, but failed to turn up any evidence that something fishy was going on.  Ledger had prescriptions for the drugs in his possession.

So, the judge dropped the case.  End of the story.  At least for now.

It seems that MKO has only been cooperating with authorities as little as possible in their investigation in to Heath Ledger’s death.  It turns out on Monday night that news leaked about MKO and her refusal – what a minute, we thought she was working with cops – to work with police.  Why wouldn’t you work with police?

Usually only if you were guilty of something.  And to make the gossip mill swirl faster, she says she wants immunity for talking with authorities.  Why do you need immunity if you’ve done nothing wrong?  I don’t get it?!?!  Is this her way of getting in to the spotlight?  Was there something illegal going on and MKO knows it?
