HILARY DUFF and her ice-hockey player husband MIKE COMRIE celebrated their first wedding anniversary this weekend with the announcement that they’re pregnant with their first baby that’s due out early next year.
Celebrity news is happy for the two, but won’t this pregnancy derail the “Lizzie McGuire” star’s career even further? It’s not as if she’s been working constantly these days, but having a baby will push her further back under the radar in publicity-hungry Hollywood…

Hilary Duff is pregnant! The newlywed and her NHL hockey star hubby, Mike Comrie are expecting their first baby! Hilary is said to be about seven weeks pregnant!
“They weren’t actively trying to conceive but agreed that if it happened, it happened,” her close friend tells Star exclusively.
The pad says the couple is feeling ecstatic!
Hilary married Mike, the Pittsburgh Penguins center in Santa Barbara last August. Her first book, Elixir, made it to the New York Times Best-Seller List.
Hilary Duff’s husband is being sued for not making the repayments on a $165,000 Mercedes-Benz car. Duff’s ice hockey pro hubby, Mike Comrie who married Hilary in August after dating her for three years – purchased the luxury vehicle in 2008 but is alleged to have failed to repay any of the money.
Legal documents filed at Los Angeles County Superior Court and obtained by TMZ.com, state the finance company has tried to repossess the car but the 30-year-old sportsman has “refused to allow Plaintiff possession”.
Hilary Duff likes married life…without the children. People are already bothering Hilary – who has only been a newlywed for one month and who is just 23 years old – when she is going to have a baby. Seriously? Why do some people have babies on the mind all the time?
