Do you love it or do you hate it?

New year, new hair? It seems most female celebrities are changing up their looks by doing something new to their hair! Demi Lovato and Rihanna, for instance, went for the bleached blonde look, Kim Kardashian went a few shades lighter with an elegant chestnut brown, and Katy Perry colored her hair blue.

Miley Cyrus, however, decided to just chop her hair off.

Miley tweeted a photo of herself sporting a sleek, chin-length bob over the weekend, along with the caption:

“Got ANOTHER hair cut! You likey?!”

We certainly do. Somehow, it makes Miley look more mature—but in a good way.

Some of Miley’s followers, however, were not too keen on the former Disney star’s new look. After receiving criticism about the length of her hair, she again tweeted:

“All y’all are saying its soooo short! Only cut about an inch & a half off tonight! In total about 5 inches!!! I love it! So liberating!”

Apparently, Miley bowed out of the animated film, and is no longer voicing the part of Dracula’s (Adam Sandler‘s) daughter in “Hotel Transylvania.” Maybe Miley felt an animated flick would bring back her Disney image, something which she’s been assiduously avoiding by doing all manner of crazy/racy stuff…

Selena Gomez, who’s gradually graduated from child star to a more mature entertainer, is taking Miley‘s part instead. Looks like Selena‘s not afraid to take anyone’s leavings, or be a producer’s second choice for a role. Even if it’s for an animated film.

The movie follows Dracula (Sandler), who operates a high-end resort away from the human world and goes into panic mode when a boy discovers the place and falls for the Count’s teen-aged daughter, who’ll be played by Gomez.

And if you think about it, doesn’t Selena appear more the vamp than Miley does?

Is Miley the new teen queen of “awkward?”

First there was the time she all but declared she was a pothead during her 19th birthday party celebration, then she was photographed attempting to fellate boyfriend, Liam Hemsworth‘s birthday cake, followed by a front flip in her living room that practically broke her tailbone…and now this…

It looks like Miley‘s trying to stay clear of posting racy photos of herself on Twitter and has segued to something else entirely. Is she doing all this just to get attention, or is she the kind of girl who, like her alter ego “Hannah Montana,” simply hasn’t left that awkward stage of adolescence?

Unless she was performing for someone, and that someone owned the penis cake presented to him for his 22nd birthday which Miley tried so hard to fellate for the cameras a week ago.

What is it with Miley and her exuberant antics these days. Sure she’s young, but we’d expect a nine-year-old to attempt Cirque du Soleil tricks at home…not a 19-year-old!

Miley recently made celebrity news headlines after photos of her pretending to lick a penis-shaped birthday cake while clad in a skimpy black dress at Liam’s birthday party surfaced on the Internet, and she is now being slammed by The Culture and Media Institute for her “sleazy” antics.

The group released an article entitled “Hollywood Promoting Women Behaving Badly,” which points a finger at Miley Cyrus and the movie “Bachelorette” for promoting “sleazy behavior” in women. The article states:

“Miley Cyrus, who famously played the wholesome Hannah Montana, has become the epitome of the anti-role model for young girls.”

In an exclusive interview, Dan Gainor of CMI tells RadarOnline.com:

“Miley Cyrus, who made her career as the family friendly Hannah Montana, has grown into the latest example of how Hollywood warps young actresses into selling sleaze.”

He continues:

“She is following a parade of former Disney stars — such as Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, and Lindsay Lohan — that the entertainment industry has manipulated into role models promoting sex to their young fans.”

So why are the women of Hollywood acting sleazier and sleazier? Gainor explains:

“The actresses know that the more sexualized they act, the more Hollywood will reward them. And no one, not the industry and not the pop-tarts themselves, cares that they are pushing sex to an underage audience.”

Not exactly the best way to boost your image, Miley… especially after the whole “stoner” debacle a few months ago.

But really, this borderline inappropriate photo doesn’t shock us one bit. Miley obviously has no qualms about showing off her wild side, as evidenced by her letting herself get videotaped taking a hit from a bong, or photographed lying seductively on a bed wearing nothing but lingerie…

So, yeah. We’re not surprised that Miley, who is only 19, allowed herself to be photographed tonguing her boyfriend’s penis… shaped birthday cake.

It’s just another day for Miley Cyrus, you know?

And if that’s not bad enough, there were also photos of Miley partying it up in a skimpy black dress, sipping what appeared to be a large pitcher of alcohol, and sucking face with Liam in the middle of the partying crowd.

After speaking with eyewitnesses who were also at the club, TMZ reports:

“Miley was drinking alcohol and partying all night.”

Tsk tsk. Oh, Miley.

Miley ditched her usual red carpet formula, which consists of her usual cleavage-baring gown and hundreds of accessories, and kept it stylish and classy in an off-white David Koma dress, which featured see-through mesh panels on the bodice (okay, it’s still a plunging neckline, but still!) and on the skirt, and colorful, futuristic embellishments along the hemline.

The dress boasts of such a classy yet unusual design that it manages to look simple yet interesting, all at the same time.

How very fashion-forward of you, Miley.

As for accessories, the former Disney star kept the chunky bangles and cocktail rings at home and opted for simple diamond stud earrings, a silver Marchesa clutch, metallic pink pointed-toe Jimmy Choo pumps, and hunky beau Liam Hemsworth.

Oh, and let’s not forget Miley’s makeup (which was perfect): lush lashes, sunkissed cheeks, and a soft, peachy-nude lip color.

Miley could easily be the best-dressed celeb at the People’s Choice Awards, don’t you think?

Miley plays Lola, a rebellious 18-year-old social media addict in this coming-of-age movie that also stars Demi Moore as her mother, who is fed up with a teenager’s antics. Looking at Miley displaying a good deal of cleavage and a lot of washboard abs in scenes from the girls’ locker room answers the question why Miley‘s been seen remarkably thinner than usual in vacation photos with boyfriend Liam Hemsworth in Hawaii last December…

No one can fault Miley for doing extra preparations for this nearly topless scene in a nearly racy teenage movie.

Not to worry, though. “LOL: Laughing Out Loud” will probably be her last stab at capturing a teenage audience before she moves on to more mature roles “befitting” her 19 years.

And you can bet there’ll be more skin in any movie she stars in in the future. But in the meantime, enjoy the skin she’s in right here…

The movie is likely to be one of Miley‘s final stab at playing a character aimed at her teen fan base, because wouldn’t you know it…her “Hannah Montana” fans have grown up along with her and may be ready to see Miley in the  more mature roles the 19-year-old has been raring to do…

In “LOL,” Miley plays a rebellious teen (now why does that sound so familiar?) who gives her mom, played by Demi Moore, fits before finally doing something unexpectedly redeeming. The usual formula used for rebel teen roles, mostly.

But at the heart of the matter is Miley‘s character which is geared at resounding in the soul of a generation who grew up with Facebook, Twitter, and texting…a character Miley herself embodies in real life.

In fact, the randy teenager spends most of her time texting…and sexting…in the movie.

“Everyone calls me Lol,”

she says at the opening of the trailer, giving audiences a glimpse Lola, the kind of sexually precocious character she’ll be playing.

After all, Demi did punch a backup dancer in the face back in 2010 after they had a heated argument on a plane. And we all know Miley’s a bit of a firecracker too, as evidenced by the fact that she cussed out a fan who was rude to her just last month.

In a recent interview with Seventeen magazine, Demi shares:

“There are two people that no matter how many times we fight, we will always be in each other’s lives.”

According to Demi, Miley Cyrus is one of them. However, she admits that when she and Miley fight, it can get ugly. She explains:

“Miley and I are very strong-headed, so when we fight, it’s brutal and we’re like, ‘We’re never going to be friends again!’“

But they always make up! Demi continues:

“…two days later, we’re like, ‘I love you and I miss you!’”

The other friend Demi can never cut out of her life is of course her longtime BFF, Selena Gomez. However, unlike Demi and the feisty Miss Cyrus, she and Justin Bieber’s ladylove never fight. Demi admits:

“Selena and I, we never fight. She’s not a confrontational person at all.”

She adds:

“Both of them will never leave my life no matter what happens, because we’ve been through so much together.””

Aside from Miley and Selena, Demi is also thankful for her other friends, such as Taylor Swift and Kim Kardashian, who were there for her when she was in rehab. She shares:

“We’re not super-close, but Taylor Swift tweeted ‘Pray for Demi,’ which I thought was really awesome of her. And Kim Kardashian, the busiest woman on the planet, took time to call me… [Kim] was there for me when not many people were. I could count on my hands how many people were there for me. So the people who were, I didn’t forget it.”

This revival of the new “Punk’d” presents a slightly new format with hosting duties rotating between Justin Bieber, Kellan Lutz, Bam Margera and others. In this preview, Khloe is invited for drinks and girl talk by Miley and her BFF Kelly Osbourne, and in the middle of their tête-à-tête, a delivery guy arrives and asks to use the bathroom…

Alas, he lets out a piercing scream and it turns out he’s injured a tender part of his anatomy in the toilet.

Imagine that. Who knew this guido would make an effective social media aviatophobia shrink?

Vinny, who’s Twitter pals with the former “Hannah Montana” actress, carried out a whole reassuring conversation with Miley about air travel that’s been re-tweeted many times over by their millions of followers. Who knew Miley Cyrus hated to fly? And who knew Vinny Guadagnino has the makings of a phobia counselor?

“Why do I have an anxiety attack everytime I step on an airplane. I [just] gotta remember what @tishcyrus says… Angels are under the wings.”

Miley moaned on her account, to which Vinny tweeted back:

“it’s all Good bro.. U Have a better chance or getting struck by lightening then Getting hurt on a plane.”

Which a seemingly relieved Miley countered with:

“or a coconut falling off the tree and hitting me in the head. Did you know more people die of that then shark attacks?!”

Makes you wonder about the kind of internal anguish Miley Cyrus goes through each time she gets on a plane to go on tour across the country…or even around the world…

“so stop worrying ass.”

Vinny scolded, and:

“PS I miss your husky.”

He added. Apparently this guido owns four dogs, four cats, a parrot, two snakes and a ferret, all of which he keeps under the same roof.

Whoever thought Vinny Guadagnino was quite the animal lover? This guy has heretofore unexplored depths we’ll need to plumb before 2012 comes to a close.

So here’s a New Year’s toast to unlikely Twitter friendships that have cured (we hope) Miley‘s fear of flying…

Miley does a lot of sexy photo shoots for high-fashion magazines and other publications, but who would have thought that her her casual, impromptu “photo shoots” could look just as good?

The former Disney star posed for some pics at the Laundromat with her older sis, Brandi Cyrus, and their friend Denika Doll. Brandi posted the photos on her Twitter account, saying:

“It may look like a photoshopt (sic), but we were legit doing laundry.”

And we all know how prolific a tweeter our Miley is, sending no less than a dozen tweets a day. Can you imagine how distracting that activity is for a boyfriend who barely even sends consecutive shoutouts to his 984 followers? Certainly Miley‘s cottoned on to this fact, because she’s trying her best not to let her social media obsession intrude upon their quiet Christmas holiday together…

“I hope everyone has a merry xmas. 2 make it more special try 2 spend every second w the ones u love & dont take their QT away by tweeting!”

Miley sent out to her millions of social media followers on Christmas Eve.

She also reassured fans that she and Liam were as happy and as in love as ever.

“Theres no trouble in paradise. I am so happy and SO LOVED.”

And if you have any doubt as to the state of their (well, her) bliss, just check out Miley‘s Twitter avatar above and contemplate on that adoring look she’s trained upon Liam.

“I am HUMAN and I need to be loved.”

Miley rationalized.

“Just like all 4,108,281 of you. Its x-mas make sure everyone you love knows how much xx”

And we’re guessing she showed Liam just how much, because that’s the last tweet we’ve heard since yesterday, and we haven’t heard a single peep from Miley yet.

Maybe they’re maximizing their Christmas “QT” together…

When Miley Cyrus is in a fine temper, she sure does know how to let her inner redneck shine through…with flying colors!

Star news learned it was a fairly minor incident that occurred when a group of fans gathered around Miley and beau Liam Hemsworth as they prepared to board a helicopter while on vacation in Costa Rica. Miley obligingly posed for photos, but excused herself after a while, saying:

“Sorry, gotta go honey,”

and she waved, only to be called an a**hole by one of the females in the group.

That got the former “Hannah Montana” star’s gander up, of course, and she turned right around and called the “fan” an a**hole right back.

“[expletive] Are you for real? We’re on vacation, I’m not being an a**hole, we’re on vacation. [expletive]“

before walking away from the group.

Fortunately, the fans realized the error of their ways and pursued Miley and Liam to apologize for the behavior of their pal.

And that just goes to show that you never mess with Miley Cyrus…or she’ll mess with you right back. Remember when she chewed out that paparazzo who accidentally pushed her mom away to take a photo of her?

“Been trying not to tweet & just enjoy the holidays but just to clear something up I would NEVER swear to a fan. When someone yells something”

Miley tweeted much later by way of apology.

“SO rude making ME look like an “a**hole” infront of fans who I am more than happy 2 take a picture w/ i cant tolerate that kind of rudeness”

Well, okay…looks like she’s still pissed.

“Every1 who was there apologized 4 the womans brusque behavior. She obviously wasnt a fan. Hope every1 has a Merry Christmas! LOVE 2 ALL!”

So, rude Miley fans…or non-fans…let this be a warning to you.

In the wake of her appearance at the CNN Heroes: An All-Star Tribute event dressed in a cleavage-baring Roberto Cavalli gown, Miley became the subject of a whole lot of boob job rumors, which were fueled by comments from plastic surgeons who agreed that she looked like she got herself some implants.

After finding out about the rumors, Miley immediately took to Twitter to deny that she had her breasts done. She said:

“Thank you for the compliment but these babies are all mine. I wish they’d realize you don’t have to be fake to be beautiful!”

Miley adds:

“I’m 19!!! BOOBS GROW PEOPLE!”

Well, she’s right. Boobs do grow…

Sure, they’re madly in love…they’re young and pheromones have been flung every which way. And if Miley thinks this is the basis for a lasting relationship, maybe she ought to consider giving it more time before deciding she’ll have only one man in her life forever. Maybe Miley‘s watched “Breaking Dawn” one time too many?

Miley‘s so sure about what she feels for her “The Last Song” co-star that she’s been telling quite a few friends she’s contemplating about making it a permanent thing. But as we haven’t heard a peep from Liam about this, we’re assuming Miley‘s sentiments are still under wraps.

“It couldn’t be better between the both of them.”

“They are figuring out where to spend the holidays together, but it will be together and they are madly in love and inseparable. Miley thinks Liam is ‘The One’.”

Well, things seem to be working out well between the both of them, especially now that Miley‘s not particularly busy with any album, tour or movie. But what happens when their work gets in the way and takes them to opposite sides of the world?

Will Liam still be “The One” then?
