What do you think? Would Naomi make a good People’s Princess?

Naomi has been cast as the late lamented Lady Di in a new, upcoming biopic called “Caught In Flight,” which will focus on the last two years of the Princess of Wales’ life, which right after she divorced Prince Charles.

Naomi said in a statement:

“It is such an honor to be able to play this iconic role… Princess Diana was loved across the world and I look forward to rising to the challenge of playing her on screen.”

The film, which was written by Stephen Jeffreys and directed by Oliver Hirschbiegel, will also focus on Princess Diana’s two-year affair with Dr. Hasnat Khan, who is said to be the love of her life.

Naomi looked gorgeous in a silver sequined Stella McCartney gown, which featured a plunging neckline and a sexy thigh-high slit. She completed the look with diamond encrusted strappy sandals and a long, multi-strand gold necklace.

As for hair and makeup, Naomi went for sideswept curls, red lips, and smokey brown eye makeup.

Naomi definitely looks amazing in this dress. And the strange thing is, it’s actually quite shapeless, and yet Naomi totally shines in it.

Maybe it’s all the “I’m so sexy” confidence she’s exuding?

Liev and his partner Naomi Watts and their two sons, three-year-old Sasha and two-year-old Sam are in Australia to celebrate Christmas with Naomi’s family. Naomi was born in Britain but raised in Australia. she also began her acting career in Australia.

Motherhood “is everything everyone says it is and more,” the actress told - Australia’s Herald Sun in April.

“There’s still so much to learn, I’m still figuring it out,” she added. “It’s amazing how you can lose yourself in hours of doing absolutely nothing but staring, making funny faces and noises. I’m having a great time.” - US Magazine

Naomi and Liev met on the set of the 2006 drama ‘The Painted Veil’. More kids to come? Well, Naomi is already 40 so she better keeps dropping them if she’s planning to have a bigger family. She looks amazing still, don’t she? Liev isn’t too shabby himself. I think he’s pretty hot for a 41. Anyone else?

 See, Naomi flashed a diamond ring that she knew would take attention away from other obvious matters.  Like her growing baby bump!  Look past the ring at US Magazine and notice the dress she has on.  Not so form fitting, huh?  Then we hear the news that she is indeed pregnant!  How did we not see this? 

Diamonds will not distract us again…when Nicole or Paris or Jessica are seen sporting bling, look beyond it to something else…

Naomi was caught walking with the ring plainly visible on her hand.  When you glance back a few weeks, she also had it on…is this something that slipped under the radar?  Naomi Watts has been dating Liev Schreiber for some time now…and the pair have a son together.  So why not be engaged?  And why is it such a big deal if she is wearing a diamond?

The Australian beauty must not know how ‘hungry’ the US press is for information like this!  No confirmation from her rep or his yet, but we’ll let you know.
