The former “Doogie Howser” star must have waited a long time for this kind of acknowledgement from the community. After all, he’s been in showbiz for over 20 years. And that star does deserves a celebratory drink or two. Or three. Or oh heck, drink up the whole bar while you’re at it…

“As much of an honor as this is, unfortunately, it won’t be the first time I’ve been plastered on the sidewalk in front of the Frolic Room,”

the “How I Met Your Mother” actor and Emmy winner said, apparently trying not to slur.

“And yes, that includes right now.”

Star news couldn’t blame Neil Patrick Harris for being over the moon. It isn’t everyday one gets a star of his own people can walk all over.

“I love it! It’s the perfect blend. I’m partly theater and I’m partly getting wasted, so it’s a nice combination.”

Neil exclaimed. So let’s all drink to that…cheers!

Neil and David recently became the proud fathers of beautiful twin babies, and now, with the passage of same-sex marriage in New York, their happiness is complete. Neil tweeted:

“We’ve been wearing engagement rings for ages, waiting for an available date.”

Right before the vote to pass same-sex marriage, he tweeted:

“I’d sure love to get married. Please, NY Senate, vote in favor of marriage equality today. My family would really appreciate it.”

Last night, after receiving news that marriage equality had been passed, an elated Neil took to Twitter once more to express his delight:

“It PASSED! Marriage equality in NY!! Yes!! Progress!! Thank you everyone who worked so hard on this!! A historic night!”

We’re pretty sure he and David are already planning their wedding. When do you think it will be?

Anyway, a source close to the couple says they’ve been working on this for awhile.

“The happy couple have put baby shower plans in motion, as if Harris’ chance of winning three Emmys this month wasn’t already enough to celebrate! Burtka, a chef and actor who has guest-starred on How I Met Your Mother, was just seen with his multitalented beau last weekend after Harris directed a production of Rent at the Hollywood Bowl. Star reported last year that Burtka and Harris had visited a surrogacy agency in L.A. to get the ball rolling on expanding their family. They’ve been together for roughly six years.”

Congrats! Wonder how much this surrogate will earn carrying the twin babies and whose sperm they used. So many questions!

Neil and Jeff Probst were both in on the skit, to simulate a tribal council.  But when Neil was changing, his tuxedo caught fire.  E! Online says:

Remote-control packs attached to the back of Harris’ Survivor costume send up clouds of smoke as he rips off his tattered clothes to reveal a snazzy tux underneath.

Turns out his clothes caught on fire shortly after the remote packs were triggered. Sparks from the electronic devices are believed to be the cause of the mishap.

Fortunately, Harris wasn’t seriously injured. “He just had some welts on his back,” a source reveals. “He didn’t have to be taken to a hospital or anything like that.”

That’s good news.  That would be one skit turned reality that people probably don’t want to watch live on TV!  Jeff was not injured during the taping of the stunt either.  Get well soon!
