After a parade of romantic (but low-key) dates and sexy vacation getaways, Nick and Delta, who started dating in May 2011, have decided to end their relationship after nearly a year of being together.

Delta’s publicist released a joint statement from the couple today to Hollywood news, which reads:

“Nick and Delta have decided mutually to end their relationship… At this point in time, they are both focused on their careers as they go on different paths. They remain friends and wish each other the best for the future.”

With eight years separating them, it doesn’t come as a surprise that Nick and Delta’s relationship did not last (although there are plenty of Hollywood couples who were able to successfully make it work despite a large age gap). However, it seems that it wasn’t a matter of age (or maturity), but rather a conflict in schedules…

Nick is simply very busy performing in NYC in his first Broadway stint (he currently stars in “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying”) and Delta is about to start a new gig as a judge on the Australian version of “The Voice” alongside Joel Madden, Keith Urban, and Seal, which of course would require her to stay in Australia.

Cliché as it sounds, it probably just wasn’t meant to be.

Nick and Delta enjoyed a serious love fest in Los Cabos, Mexico last weekend. The couple was spotted hanging out in front of their hotel’s pool, holding hands while sunbathing, gazing into each other’s eyes, and all that good stuff.

Apparently Nick couldn’t keep his hands off of Delta, because at one point, the youngest Jonas brother had his girlfriend pinned against the pool’s edge while they cooled off in the water.

Nick and Delta began dating in May of this year, as previously reported by celebrity gossip websites. Their relationship raised quite a few eyebrows as they are separated by an almost 10-year age gap—Nick is 18 (almost 19) while Delta is 26.

What do you think of Nick and Delta‘s relationship? Do you think it’s weird that she’s so much older than him, or is it really no big deal?

Miley was doing a concert in Mexico City, performing her hit song ‘7 Things’—which was rumored to be about Nick—when some fans passed her a snapshot of herself and a boy who looked A WHOLE LOT like Nick, despite the fact that his face was slightly covered by a doodle.

Then, in an act that somewhat shocked her fans (and gave celebrity gossip websites something new to speculate about), Miley took the photo and shredded it to pieces in the middle of her performance!

Is Miley really still bitter about her failed relationship with Nick, even after all these years?

Concentrating on a waning music career (the Jonas Brothers have last been relevant in “Camp Rock 2″) can be difficult with an attractive distraction around. So is the 8-year difference (he’s 18, she’s 26) making Nick happy?

“I imagine so. I haven’t really spoken to him much.”

Kevin‘s been quoted as saying. Well we do imagine…we imagine quite a whole lot!

In fact, we and all Hollywood news and gossip have a wonderful 3D high definition imagination. Delta‘s an experienced older woman, after all, who can bring a lot to the kind of relationship they must be having.

Still, Kevin defends his brother Nick‘s raging post-adolescent libido by dousing our imagination with the staid pronouncement of an older married man:

“Right now, he’s really focused on his music. He’s working with millions of other artists doing different things. It’s really incredible. He has a new one in the studio every day. At 18, he’s able to produce artists that have been around forever and it’s so cool.”

Riiiiiiiight.

Nick was spotted holding hands with Delta in LA last weekend, and they were looking pretty darn happy together. Nick even tweeted:

“I feel so blessed. Had a great weekend.”

In the past, Nick preferred girls his own age, like Disney stars Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez, so this ay come as a surprise to his fans. Delta, on the other hand, was previously engaged to Westlife singer Brian McFadden before they broke up last April.

The Disney starlet performed her new song “Who Says.” The proceeds of the event will go to raise money for City of Hope, a leading cancer research and treatment center.

While Selena is doing charitable work in L.A. her boyfriend Justin Bieber has just made another World record! We have to give Justin a title something like “King of Teen Pop.” Bieber’s movie ”Never Say Never” has just passed Michael Jackson’s documentary “This is It’s” box office record.

Bravo Justin, surely girlfriend Selena has gotta be so proud of you like all of us. I think Selena and Justin look cuter than Selena and Nick. What do you think?

“The big 18! You know birthdays for me, I always feel like they’re kind of ridiculous,” he dished to MTV News at the “Camp Rock 2″ premiere weeks before the big day. “But it’s fun. I’m excited.”

Unlike most celebrities who would prefer to fly under the radar (literally) Nick Jonas would like all of London to know he’s arriving.

After begging: “Are any of you guys gonna be waiting at Heathrow Terminal 1 for me to arrive?” he gave exact details of his airline, flight number and arrival time on Thursday.

No word on whether or not anybody showed up.

Young Nick sure does not have to worry about not having a hot girlfriend then again, I don’t think any of the Jonas brothers would have that headache. He and Gomez just recently ended their on-and-off relationship. Honestly they are at the age that’s too young to be in a steady relationship so this is a good thing.

We can totally relate (even though we aren’t seventeen) why so many girls including Selena Gomez would fall for young Nick; he’s ever so talented and cute.  

Are they (Nick and Selena) still dating? Nothing official but sources are saying that Nick and Selena have split up again! Also, we just found out that they aren’t following each other on Twitter anymore.  Isn’t that a big giveaway? (Sigh)

Who knows perhaps they will date again someday, they are still so young.

The Kid’s Choice Awards were this weekend and the three Jonas brothers, Kevin’s wife and Demi hit the carpet looking like family. Do you think Demi is getting ideas? From Access Hollywood:

 Demi Lovato and Joe Jonas took their romance public in a big way on Saturday at Nickelodeon’s 23rd Annual Kids’ Choice Awards.

“We’ve never actually stepped out and held hands until today,” Demi told Access Hollywood on the orange carpet. “You know, in front of people. It’s fun though – he’s really special.”

The two sang a duet on “American Idol” last week, and even with an audience of millions, the new couple wasn’t too nervous.

“Not when you’re up there with your best friend. It’s really great,” Joe said, adding he was more worried about Simon, Randy, Ellen and Kara at the judges’ table.

It’s only been two weeks since Demi and Joe’s relationship was confirmed. Do you think they will last?

Selena hasn’t confirmed she is dating a Jonas brother. Officially. But since she is always with him…according to Why Fame:

So while in the Northpark Mall in Dallas, Selena picked up a watch engraved with the phrase “Check the time … I love you right now”.

More than that, she personalized the box with a line from a Roy Croft love poem: “I love you, not only for what you are, but for what I am with you”. No matter if her boyfriend is (or isn’t) Nick Jonas, the watch (that worth $148.31) was definitely for a boy.

That’s actually a sweet idea. Maybe I’ll steal it in the future! Do you think the gift was meant for Nick?

Spies for HollywoodLife.com report that Nick and Selena left LA eatery Phillippe Chow on February 2nd.

“Nick and Selena had dinner with about 10 friends in the wine cellar.” While the 17-year-olds didn’t have a romantic one-on-one date, spending time with one another’s friends is just another sign that the former love birds — who dated from July 2008 to early 2009 — are back together. More proof: on Jan. 22, Selena caught a ride home with the Jonas brothers after the ‘Hope for Haiti’ telethon. And, just days before, on Jan. 16 and 17, the Wizards of Waverly Place starlet visited Nick in both Chicago and Detroit during his Nick Jonas And the Administration tour, and was caught inconspicuously climbing off his tour bus. Then, during the Detroit show, Selena was seen weeping while Nick sang the song “Stay.” Awww.

Weeping? She was weeping? Regardless, these two kids make a cute couple. Don’t you think?

Selena is busy raising money for the Haiti earthquake victims. Nick is busy…doing whatever Nick does. From Contact Music:

The Jonas Brothers star, 17, who is currently playing a series of gigs around the U.S. with his new band, Nick Jonas and The Administration, reportedly dated Gomez in secret for nearly a year before parting ways last February (09).
And speculation is growing that they are an item once again after Gomez, also 17, was seen stepping off Jonas’ tour bus with him ahead of a concert in Detroit, Michigan on Saturday (16Jan10).
The Disney star was later spotted in the crowd at the show with Jonas’ father, Kevin Jonas Sr and also accompanied her rumoured boyfriend to a gig in Chicago, Illinois on Monday (18Jan10).

Does this sound like a date or what? Selena is a pretty smart girl, so she must know what she is doing. Do you think they make a good couple?

Nick, 16 said earlier to week to a sold-out audience at the National Press Club, a venue often reserved for presidents, kings and chief executives but for Jonas had many seats occupied by teenage and pre-teen girls.

Jonas added If he goes to college, “I’d probably study English and then political science because I’m interested in it,” he said. At the moment, Nick’s touring with his band and will start shooting with his brothers for TV show “Camp Rock 2″ in September.
