The fabulous fashion designer and “Fashion Star” host put her best fashion foot forward at the red carpet event in a black empire-waist Emilio Pucci dress, which featured sheer long sleeves, a short skirt, and a dramatic train.

To complete her outfit, Nicole added a black House of Harlow clutch, plain black pumps, and a pair of leaf-shaped gold earrings.

It’s a beautiful dress, but maybe not the right choice for Nicole since she’s so petite. Such a long train requires a much taller woman to give it that extra oomph.

As for styling, the former reality star went with an intricate topknot with heavy, blunt bangs, smokey eye makeup, and glossy nude lips.

Hit or miss?

The fashion designer, who currently serves as a mentor on the reality TV show “Fashion Star” alongside Jessica Simpson, wore a bright yellow Julien Macdonald halter gown with a layered, asymmetrical peplum skirt and a silver belt.

She accessorized with a sparkly bronze Jimmy Choo clutch, glittering silver peep-toe pumps, and House of Harlow jewelry.

Shimmery brown eye makeup, bronzed cheeks, and a nude lip completed Nicole’s look.

If you ask us, it would be nice seeing these two on primetime television at all.

It has been a while since Nicole and soon-to-be mom Jessica were last seen on TV for their shows “A Simple Life,” with socialite on-and-off best friend Paris Hilton, and “Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica” with former 98 Degrees ex-husband, Nick Lachey. This team up obviously puts their feud rumors to rest at last.

Being fashion designers and established brands themselves, celebrity mothers Nicole and Jessica team up as the show’s mentors alongside high fashion menswear designer John Varvatos, in a new reality show hosted by model-actress Elle McPherson where the three biggest names in fashion, namely Sacks, Macy’s and H&M, bid for the next big fashion star. Kind of sounds like “Project Runway” to us, but with a quicker start for one successful designer.

The edge? We would be able to purchase the exact item bought off the “Fashion Star” runway in their respective new shops the very next day. It could very well be the modernist home TV shopping, but for designer clothes!

Judging from the absence of her long, beachy waves, headbands, and maxidresses, it’s safe to say that Nicole has definitely left her hippie chick style behind.

The fashion designer looked fab in a strapless white Emanuel Ungaro dress with sequin embellishments, a pair of nude Christian Loubotin heels, and a brown crocodile skin House of Harlow clutch.

Nicole completed the look with shiny, shoulder-length waves, shimmery eye makeup, and glossy nude lips.

So if Nicole doesn’t own any makeup, how does she manage to always look so stunning and stylish on the red carpet—or basically anywhere she goes?

Simple… she leaves it to the pros.

Nicole admits to InStyle:

“I actually don’t know how to put on makeup—at all… I have to get it done [by a makeup artist] every time I want to wear makeup. I do not know how to wear it at all. It’s so bad.”

She adds:

“I can do my own hair, but I can not do makeup.”

Since she’s clueless about makeup, Nicole doesn’t see the need to stock up on the stuff. She continues:

“I don’t even own it. I only own undereye concealer, Maybelline mascara, and an eyelash curler.”

You don’t even own any lipstick, Nicole? Surely you know how to apply lip products? That’s like the most basic thing!

Nicole attended the NBC Universal 2012 Winter TCA Press Tour All-Star Party on Friday in an oversized cream blazer, a pair of Antonio Berardi embellished leggings, and nude Christian Loubotin pumps. She accessorized with a silver drop pendant necklace, some funky rings from her House of Harlow jewelry collection, and a mustard crocodile-skin clutch.

The former reality star completed the look with bronze eye makeup and coral lipstick.

As always, Nicole looks incredibly stylish and well put-together. Her outfit is both funky and elegant, and she looks amazing in it.

Nicole graced the 2011 ACE Awards in a sleek black Antonio Berardi gown, which featured a plunging neckline and a modest thigh-high slit.

As always, Nicole incorporated at least one piece from her House of Harlow collection into her red carpet look—and this time she chose a black studded clutch. She completed the outfit with black and gold drop earrings and a pair of black pumps.

Nicole finished it all off with a French twist, shimmery brown eye makeup, and glossy nude lips.

While the look isn’t in-your-face amazing, it’s still very chic, if a bit monochromatic.

Celebrity gossip websites are currently fawning over Nicole’s hilarious costume choice. The former reality star dressed as Jennifer Lopez for Halloween by wearing J.Lo’s signature pink tracksuit. She accessorized with large aviator sunglasses, gold hoop earrings, a Louis Vitton bag, and a very Jennifer Lopez-esque bun.

Determined to be as close to the real thing as she could get, Nicole even slathered on some tanning stuff so she could mimic J.Lo’s golden skintone.

Granted Nicole‘s entitled to change the way her chest looks, after having her mammaries ravaged by breastfeeding, but do you think her new boobs look natural with the stretched flesh of her rack considerably lighter than the rest of her?

And does the boob job mean Nicole‘s calling a halt to any more babies after Harlow and Sparrow?

In any case, we’re glad Nicole opted for moderately sized implants instead of going from her usual cup A to a Heidi Montag triple D cup.  Now that monstrosity takes the cake.

Nicole finally spoke up saying there’s no truth to all the feud gossip:

“That couldn’t be further from the truth,”

Nicole revealed in an interview.

“I actually love and adore Jessica. I’ve known her for years … she is someone who’s very kind, very sweet and extremely smart.”

Nicole also respects Jessica‘s business sense, saying Jess is…

“a great business woman and someone that I really respect … I actually couldn’t love someone or respect someone more.”

Is Nicole merely paying lip service to keep the peace? Or does she really mean what she says.

So, here’s the question: Is Nicole’s hippie style getting old?

Nicole hosted the Fashion’s Night Out event in Los Angeles in a gauzy, long-sleeved purple maxidress with floral designs. And of course, she had on her signature headpiece—a headband. The former reality star capped her look with a bejeweled headband, which she wore over her hippie-chic blonde tresses.

We know, we know. This whole hippie look is Nicole’s thing—she’s even incorporated it into her clothing line—but isn’t it getting kind of, well, tiring?

Reports claim that there’s a catfight brewing between Jessica and Nicole on the set of their NBC reality TV show, “Fashion Star,” on which they both serve as mentors to aspiring fashion designers. A source says:

“There’s definite friction between Nicole and Jessica on Fashion Star, and they’re both very curt.”

Another source reveals:

“They chat only when they need to, and they have wildly different opinions about style. [Nicole] thinks Jessica doesn’t have much of a high-fashion eye. And she makes snarky comments about Jessica’s outfits.”

But despite Nicole’s critical attitude towards Jessica’s mainstream fashion sense, she’s still on the losing end of the argument. Why? Because her clothing line, House of Harlow, earned only $10 million in sales last year, while Jessica’s raked in a whopping $750 million.

The second source adds:

“Jessica doesn’t really care what Nicole thinks. Nicole may know trends, but Jessica believes she knows how to make clothes for all kinds of women.”

Maybe—but then again, maybe not. After all, Nicole hasn’t had much publicity in the past year, and it doesn’t seem to bother her at all. Paris, however, definitely needs it now more than ever.

The former ‘Simple Life’ stars were spotted hanging out and enjoying each other’s company at an event for their mutual friend, Charlotte Ronson.

Paris and Nicole used to be best friends once upon a time. But then they had a falling out, and the two haven’t been seen together since. Paris wasn’t even invited to Nicole’s wedding to hubby Joel Madden.

Now, it seems that Paris and Nicole are ready to build bridges and mend fences.

While Nicole has always looked svelte, a few snapshots of her in flowing dresses have begun the usual pregnancy inquiries.

“Contrary to recent speculation, I am not pregnant. This irresponsible reporting continues to feed an atmosphere of self-doubt and insecurity. To publicly point out a change in anyone’s body is mean spirited and cruel. People’s bodies change and change again. This is not newsworthy and is a waste of valuable media space that should be used for more important issues.”

Amen!

Basically, Nicole told Charlie he needs to grow up and quite relying on other people to stand him back up again.

Nicole Richie knows a thing or two about rehab, and she had some things to say about Charlie Sheen’s latest troubles while co-hosting on ‘The View.’

According to Us Magazine, the 29-year-old newlywed and mother of two blasted Sheen’s comments that CBS has meddled in his “personal life” and his attempts at sobriety.

“I don’t think he should make it somebody else’s responsibility to keep him sober,” Richie, who has been arrested three times and went to rehab once for substance abuse, said.

Isn’t Nicole like 20 years younger than Charlie? Why should she have to be the one to tell Charlie to go and get cleaned up?
