Patrick Swayze is undergoing an experimental treatment in a bid to beat pancreatic cancer, according to reports. Swayze is trying out revolutionary new surgical tool the CyberKnife.

According to National Enquirer – which broke news of Swayze’s cancer plight – the CyberKnife delivers high doses of radiation to pinpoint precision, without damaging surrounding tissue. It’s hoped the treatment – taking place at Stanford University’s Cancer Center in California – will stop the cancer growing, or shrink the pancreas so it can be removed. Best of luck to Patrick and his family! -SP

Patrick Swayze has pancreatic cancer but George Fisher, the doctor treating Swayze, said: “All of the reports stating the timeframe of his prognosis and his physical side-effects are absolutely untrue.” Dr Fisher added: “We are considerably more optimistic.”

Swayze was said to have undergone radical chemotherapy in California in January. However, there were claims that the disease had already spread to Swayze’s other vital organs.
