Ashley Greene has a good number of red carpet wins under her belt, and they range from retro glam satin dresses to sparkling gold frocks—but this latest outfit, which reminds us of Jessica Alba’s black leather dress at the 2012 Golden Globes “A Promise of Beauty and Brilliance” Preview Event, is nothing but disappointing.

Ashley wore a custom-made DKNY leather dress, which featured a black lace yoke with long sleeves and a high, turtleneck collar. She accessorized with a chunky black and silver bracelet and a pair of black pumps.

So what’s wrong with this look? First, it’s too tight… you can almost see an outline of Ashley’s underwear if you look close enough!

Oh, and that lace! Leather and lace could probably work if done right, but as you can see this DKNY creation just doesn’t bring the two contrasting materials together in a harmonious way.

On a positive note, Ashley’s styling was flawless. However, her choice of hairstyle and makeup just didn’t go with the dress. Smokey eyes and an edgy updo would have made this look a bit better.

Jennifer made her red carpet comeback with a Viktor & Rolf dress, which consisted of electric blue swirls and cutouts over a black mesh fabric (and some sort of flesh-toned lining), black Sergio Rossi peep-toe pumps, and simple black earrings.

The actress finished off the look with a ponytail, smokey eyes, and a shimmery coral lipstick.

It’s a good thing Jennifer kept her Katniss Everdeen brunette hair—it definitely works with this spunky dress. Her old “California girl” blond tresses would not have looked as good with it.

A shorter skirt would have been better though… and possibly some chunky black bangles.

Lucy donned another sparkly number on the red carpet, in the form of a black beaded Cengiz Abazoglu asymmetrical dress, which had a rather futuristic neckline and piece of long, black fabric tied around the waist.

The “Pretty Little Liars” star completed the look with a black Swarovski clutch and black platform pumps.

It’s quite an interesting dress…  but maybe it would have looked better without the extra fabric. Aside from that, it’s a cute look, even if it is a bit too monochromatic.

But Lucy did shine in the hair and makeup department: soft, shoulder-length waves, smokey eye makeup, and glossy bubblegum pink lips.

Do you love it or do you hate it?

Emma is getting pretty close to losing the “style icon” title she earned for herself last year, thanks to her recent lackluster performance on the red carpet.

Her most recent underwhelming red carpet outfit was a Gucci pantsuit, which consisted of an emerald green jacket with black lapels and a gold chain, black trousers with gold buttons on the ankle, and a white dress shirt.

Emma accessorized the ensemble with Tiffany & Co. jewelry and black peep-toe pumps.

Sloppy—that’s the only word that comes to mind with this one. Emma’s hair looks stringy (and even a bit oily), and her shirt kind of looks untucked.

It’s a good thing Ms. Stone won two awards (Favorite Movie Actress and Favorite Comedic Movie Actress), because she certainly didn’t—and won’t—win one for red carpet style.

Hit or miss?

It’s quite an unexpected look for Vanessa since she usually favors “boho chick” ensembles on or off the red carpet… but she still looks great, of course.

Vanessa wore a sheer black Jenny Packham dress with glittering gold web embroidery, which she paired with black satin pumps, gold dangle earrings, and a black and gold clutch.

Keeping in line the whole sultry theme, Vanessa accentuated her facial features with dark, smokey eyes, bronzed cheeks, and glossy lips.

The “Vampire Diaires” actress, who won the award for “Favorite TV Drama Actress,” wore a bright green Elie Saab dress with sheer long sleeves adorned with lace detailing, nude strappy sandals, a nude Laura Merkin clutch, and J. Maderne jewelry.

As for hair and makeup, Nina ditched her usual curly locks for stick-straight hair, which she complemented with soft gold eye makeup and glossy lips.

Miley ditched her usual red carpet formula, which consists of her usual cleavage-baring gown and hundreds of accessories, and kept it stylish and classy in an off-white David Koma dress, which featured see-through mesh panels on the bodice (okay, it’s still a plunging neckline, but still!) and on the skirt, and colorful, futuristic embellishments along the hemline.

The dress boasts of such a classy yet unusual design that it manages to look simple yet interesting, all at the same time.

How very fashion-forward of you, Miley.

As for accessories, the former Disney star kept the chunky bangles and cocktail rings at home and opted for simple diamond stud earrings, a silver Marchesa clutch, metallic pink pointed-toe Jimmy Choo pumps, and hunky beau Liam Hemsworth.

Oh, and let’s not forget Miley’s makeup (which was perfect): lush lashes, sunkissed cheeks, and a soft, peachy-nude lip color.

Miley could easily be the best-dressed celeb at the People’s Choice Awards, don’t you think?

Lea is getting raves left and right for her stunning red carpet look on Wednesday, which consisted of a sexy white and nude Marchesa dress, sparkly gold ankle-strap Jimmy Choo sandals, a gold clutch, and diamond-encrusted Lorraine Schwartz chandelier earrings.

The “Glee” star finished the look with sideswept hair and an attention-grabbing pink lipstick.

Demi obviously can’t stop showing off her cleavage, because the “Skyscraper” singer walked the red carpet in yet another cleavage-baring ensemble… a strapless peach Marchesa gown with a sweetheart neckline, a jewel-encrusted bodice, and a long, dramatic train. She completed the outfit with a gorgeous gold and turquoise Marchesa clutch and metallic gold Loubotin peep-toes.

The entire outfit is gorgeous (if a bit much for the occasion), but somehow it doesn’t look good on Demi. The dress is a bit too tight, and it makes her look, well, stuffed. The ageing updo didn’t help, either.

However, we must give props to Demi for her flawless makeup. Face-wise, she’s immaculately stunning!

While the “Firework” singer has no plans of avoiding people, cameras and speculations during this annual awards event, producers and organizers have effectively “disinvited” her ex, English stand-up comedian Russell, to prevent any awkward and embarrassing situations that are expected to occur between the former couple at the celebrity-heavy affair…

“It will be Katy’s big night, a prelude to the Grammys, and now Russell has been strangely left off the list of attendees for the high-profile event,”

a source told the London Mirror.

“It was always going to be awkward for organizers in any case after their shock decision to split. But in order to avoid any awkwardness or confrontation Russ is no longer on the list.”

If you were Russell Brand, would you stand for this kind of treatment?

Oh, wait. He’s English. He is on foreign soil, after all.

And Katy‘s got a lot of incentive to attend the Awards. Her California Dreams tour was a sellout. She also tied Michael Jackson by scoring five No. 1 singles from the same album on the charts, making last year, and perhaps even this year, the most successful period of her career.

And what has Russell Brand been up to lately? Right. Nothing much, really. Ouch.

Katy‘s due to attend the annual Grammy Awards next month, as well, where her single “Firework” has been nominated to win a host of golden gramophones.

It was a big night for the Twilight clan with The Twilight Saga: Eclipse winning four awards. Eclipse was named favorite overall movie, as well as favorite drama by the fans. Robert Patterson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner took home the award for favorite onscreen team. Kristen bagged the favorite movie actress trophy.

It was equally as big of a night for TV’s House M.D. and rapper Eminem each also winning four awards at Wednesday’s People’s Choice.

If you haven’t heard Khloe and her hubby Lamar Odom landed themselves their own reality TV show on E! The new show doesn’t have a name yet but the husband and wife team will give it a funny sit-comish favor.

Did you know Khloe’s husband is a very consistent player for the LA Lakers? He seeked permission from his coach and the team’s GM before commiting to do his own reality show.

It was a big night for Sandra Bullock. Sandra and co-star Ryan Reynolds’ “The Proposal” won the award for best comedy movie. Bullock also picked up the favorite movie actress award. If you haven’t seen The Proposal, you are missing out one of the best romantic comedies, trust me on this one.

As for the “Twilight” fans, Twilight picked up four trophies, including favourite movie, franchise and on-screen team for the  trio: Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner. Taylor also won the breakout male actor award.

Congratulations to the winners and to those always looking so hot with or without a trophy!

Since Kate wasn’t there to present the award for Favorite Male Funny or something, Ellen Degeneres stepped in.  Per People Magazine, she said this:

Ellen Degeneres was a good sport as she presented the first award of the night, filling in for Kate Hudson whom, she said, was stuck in traffic and “40 minutes away.” Said DeGeneres with a laugh: “That’s no way to sell a movie.”

Did you watch the awards this year?  Were they any good? It seems like it was a precursor to the other awards shows, so that means The Dark Knight is probably going to clean up!
