Celebrity news has learned that KIM KARDASHIAN thought it was funny when RICKY GERVAIS called her “trashy” in his opening monologue for this year’s Golden Globes. But of course Kim’s not upset—she was mentioned at the Golden Globe Awards! That’s almost as good as if she were actually there!
True to form, three-peat host Ricky Gervais started off the Golden Globe Awards by insulting some celebrities… and one of them was, of course, Kim Kardashian.
MADONNA and Golden Globes host RICKY GERVAIS got the mischief ball rolling by trading “insults” with each other during the 2o12 Golden Globe Awards.
A mere comedian like Gervais insulting a pop icon? Inconceivable!
But the Material Girl took it in stride and threw her own insult right back…which just goes to show that you never mess with somebody who’s kissed a girl, not only on TV, but in real life, as well…
James Franco will co-host the Oscars with Anne Hathaway tomorrow night and is confident he’ll do a better job than Ricky Gervais on The Golden Globes. Gervais was a controversial host who got the crowd riled up due to all his celebrity mudslinging. Franco for his part say he and Hathaway will do much better.
When Gervais passed along a scrip with suggestions for the two actors, Franco told The Hollywood Reporter:

Ricky threw darts at everyone from Tom Cruise to Angelina Jolie to Hugh Hefner. Perhaps it was a bit out of place, but the jokes themselves weren’t too scathing.
Anyway, Gervais is not apologizing. When asked how he feels about the backlash he told reporters:
Jennifer Lopez threatened to kill Ricky Gervais! No joke, don’t mess with Jenny from the Bronx! Gervais joked about J Lo’s being a flashing spender on stage, it could have been much worse if J Lo didn’t threatened to kill him beforehand!
J Lo thinks Ricky, the Golden Globes’ host was gutsy.

Gervais dissed Charlie Sheen, Robert Downey Jr., Steve Carell, Cher, The Tourist starring the two big A-listers Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, Tom Cruise, John Travolta and just about everyone else you can think of.
Oh he called Bruce Willis Ashton Kutcher’s dad. I’m sure Bruce wasn’t too amused.
