Apparently, Dan wants to move as far away as possible from his “Harry Potter” image by admitting he’s been an alcoholic, and doing film projects guaranteed to scare the socks off us. But it seems that isn’t enough, because here he is trying to scrounge up a bromance with “Ides of March” star, Ryan Gosling…

“This year I have a talent crush on Ryan Gosling. I think he’s fantastic and…(ahem) you know he’d be nice afterwards. He seems smart. If I was gay, I would go for a smart man.”

Dan told Perez Hilton.

If he was gay.

Is Dan trying to tell us something here? That maybe after spending a whole chunk of his childhood and some of his early adulthood immersed in work at Hogwarts, he forgot to spend some time with his sexuality, and as a result is just now realizing his being hetero is a bit off?

Maybe Dan‘s trying to give us hints to prepare us for a future reveal?

Because he’s been spouting off about gay marriage, too:

“The ultimate reason gay marriage should be legalized everywhere is because, as a kid, you look to your mum and dad and they’re married, then you look at the gay couple who’ve been together for the same amount of time, but because they can’t get married their relationship doesn’t seem the same. Gay people should have equality in law everywhere. If you grow up as a young gay man knowing you don’t have the same opportunities as everyone else, you’re going to feel victimized and massive prejudice towards you.”

Ryan is up for a double whammy for his films, comedy “Crazy, Stupid Love,” and the drama “Ides of March.” Is he feeling uber-confident he’ll win that he won’t even grace the much-awaited awards with his presence, or is he perhaps thinking George Clooney and Brad Pitt are tougher contenders to beat for “Descendants” and “Moneyball,” so why bother, right?

Not so, celebrity news just learned.

Our blonde Canadian hunk can’t be at the Globes because he’s working…out of the country! He’s currently shooting “Only God Forgives,” a mixed martial arts movie helmed by “Drive” director Nicolas Winding Refn that’s set in Bangkok.

Don’t that beat all for staunch professionalism and a solid work ethics?

And maybe ladylove Eva Mendes is in balmy Thailand to keep him company, so why fly back to cold, blustery United States for the chance to grab a couple of round golden globes on a pedestal. Isn’t that what Eva is for?

The 31-year-old Canadian hunk and the 37-year-old Cuban-American actress have been going hot and heavy since they were spotted on a date in Disneyland last September. Now, it seems they’re at a stage where the parents get involved…will we be seeing a ring on Eva‘s finger soon?

Ryan rang in the New Year with his two lovely ladies by his side…Eva and his mom, and they went and saw a movie together in uptown Manhattan just before 2012 broke.

“They all hung out and went to the movies together,”

a source revealed to People Magazine.

“Ryan and Eva seemed very happy.”

In fact, the couple had jetted in from Los Angeles earlier to meet up with Ryan‘s mom in New York, and coming in from the flight, the non-stop PDA just…well…didn’t stop.

“They kept kissing and hugging while they waited to board their flight,”

an onlooker reported.

“Eva looked gorgeous and kept smiling.”

It’s the early days yet in the relationship but it appears as if Eva‘s head over heels.

“While they waited for a cab outside the hotel, they kept kissing,”

The onlooker continued.

“They both looked very happy.”

Well, it’s a good thing if Ryan Gosling has finally gotten over Rachel McAdams. Looks like we’re in for either one of two things this year. An engagement or a wedding.

Does he really mean that, or has he been receiving death threats from Ryan Gosling‘s fans?

Granted, “The Hangover” hunk isn’t really known for being exceedingly vain about his looks and boasting about them…so entertainment news is ready to give him the benefit of the doubt when he says Ryan Gosling deserves that title more than he does…

The 36-year-old actor was on the “Graham Norton Show” the other day and he admitted feeling terrible about having been conferred the title of “People’s Sexiest Man Alive” for 2011:

“It’s the worst. Oh, it’s just so awful.”

Bradley laments.

“I’m finally at an age – I’m 36 years old – where I really don’t care about anything like that anymore, which is wonderful thing, and then it happened. And then I started to realize just how not sexy I am.”

Is this truly self-effacing humility, or is Bradley Cooper trying to appease Ryan Gosling fans who were reportedly up-in-arms over People passing over their Canadian pretty boy?

“I have a lot of moments where I’m walking out and I’ll open up the door and think to myself, ‘I could do that a lot sexier’.”

Bradley continues.

“He [Ryan Gosling] literally looks like he’s in a photo shoot, like he just came off the runway. I literally look like the neighbour who never comes really out of his house.”

We don’t know how 31-year-old Ryan Gosling‘s taking this, but he’s relatively young, isn’t he? He’s got a lot of years in him yet to take over that crown. After all, George Clooney was named the sexiest man at the age of 36 and 46, and Brad Pitt at age 32 and 37.

Who’s to say Ryan won’t quadruple that feat in the near future?

Unless People votes for a reluctant Bradley Cooper again next time around…

Ryan reportedly surprised Eva, whom he’s been dating since September, by flying all the way to Paris where Eva’s been shooting her latest film, “Holly Motors.” A source tells Us Weekly:

“Ryan flew out to be with Eva as soon as she wrapped Holly Motors.”

Eva reportedly had no idea that Ryan was coming to see her. A second source says:

“[Eva] was totally shocked… They were talking all the time so she had no hints that he was coming.”

The insider adds:

“She was really homesick and missed him, even though she practically just left to shoot!”

The couple spent their second day together in Paris at the Pere Lachaise cemetery, walking arm-in-arm, making out, taking pictures, and more.

The two haven’t really spoken to the press about their very physical…they once went hiking in Hollywood together…relationship, but we’re guessing body language always tells…

Eva may be in the driver’s seat, literally, but the tender way she runs her hand through his hair after the smooch, despite the presence of paparazzi (and our envious gazes) tells us she really doesn’t care. Not even about the seven-year age difference.

So does Ryan seem like he’s just going with the flow here, or is he as smitten with Eva Mendes as the rest of the male population is? As Eva is with him?

Jeez, Ryan! You’re only 30 years old!

Ryan has had three big movies this year, and he’s currently working on two more, which are both coming out in 2013. So yeah, we can definitely understand why he’d be feeling burned out right now—he’s been acting for nearly two decades, after all.

In his latest interview, Ryan shared:

“I’ve been doing this since I was 12… I don’t want to act much longer; I can’t do one thing my whole life… I know there are only so many characters I’ll be able to play. It will be over whenever the inspiration dries up.”

It’s pretty strange that Ryan’s already talking about the end of his acting days, especially now that he’s at the peak of his career. And yes, we believe he’s at his peak—three movies in one year is the most he’s ever done in his entire career, plus he’s now considered one of Hollywood’s hottest hunks. With his chiseled abs, he could probably give Ryan Reynolds—who was on the People’s Sexiest Man Alive list three years in a row—a run for his money.

In addition to his impending retirement, Ryan also talks a lot about his youthful beginnings in the industry—specifically, the Mickey Mouse Club. The actor jokes:

“I have a real love-hate thing going on with Disney. It’s a slippery conversational slope… I’ll give you an example of why I love and hate them. I don’t know if this is true or not, and I do not want to get sued by Disney… There is a belief that Disney has been breeding an army of cats. And they’re not just ordinary cats. They have a special set of skills. They’re like commando cats and they live in a barracks — a cat barracks, I don’t know what you call it — and they live on the outskirts of the park. And at night, when they close the park under the cover of darkness, these cats descend into the park and they eat all the mice. Which is what I love about Disney because they’re so weird and they think of everything… But what’s so messed up and why I hate them, is that the whole empire of Disney is built on the back of one mouse.”

How creative. Maybe Ryan should consider a career in writing sci-fi novels or children’s books after he retires from acting.

Ryan dated Sandra, his “Murder By Numbers” co-star, from 2002 to 2003 and Rachel, his “The Notebook” co-star, from 2004 to 2008. The “Drive” actor reveals:

“I had two of the greatest girlfriend (sic) of all time. I haven’t met anybody who could top them.”

Hmm.  If they were so great, then why did the relationships end? Ryan blames the business. He shares:

“Showbusiness is the bad guy. When both people are in show business it’s too much showbusiness. It takes all of the light, so nothing else can grow.”

But it seems that Ryan may have finally found the woman who can “top” his two greatest loves. The actor was recently spotted enjoying a fun Disneyland date with Eva Mendes. When asked about their relationship, Ryan admits:

“I’m giving as much to it as a marriage… I’d like to be making babies but I’m not, so I’m making movies. When someone comes along I don’t think I’ll be able to do both and I’m fine with that. I’ll make movies until I make babies. I have no idea when the handover will happen.”

The 30-year-old “The Notebook” star and the 37-year-old “2 Fast 2 Furious” actress acted like kids half their age during their recent jaunt at the recreation park in Anaheim, California. They kissed and held hands, and…

“They were very playful,”

an observer reveals.

“Eva was skipping around like a little girl…She would lean into him and she held his arm the entire time.”

Wait…we know Ryan‘s free and clear since his split from Rachel McAdams four years ago, but isn’t Eva still in a relationship with Jason Sudeikis who she’s been spotted making out with a couple of months ago after she broke up with long-time partner, filmmaker George Augusto, who she’d been with since 2002?

But with the way Eva‘s been acting around Ryan…

“She fed him [churros, cotton candy and corn on the cob].”

a source further adds.

‘There’s always been this strong chemistry between them…this was just a matter of time! It hasn’t been a secret how excited Eva’s been to film with him, and she’s always joked with us about how gorgeous he is.”

So Ryan, Eva….enough with the body language and tell us already!

Thank goodness.

In a video taken by an onlooker, Ryan is seen breaking up a fight—which was going on in the middle of the road and disrupting traffic—in a baseball cap and a tank top (muscles, yum!).

At the end of the clip, the women taking the video start to realize who the gorgeous peacemaker is, and they all start squealing excitedly and try to go near him to get a closer look.

All we can say is, we wouldn’t be surprised if all the women in New York started brawling in public just to see if Ryan will materialize out of nowhere to break it up.

Gosling, who’s worked with Clooney in the drama “Ides of March” didn’t realize George would be that sort of guy…you know, the kind that makes you wet your pants. It’d be better to hear Ryan tell you about it:

“All the girls in my class were auditioning, so I did too,”

Ryan told Hollywood celebrity websites.

Ryan did belong to the last batch of Mouseketeers (bet you didn’t know that) that included Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera, and Keri Russel before the long-running show finally ended its decades-long run.

“Somehow I got on, and then when they hired me, they realized that I couldn’t really dance or sing and I wasn’t talented so they stopped using me on the show!”

He’s kidding us right?

Ryan‘s moved on and gotten quite a number of awards and acting nominations (including one for an Academy Award) for his kudos-worthy and goosebump-inducing performances in the last 10 years for “The Believer,” “Murder by Numbers,” “The Notebook,” “Half Nelson,” “Fracture,” “Lars and The Real Girl,” “All Good Things,” and “Blue Valentine.”

Not bad for a kid who joined showbiz to oggle girls.

Olivia and Ryan met a couple of months ago and seemed to hit it off. It isn’t the first time they’ve been spotted out in public near filming supposedly. But does that mean they are dating?

Wilde and Gosling were spotted walking hand-in-hand and smiling at each other, at an aquarium in Cincinnati. Gosling was in town for the filming of his new movie ‘The Ides of March.’

Rumors of the new couple had started back in January when the two were seen flirting and getting cozy at a Golden Globes after-party.

Ryan Gosling is doing a bunch of promotions for his new film Blue Valentine, where he brought Blake Lively along as a date. While the two were spotted sitting together and having drinks, it’s speculated on a variety of websites that they’re now romantic.

Ryan previously dated Rachel McAdams who he met filming 2004′s The Notebook. While he didn’t enjoy the mass success of The Notebook, he later told the media he was happy the movie introduced him to one of the great loves of his life.

Gosling thought a father of child who’d been murdered would ease his pain with “melted Haagen Dazs ice cream” as a way to cope with the death.

“We had a different idea of how the character should look,” Gosling told The Hollywood Reporter. “I really believed he should be 210 pounds. We didn’t talk very much during the preproduction process, which was the problem,” Gosling said. “It was a huge movie, and there’s so many things to deal with, and he couldn’t deal with the actors individually. I just showed up on set, and I had gotten it wrong. Then I was fat and unemployed.”

Great story, tragic ending… should Ryan have waited before he put on all the weight to make sure it was OK?

Anyway, according to the spies at the party, Charlize and Ryan were grossing everyone out with their very public displays of affection.

“The Oscar-winning looker, who kicked longtime love Stuart Townsend to the curb in January, was spied trading digits with Ryan Gosling after they slow-danced together at a Los Angeles shindig a few days back. The easy-on-the-eyes pair was said to be “super-flirty” and “beyond giddy.”

Awwww. Methinks Charlize is just having fun. Ryan shouldn’t get too excited.

Anywhoo. Spies for radaronline.com told the website that Lauren almost started a bar fight when she told her boyfriend Ryan Gosling hit on her.

“Lauren claims that Ryan Gosling tried to hit on her and she told Kyle, “Who does he think he is? I’m with you. I would never…” At that point we couldn’t stop listening and Kyle said: “I know baby, if I was there I would have set him straight. But sadly, that wasn’t the end of it. Kyle then started chatting with a friend and suddenly there was testosterone in the air, and a lot of it. “Let’s go find Ryan Gosling. Let’s beat him up,” one of them said. And yes, it was funny that they kept calling him “Ryan Gosling” instead of just Ryan.”

Ha ha. An “actor” and aHills “actor” get star-struck, too.

Ryan is believed to be smitten by Portman who has finally came to her sense and broke up with her rocker boyfriend Devendra Banhart last September. Ryan is showering Natalie with romantic gestures in a bid to win her heart. Now that’s something my other half ought to read.

A source told the Chicago Sun Times as reports by Female First:

“Natalie always has been attracted to actors and other men who are intellectuals and Ryan qualifies.
“Along with continual and very poetic text messages, Ryan has been sending Natalie first editions of books he thinks she would like.”
Ryan fell for Natalie after the pair met in Los Angeles nightclub Bardot recently. Natalie is said to be intrigued.

Ryan Gosling, 28 seems like a better candidate than Sean Penn who’s way too old for Natalie plus the fact that he’s married. I love Ryan, besides the fact that he’s Canadian, I loved him in  Notebook. Make sure you have your Kleenex box ready if you were to rent it. It’s sad but beautiful. I am usually into the comedy stuff but this one is a must watch.

Rachel and Ryan – it just sounds too cute to not be true – had a two year relationship that began when they filmed the movie The Notebook together back in 2004.  They split in 2006, even though according to Dailystab, he said Rachel was one of the great loves of his life. 

How romantic….I think.  As long as it’s real and not made up BS for the press.  Do either of them have a project coming out soon or do they need a little PR here?
