Entertainment news has learned that Ryan Seacrest was almost replaced by Executive Producer Nigel Lythgoe this evening after the host found himself to be too sick to attend rehearsals.

The host, who even had an IV in his arm, had reportedly been throwing up for two days but decided that he must go on with the show at the last minute.

However, Nigel told TMZ:

“I’m sending my rehearsal tape to ‘X-Factor.’ I could be the next Steve Jones. Not as handsome but just as good. Literally!”

Looks like he should thank Ryan for his realization of his new dream.

Celebrity news has learned that Pitbull, who has been fighting a legal battle with Lindsay Lohan for including her in his defamatory lyrics, claims in his new documents that if the Ryan Seacrest didn’t sue him for including him in his lyrics of the same song, then the “Mean Girls” star shouldn’t bother suing him either!

For those who have forgotten, Lindsay Lohan sued the rapper late last year for a line from his song “Give Me Everything,” written by Ne-yo and Afrojack, that allegedly “exploited her name for commercial purposes,” even though Pitbull says he only meant to “keep her relevant.” But Seacrest, who was also mentioned in the same song, didn’t seem to react when Pitbull performed it in front of the host at a New Years event last year.

In the rapper’s bid to have the judge and Lohan‘s reps dismiss the case against him, Pitbull also cited the First Amendment which protects the use of trademarks in parodies. So far, the ball is still in the judge’s court.

The hip hop artist’s lyrics rang:

“Hustlers move aside, so I’m tiptoein’, to keep flowin’
I got it locked up like Lindsay Lohan“

Star news had no complaints now that Casper Smart is making an effort to be out and seen by the public with his mega famous girlfriend of five months, Jennifer Lopez, by visiting her at the taping of Fox’s “American Idol” last Wednesday. The 24-year-old backup dancer, who was warmly greeted by Jennifer’s fellow “Idol” judges Randy Jackson and Steven Tyler, was also the butt of Ryan Seacrest’s joke.

The host jested on the mic, focusing on Smart and his two pals that he was chatting with in the audience:

“Which of these three guys is Jennifer‘s boyfriend? Or is it the one who’s shorter than Ryan Seacrest?”

While J.Lo ended up laughing and the audience cheering, Smart looked a tad bit embarrassed. However, it didn’t stop him from getting really close to his girlfriend during taping breaks.

We guess Smart was thinking that he was better off at home, ha!

Not only that, he also gave his mind about Ryan Seacrest‘s security!

Real estate tycoon Donald Trump had a video of him posted in his channel where he gave another one of his unsolicited opinions, this time on Sacha Baron Cohen‘s orchestrated red carpet stunt involving E! host Ryan Seacrest‘s Burberry suit and a whole lot of ashes. He also lashed out on Ryan‘s security for being “uneducated” and that night’s Vanity Fair party for being the “absolute worst party” of the Oscars. He finishes with how he thought the party was “symblematic” of Vanity Fair magazine’s current state in the print industry.

Seems like the bitter Old McDonald—who was also a victim of another one of Cohen‘s pranks in 2003 as his Ali G. character—had an image of what should’ve otherwise been a perfect evening for him and his wife, Melania but went home disappointed. But don’t we all know that it isn’t a Hollywood event without a few slip ups here and there?

Prior to his video, he also took his disapproval of the stunt to his Twitter:

“@SachaBaronCohen is a moron who should have been pummeled by the weak and pathetic security person who stood watching as he poured ashes over @RyanSeacrest, a wonderful guy, at the Academy Award’s red carpet. The security person totally froze–he should be fired.”

On his Burberry suit? No way!

Unlike most of the Oscars guests who opted for elegance, Cohen decided to come as General Aladeen AKA “The Dictator” to promote his new movie–that also starred Megan Fox–with two female “bodyguards” in tow and pranked Seacrest by tipping over all the contents of the gold urn that he brought with him which he jokingly said contained the ashes of North Korean premier Kim Jong Il.

Needless to say, the seemingly orchestrated prank was not well received by the host but it was one of the most talked about events of the Oscars this year. The impudent actor was soon escorted out of the scene leaving a gray mess on Ryan and the red carpet, which were then the center of attention and trending topic online.

“The Dictator” said to the host before ruining his suit:

“I’m wearing John Galliano, but the socks are from K-Mart! As Saddam Hussein once said to me, socks are socks, don’t waste money.”

But being the good sport that he is, Ryan finished his interview saying:

“Now you know this isn’t taped!”

“American Idol” without Ryan Seacrest? Who can imagine the show without the toothy and charming 37-year-old television host? But it seems Ryan‘s steadily escalating paychecks have the network powers-that-be shaking their heads at Ryan‘s astronomical asking fee…

Ryan‘s currently making $15 million a year as the host of “Idol.” Word on the street is, Ryan may have to take a pay cut to renew his contract with E! this year, or the network’s shopping for another host.

“There’s no way Fremantle and CKx will continue to pay Ryan that kind of money when he can be replaced for $2 million to $3 million,”

a source told The Hollywood Reporter.

The question is, will Ryan Seacrest agree to a pay cut, or will he play hardball with the network?

“It’s in Ryan‘s best interest to make them sweat — the company has new people running it and has to play the game.”

The source continued.

Hmmm…looks like an internal battle between Ryan and and the network is in the offing. Care to place your bets on who’ll come out the winner?

Kathy began by making remarks about how making fun of the E!News and American Idol host did wonders for her ticket sales, and openly questioned him about what kind of “smoke and mirrors” game he played to snare hot “Dancing With The Stars” dancer Julianne Hough.

Entertainment news heard Ryan shoot back with a slur of his own about the redhead comedian’s red, red lipstick, whereupon Griffin was on him in a trice and vigorously smudged her lipstick on his mouth in earnest right on prime time television.

“There, I just sold my soul to the devil,”

Kathy declared.

“Your career is over, you realize that?”

Ryan called out to her as she made her way back to the red carpet.

Which just got us wondering….is there some hidden flame smoldering between these two? In secret? Behind Julianne Hough‘s back?

Ryan Seacrest and Julianne Hough will not marry. Although there is potential for marriage as I keep going back and forth, I just can’t see the marriage. I feel they each think about it and hint but I do not see this relationship coming together to be legal in marriage. There is an uproar between them and Ryan will move on. The latest Hollywood gossip found out that Julianne‘s tonsil hockey sessions in the water were all part of the movie she’s starring in with Tom Cruise, “Rock of Ages”, and the cherubic Twilight doppelganger she swapped spit with is no other than co-star, Diego Boneta (Javier on “90210″)

Still, Ryan Seacrest, no matter how many ($45) millions you earn as a TV host, it must hurt pretty bad to see your girl really enjoying herself…if you know what we mean…

Ryan, 35 and Julianne, 22, have also been spending a lot time with his family while vacationing. Yesterday they were spotted checking out art galleries, shopping and strolling hand-in-hand through the streets of Paris together with Seacrest’s parents and his sister Meredith.

Hough has recently gushed about Ryan being “really romantic,” telling Ellen DeGeneres that for her birthday he put “flowers everywhere. I was almost embarrassed.”

It’s funny how Julianne thought Ryan was gay initially. We did too, he’s too well-groomed, too good looking. Well, he’s not gay and he’s a hot catch!

Nah — not so fast, Julianne Hough was just joking when she told a radio show this morning that she and Ryan Seacrest were thinking of having children.

“Didn’t you know? We’re having a baby!” she joked before quickly regretting her joke. “Oh, God,” she added, “now it’s going to be everywhere!”

Indeed! Thanks for the post, Julianne. Oh, and in case you were wondering — Ryan’s got a “little groove” on the dancefloor, but the pair don’t like to go dancing all that often.

TMZ reports, Hough was in town for her birthday dinner the other night with a bunch of friends at a Morton’s steak house. At one point during the meal, she was asked, “How did you and Ryan get together?”

Julianne replied, “He was after me since I was 18 … he totally wasn’t my type … I thought he was gay.” Hough continued, “After a few years, he was persistent … so I went out with him on a date and I realized how much I liked him.”

Oh, we thought Ryan was gay too. Too handsome, too clean out and too few women rumors. We have to say he’s a catch and Julianne and Ryan look terrific together, don’t they?

Ryan seems to have a string of women. Somehow, he and Julianne got serious recently…

On June 13, the couple walked on the beach in Malibu with their arms around each other. Three days later, they dined at intimate new L.A. hotspot Red O restaurant, where a diner says Seacrest, 35, “was very attentive.” And Sunday, Hough, 21, accompanied the American Idol host on another outing in Malibu, where the two shopped at Alice + Olivia.

Well, there are bigger age gaps in Hollywood, but Julianne is young! Being just 21, she hasn’t experienced life like Ryan has. Do you think he is taking advantage of Julianne?

Regardless, the two were spotted out and about this past weekend, but reps for both refuse to confirm or deny the affair. Seacrest took her to dinner last month, but Julianne swore up and down it was just for business.

I was curious about this Seacrest character and did a quick little google search about his dating history. He has “romanced” Australian model, Sophie Monk, Teri Hatcher and some other blonde bimbo-looking chick I couldn’t ID.

Julianne seems like his physical type, but who knows. The man seems more interested in his career then anything else.

As I’ve already noted in mind-numbing detail in today’s American Idol on-the-scene recap, Ryan Seacrest’s behavior was all kinds of bizarre, both on- and off-camera last night. Well, after the show, I got a chance (along with a few other journalists) to ask some of the Idol contestants about Seacrest’s antics.

Leave it to young Katie Stevens, meanwhile, to sleuth out that sleep deprivation was to blame for Ryan’s tomfoolery. ”I asked him, after dress rehearsal, ‘Ryan, what is up with you?’” said Stevens. “And he goes, ‘You know, I’m really, really tired right now, so I’m trying to fool myself into thinking that I’m awake.’ [He was] over-caffeinated.”

Didn’t Katie get voted off last night’s show too? Maybe she sleuthed a bit too much. Do you think Ryan will respond to these comments about his behavior? He was a bit kooky at the Grammy’s, but this takes the cake!
