Sanjaya Malakar’s mom popped for growing pot.. lots of it too!

Sanjaya Malakar’s mom was arrested for growing lots of marijuana plants. Holy Smoke!

(( Maybe that’s why Sanjaya’s always got that goofy grin on his face! Turns out that Sanjy’s mom, Jillian Blith, used to be a pot-growing potentate — and that his sister Shyamali was no stranger to the art of toking herself.

The Momjaya was pinched by the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department in February 2005 in Pierce County, Wash. after they found 310 marijuana plants — and the Sis-jaya keeping watch with a bag of weed and “smoking devices” — in the Malakar family garage, as the National Enquirer first smoked out today.

But — buzzkill — Shyamali, who was arrested for possession, directed the cops to another green-growing facility nearby, where they arrested Blith and her husband, Charles Quist (Sanjaya’s stepdad).

Blith could’ve gone to jail for up to five years after pleading guilty to one felony count of unlawful manufacturing of a controlled substance, but got off with a relatively mellow 30-day sentence. ))

Sanjaya Malakar is as famous as Antonella Barba. Barba is famous for her racy photos & Sanjaya Malakar is famous for his hairdo. Despite Sanjaya sucks in singing and was voted off American Idol last week. Sanjaya is everywhere. He was at The Tonight Show with Jay Leno earlier last week. On Saturday, Sanjaya goes to Washington D.C.. He was one of the guests at the People Magazine table at White House Correspondents’ Association dinner. No word yet as if he got to meet President, George Bush.

Sanjaya Malakar, American Idol contestant has won another award for being incredibly awesome! We’re not sure if he’s going to want this award, but he is Maxim’s Girl of the Day.

As for his singing, Sanjaya Malakar did terrible on American Idol last night.

((Oh, Sanjaya, you were never meant for country music…

Sanjaya Malakar said he hoped to do Bonnie Raitt justice on Tuesday’s “American Idol.” He did her an injustice with a performance of “Something to Talk About” that was tepid, tentative and terrible. Sanjaya was the worst of the night — let’s hear nothing about his star power. No star power can make up for such deficient singing.

Simon Cowell described the rendition as “utterly horrendous.” He wasn’t wrong.

And Cowell said Sanjaya’s performance was as bad as anything they’d seen during the auditions. Yikes.))
