Shauna had a sex tape leaked with her boyfriend or her husband. She was going to fight it until they pulled out a contract. This is what she says in a letter to Carrie via TMZ:

Shauna Sand said OK to her sex tape being released. Shauna had signed an agreement that authorized the sex tape release before this whole hoopla began! Imagine that…Shauna was creating publicity around the tape, probably to increase the sales.

Shauna and her boyfriend created the tape some time ago it seems, and agreed to release it via a third party. Why pretend you aren’t OK with it then? From Popeater:

Vivid Entertainment definitely plans to release Shauna Sand’s sex tape. Shauna and her French boyfriend are taped doing a series of provocative things in a feature film that probably won’t have the legs of “One Night In Paris” or Kim Kardashian’s debut, just because the whole things seems so staged.
