Brittany Murphy’s husband is devastated. Simon Monjack was sleeping when he heard his mother in law scream for him to get up and call 911 when she found Brittany unconscious on the floor. Simon and his mother in law tried frantically to revive Brittany while the paramedics were in route.

Since her death, Simon has released a statement via the New York Daily News:
Brittany Murphy’s husband, Simon Monjack does not want an autopsy. Simon told hospital staff at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center he did not want an autopsy performed on his deceased wife, multiple sources tell TMZ.

Why doesn’t he want an autopsy? TMZ has also been told that despite going against Monjack’s wishes, the L.A. Coroner’s office will perform an autopsy on Brittany.
Brittany Murphy died today of a heart attack at the age of 32. Murphy went into full cardiac arrest and despite mulitple attempts, could not be revived.

Devon Gale of the Los Angeles Fire Dept said emergency services were called to the house of which she shared with her husband, screenwriter Simon Monjack at 8 a.m. this morning.
As reports by TMZ that Brittany was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where she was pronounced dead on arrival. Her time of death was listed as 10:04 AM.
Brittany Murphy was on the road to the top….just a few short years ago. She had a bunch of promising movies coming out, received some acclaim and then….she married the wrong person…
Her kookiness caught up with her last week. Brittany had signed a huge deal with Walt Disney to be the voice of Tinkerbell in their animated cartoons, commercials and vacation promotions. That’s a BIG deal! Suddenly Disney made the announcement that Brittany Murphy would no longer be the voice for Tinkerbell. Instead, Mae Whitman, who is also an actress, will take over the speaking role. No comment from either rep as to why.
