Monk announced the engagement this morning on 2Day FM breakfast radio, where she is co-hosting with Kyle Sandilands while regular presenter Jackie O is on maternity leave till the end of this week.

What’s Hollywood going to say about her dating a plastic surgeon, you know stories fly.. and most of them you don’t want to believe in.

On bumping into her ex- fiance, Benji:

“I saw him the other day actually but he wasn’t as warm [or] welcoming [as] I was. I gave him a hug, but no arms came out, it was the worst! It was so embarrassing,” Monk told 2Day Fm’s Kyle & Jackie O in her native Australia last week. “I went out of my way to go to his table at dinner and everyone was looking at me so I was like, ‘Okie dokie, I’ll just back out.’ Then I had a couple of glasses of wine so I went back and did it again, I thought, ‘Oh hell, I don’t care, I’m bigger than this. I’ve got no issue with him.’ It didn’t work again so next time, I might not do that. I can’t do that though I’ll always say hello.”

On dating her new beau, a plastic surgeon:

“He’s a doctor. A plastic surgeon doctor. I was like, I’ve only known him for six days and everyone’s going to pick me apart now even though I’ve had nothing done,” Monk added. “It’ll be like, ‘Oh he did this and that.’ My mum’s going to hit him up though, she’s like ‘What can he do for me?’” via Fox News

We recently reported that Russell Simmons, the Hip Hop mogul was seen leaving Skybar together with Sophie this week. It’s not shocking – They are both unattached and Sophie is gorgeous so perhaps something comes out of it. As of now we don’t know if anything more concrete cooks out of that deal but we’ll keep you posted.

Don’t give up yet, It’s still August. Summer isn’t officially over so get yourself in shape. I am talking out loud for my own sake.

Sophie was offered $1 million to pose for Playboy a while back, back when she was good with the Good Charlotte rocker.  He absolutely didn’t want other guys hosing at his girlfriend, so she denied the request and moved on.  But now, she is free from the Madden grasp and is re-considering the offer.  A million bucks is a lot of money for a few scantily clad photos!  Monk’s rep didn’t deny the report either, says Celebitchy.
