The highly anticipated American Idol season 10 kicked off Wednesday night with the two new judges joining Randy Jackson. Steven Tyler, 62, the frontman of Aerosmith and Jennifer Lopez.
I would say they were “NICE.” We expected that from J. Lo as she has said in interviews gearing up to the auditions that she’s more leaning toward compassion saying she’s not in the business of crushing spirits. Tyler has said he wanted to encourage contestants to give it their all.
The American Idol judges looked…awkward. Fox tried desperately to genereate some interest in the aging show and it appears they…tried? When the judges were all revealed and standing together, it looked like comedy.

I hope they all have short contracts. I don’t know who had more frizzzy styled hair, Jennifer Lopez or Steven Tyler. Then there’s the awful pantsuit again. Why?

Will J Lo & Tyler fill the roles replacing Simon Cowell, Ellen DeGeneres and Kara DioGuardi at the judges’ table in the Idol’s 10th season? To me, Idol has always been Paula Abdul, Simon Cowell and Randy Jackson.. those were my favorite judges..
Steven Tyler, Aerosmith’s frontman will be a judge in “American Idol”! His bandmate, Aerosmith bassist Tom Hamilton has confirmed during an interview with The Star Ledger that the rumors being true; Tyler will indeed be a judge in the next season of “American Idol.”

We reported last night that DeGeneres has announced her departure from American Idol; just now we posted that DioGuardi has apparently been fired from Idol.
Steven Tyler Checks in to Rehab
Steven Tyler checks in to rehab. Remember just a few weeks ago Steven’s Aerosmith band mates were saying something was up with Steven? They were right! Steven checked himself in to a treatment center for an addiction to painkillers.
