And how can Madonna not be pissed? She goes and pulls out all the stops and gives a dazzling halftime show (with over-the-top costumes and special effects), and M.I.A. still manages to upstage her… with a simple flick of her middle finger.

This morning, Madonna called in to “On Air with Ryan Seacrest“ and revealed her exact thoughts about M.I.A.’s bird-flipping stunt:

“I was really surprised. I didn’t know anything about it. I wasn’t happy about it.”

Madge continued:

“I understand it’s punk rock and everything, but to me there was such a feeling of love and good energy, and positivity, it seemed negative.”

She added:

“It’s such a teenager … irrelevant thing to do … there was such a feeling of love and unity there. What was the point? It was just out of place.”

Some people seem to think so after the terrible play delivered by Brady‘s receivers on Super Bowl Sunday. As per his record, Brady previously brought the Patriots to the Super Bowl an amazing five times during his 10-year career, and of those five times, he helped the team win three championships. All of Tom Brady’s wins, however, came to a screeching halt when he started dating supermodel Gisele Bundchen in 2007…

The Patriots have failed to win a Super Bowl since the Brazilian model came into Tom Brady‘s life. They’ve made it to the Super Bowl twice since the relationship started, but have failed to take home a win. This drought has led some to believe that Brady’s and Bundchen’s relationship is cursed.

Or perhaps the Patriots just want to find a reason…any reason…to hate Gisele after her disparaging comments slamming her husband’s teammates after the game Sunday:

“My husband can’t f***ing throw and catch the ball at the same time. I can’t believe they dropped the ball so many times.”

The supermodel was quoted as cursing.

Ouch.

One of the players’ wives even went as far as to say:

“Gisele has very few friends among the wives. Of course, many are jealous of her looks and all that, but she doesn’t make it easy to like her, since she obviously feels so superior to all of us.”

And after Gisele sent out that prayer petition, too…

Do not mess with her hubby, people. Gisele is obviously a super-supportive wife…

…as evidenced by the famous email (which we thought was really sweet of her to do) she sent out to her friends and family asking them to pray for Brady and the New England Patriots.

After the game, Gisele went to comfort Tom by giving him a hug… and by defending him—while blaming some of his teammates in the process. Gisele snapped:

“You (have) to catch the ball when you’re supposed to catch the ball.”

Gisele added:

“My husband cannot f***in throw the ball and catch the ball at the same time. I can’t believe they dropped the ball so many times.”

Maybe we still can’t forget that dynamic 2004 Super Bowl performance where Justin Timberlake and Janet Jackson imprinted that wardrobe malfunction into our retinas forever. But who can discount the time when The Rolling Stones dominated halftime in 2006, Bruce Springsteen in 2009, and last year with Usher and the Black Eyed Peas?

Okay, so Madge did turn on the spectacular special effects with a glaring display of lights, and garnished her performance with a cast of nearly a hundred dancers, stuntmen, and other extras. It didn’t detract from the fact that she moved as slow as molasses in January. Even her dancers seemed more upbeat. Madge moving kind of reminded us of her striking a pose  in her “Vogue” music video, which happened to be her first number, by the way.

She was carried in by a troupe of gold-leaf adorned gladiators while she perched on an Egyptian throne, nearly lost her balance on a platform with her dancers, and was neatly upstaged by M.I.A. who gave tens of millions of viewers the wrong upraised finger while performing with Madonna and Nicki Minaj in “Give Me All Your Luvin’.”

Has Madonna lost her touch? She can hardly be counted to be controversial anymore.

Even Cee Lo Green dressed more magnificently than Madge did with his black and glittering sequined pastor’s robe when he joined Madonna‘s gospel choir for “Like A Prayer.”

But the finale when Madge suddenly disappeared below in a puff of smoke, and in absentia sang the last few notes,

“…and it feels like home…”

really gave us goosebumps. Is this a portent of what’s to come?

Maybe the Material Girl hasn’t totally lost her touch completely, but whatever it is she has now, we’re guessing this year’s Super Bowl set the sunset stage for Madonna Louise Ciccone…

Which is more than we can say about the more famous and veteran celebrity performers who’ve given their own twist to the Star Spangled Banner…intentionally or not…forgetting the lyrics, flubbing the lines, or rendering the national anthem as a heavy metal number…

The first ever “American Idol” champ did admit she was nervous before her performance in front of millions of people, resulting in a frenzy of practicing that would do any voice coach proud.

“Just finished rehearsing the anthem in Indy…wow, I’m actually really nervous about singing at the Super Bowl ha! Here’s hoping I nail it and don’t screw it up!”

Clarkson tweeted on Friday.

“Literally left my wardrobe at the hotel in Louisiana and my tour manager had to run back and get it. Now we’re on the plane headed for the Super Bowl but that was a close one! I’m not sure if I could have pulled off spanx and heels while singing the anthem :)”

Looks like her case of nerves and her faithful rehearsals did pay off, because Kelly Clarkson gave a stunning performance worthy of a champion.

No wonder her her single “Stronger” got to number two on the Billboard singles chart, and she just set the chart record as the “Idol” alum with the most top 10 hits ever!

The outrageously outfitted rapper and her bubblegum pink hair graced the cover of Wonderland Magazine’s February/March issue where a list of her concert and show rider demands has been featured. Ever wonder how Nicki keeps her petite frame in its current voluptuous state? Read her rider and find out…

Twelve bottles of Martinelli’s Apple Juice doesn’t sound so over the top, but Nicki specifies for six bottles to be iced and six bottles to be at room temperature. Also, lots of spicy chicken wings in 12-piece buckets, with absolutely, absolutely…”no thighs.”

Nicki, who’ll be joining Madonna in her performance during the halftime show on Sunday’s Super Bowl, also demands for lots of dried cranberries, raw almonds, and 24 bottles of Dasani Water, 12 room temperature, 12 on ice.

Which makes us wonder whether the equal parts icy and equal parts room temperature is a formula she uses to keep her rounded behind as shapely as possible.

Still, the Trinidadian-born performer does include healthy choices for breakfast, like egg whites (scrambled hard) and turkey bacon (fried hard), white toast with grape and strawberry jelly or jam, Belgian waffles with syrup, powdered sugar, whipped cream, butter and strawberries…all in one go.

For random snacking, she also requires Snapple, Red Bull, assorted fruit juices, Simply Lemonade, a fruit platter, cheese platter, deli tray, three packs of gum, salad with tomatoes, cucumbers, green olives, Wishbone Light Italian dressing, Bumble Bee tuna in water, and wheat or low fat crackers.

So you can just imagine Nicki‘s Super Bowl dressing room looking like a well-stocked pantry come game day. Granted she doesn’t request bowls of specific flower arrangements, six dozen white towels, fur-lined sofas or animal-hide rugs, but hey…this is a girl who loves her food.

Wonder if she’ll allow us to partake of any of that bounty…

In this case, it’s the world’s richest supermodel asking the public to storm the heavens with prayers for her football star hubby…

“My sweet friends and family,”

Gisele‘s sappy, syrupy public email reads.

“This sunday will be a really important day in my husband’s life. He and his team worked so hard to get to this point and now they need us more than ever to send them positive energy so they can fulfill their dream of winning this super bowl. [...] I feel Tommy really needs our prayer, our support and love at this time. “

And at this point, Gisele gets on her figurative “Tebow” knee to ask everyone to join her in Divine supplication.

“So I kindly ask all of you to join me on this positive chain and pray for him, so he can feel confident, healthy and strong. Envision him happy and fulfilled experiencing with his team a victory this sunday.”

If there’s anyone who knows how to work an audience like she works the catwalk, it’s Gisele Bundchen. And now that she’s seen how big a trend “Tebowing” promises to be…she’s latched on to the idea and given it her own special touch.

Trust the world’s highest-paid mannequin to be an expert at marketing something…and if that “something” happens to be her husband, then Tom Brady is all the more lucky for it.

Only, asking for positive thoughts to help Brady be healthy, confident, and strong is like Warren Buffett‘s wife asking friends to pray for his wealth. Overkill, don’t you think?

So, “sweet friends and family”…let’s see how much Gisele‘s influence over her husband’s Almighty-guided success results in, shall we?

Talking to BBC Radio 1 DJ Scott Mills on Thursday, Kutcher said he got a rude reaction from the former President.

“I don’t think he’s very happy with me,” he said. “He just was not very nice to me. He just kind of snubbed me a little bit.”

But why the cold shoulder?

“I think I said some mean things [about Bush] during the election. I feel like he probably doesn’t like me very much.”

Christina or her people sent out a statement to do some damage control. It actually might work too, because it sounds sincere and real.

Aguilera has addressed her performance in a statement to the Associated Press. “I got so caught up in the moment of the song that I lost my place. I can only hope that everyone could feel my love for this country and that the true spirit of its anthem still came through,” she said.

Who wouldn’t be nervous singing that song in that setting? Billions of people watching…any pro could screw it up. Give the girl kudos because she was doing it live and not lip syncing! Christina is not the first person to miss words…Roseanne Barr slaughtered a version once…other people have forgotten words too, just not at that sitting.

Instead of singing “O’er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming?” in the fourth line; She repeated the second line with a slight variation. From “What so proudly we hailed at the twilight’s last gleaming?”, she changed into “What so proudly we watched at the twilight’s last gleaming?”. Oops!

The messed up caused a lot of viewers to take to Twitter to vent immediately.

Aguilera said after the performance,“I can only hope that everyone could feel my love for this country and that the true spirit of its anthem still came through.”

The song is so difficult to sing and performing in front of so many viewers could be a lot of pressure even for an ultra- experienced performer like Xtina. So give her a break!

Fergie has been with her band, practicing down in Dallas for a few days. There isn’t word yet on what the group will sing.

Slash, of fame from Guns ‘N roses, and Usher will be joining the Black Eyed Peas for Super Bowl XLV’s halftime show.

In fact, it makes me think that the halftime show will be less on the entertaining side and more on the, “Well, what the bleep was that?” side. Of course – to the NFL, that’s what they’d be looking for – something to actually have people talking about it beyond Monday and Tuesday.

The most annoying part of it all, though, is that the chances of a fifty song medley have greatly increased as a result. OK, maybe not 50, but we’ll probably hear parts of at least five or six songs in a span of 13 minutes.

Are you a fan of the medley’s? It seems that the NFL might be trying to please too many people and getting a funky range of acts together. Should they go back to the days of one act where the actually sing a whole song? Whatever…Fergie will probably rock the house in an awesome outfit, no mater what they sing!

Ben Roethlisberger is paying extra special attention to his diet this week — because when he was pounding drinks at a Texas bar Tuesday night … he wanted his rum mixed with DIET COKE.

TMZ has obtained FOOTAGE of the Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback hanging out at Pete’s Dueling Piano Bar in Fort Worth Texas … where he sang his face off from 11:00 PM until 1:15 AM the next morning.

Sources inside the bar tell us Big Ben arrived with two massive teammates — and bought several rounds of drinks for himself AND the entire bar.

Well, since he bought drinks for everybody, does that make it OK? I bet the coaches and the Steelers owner might be a little upset if they catch wind of this footage. Do you think Ben and those teammates will get scolded or are they good enough the coaches won’t care?

As reports by the Daily Mail, Kim dived in for a kiss on the pitch right after the match which saw the New Orleans Saints beating the Indianapolis Colts at the Sun Life Stadium in Miami. It’s always the winner takes it all, too bad we can’t cite the same excited feeling for Kendra Wilkinson whose hubby Hank Baskett plays for the Colts.

Kim and Reggie shared a romantic smooch before the Saints running back was whisked off to join the rest of his team mates.
A lot of A-list celebrities were among the 76,500 crowd in the Florida stadium including Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie along with their son, Maddox.

She and her son — Hank IV — flew into Miami for the festivities. However, Kendra is the first to admit that a lot has changed since her last Superbowl (via usmagazine.com):

“I don’t know what to say now,” Wilkinson said during her Friday night hosting gig at the Hard Rock Hotel’s Super Bunny bash in Seminole, Fla. “I used to be like ‘Yeah, let’s get crunk in the club and drink the Patron’ but I can’t do that anymore. I’m a mom now! I’ll be on the microphone and I don’t know what to say now. ‘Baby’s at home with grandma?’” she joked.

But the baby has slowed her sex drive:

“When the Colts win, there’s gonna be a parade in Indianapolis.We’re gonna hit up the parade…and then have a lot of sex!”
