After just a few weeks of separation, the couple has decided to give their marriage another try.

Yep, Tea and David have reconciled—again. The couple has already separated twice (and reconciled twice) during the 12-13 years that they’ve been married. According to RadarOnline.com, Tea and David were spotted driving around together in Malibu on Sunday.

The ‘Californication’ star and his wife Tea tied the knot in 1997, and then separated in 2008, after David announced that he was going to enter rehab for sex addiction. That same year the couple reconciled.

Tea and David announced their second separation on June 29, but it appears they’ve now resolved their issues and are both still willing to save their marriage.

Why can’t Hollywood couples be more like this? Nowadays when celebrity couples get into a bit of a rough patch, they immediately run off to file divorce.

Isn’t it refreshing to see a Hollywood couple that is actually fighting to save their marriage?

Duchovny and Leoni split briefly when he was busted to have cheated on her back in 2008. David checked himself into rehab for sex addiction but shockingly, the couple was able to ride it out and got back together despite their brief separation at the time.

The couple has 2 children together; a 12-year-old daughter and a 9-year-old son. Let’s hope it works out best for everyone especially the kids.

The couple were on the rocks when it was announced that David had a sex addiction. There were also rumors that Tea had stepped out with Billy Bob Thornton a few times, causing even more rift in a tense marriage.  But now they seemed to have solved their problems.  From Star Magazine:

The romantic scene would have been inconceivable last October, when the pair (they have two children, daughter West, 9, and son Miller, 6) announced they were separating, due in part to David’s admitted sex addiction.

David, who plays a sex-crazed writer on his critically acclaimed Showtime series, Californication, announced in August, “I have voluntarily entered a facility for the treatment of sex addiction. I ask for respect and privacy for my wife and children as we deal with this situation as a family.”

We wish them the best of luck as their reconciliation seems to be working.  It’s nice to see that David and Tea can move on and try to work things out – not only for their sakes but for those of their children!  Good luck!

Duchovny released a statement late Thursday asking for privacy for his family.  His family includes actress Tea Leoni, whom he has been married to since 2007.  They have two children together. 

So, my question is – can he still star in the show Californication after he leaves rehab?  Seems like it would be kinda…bad for him.  This instance of life imitating art is too sad…especially since there is children involved. 

What does a sex addiction entail anyway?  Internet?  Mistresses?  Magazines?  Someone explain!
