Tyra Banks announced today that Random House has accepted a three-book series for line of fantasy books titled “Modelland.” Apparently, Tyra has created a series of young adult book chronicling the lives of a group of models-in-training with superpowers. It’s rumored to be a kind of Harry Potter meets America’s Next Top Model kind of a series.

Tyra Banks is ending her talk show, The Tyra Show. Tyra Banks is saying goodbye in Spring 2010 to her onscreen breast exams, features of women with two vaginas (remember that!), and slew of other entertaining folk so that she can focus on other projects. Tyra Banks is founder of Bankable Productions, and according to her website, she’d like to continue empowering women on the big screen.
