The single and sexy Jennifer Love Hewitt is dying to become a Victoria’s Secret Angel, and she’s hoping to have a chance to grace one of the VS catalogues like lingerie-clad supermodels Miranda Kerr, Alessandra Ambrosio and Lily Aldridge.

After chatting about her boob-reduction incident for her new sexy series, “The Client,” she admits to Wendy Williams on “The Wendy Williams Show”:

“I want to be a Victoria’s Secret Angel so bad — just for the day.”

In fact, she seems to think that she’s ready for it, as she explained:

“I want to wear the wings! I already wear lingerie for a living now, so I’m working out and I’m ready. And I just want to be on the cover of the catalog. I think it would be nice of them.”

She may be pretty and sexy, but has she reached Victoria’s Secret grade? We all know VS has very strict criteria for hopeful angels.

Unfortunately, they were wearing cover-ups… but we can probably all agree that Miranda and Candice are undeniably hot and gorgeous even when they’re not just clad in skimpy bikinis!

Victoria’s Secret Angels Miranda Kerr and Candice Swanepoel joined forces on Thursday to launch the new Victoria’s Secret 2012 SWIM Collection at the Thompson Hotel in Beverly Hills.

Clad in white crochet dresses and colorful bikinis, the supermodels hammed it up for the cameras on top of a glass-covered pool, with pink and white lounge chairs in the background.

Which doesn’t really make sense, because most of the incredibly stunning Victoria’s Secret Angels are beyond obvious.

So how is Kate, who recently graced the cover of the latest Sport’s Illustrated Swimsuit issue, not worthy of being a VS Angel?

Well, according to Neophitou, Kate can never be an Angel because:

“She’s like a Page 3 girl [referring to the scantily-clad women on page 3 of the British newspaper, The Sun]… she’s like a footballer’s wife, with the too-blond hair and that kind of face that anyone with enough money can go out and buy.”

Ouch. Sounds like a nice, roundabout way of saying that Kate looks slightly trashy… and too surgically enhanced.

Kate responded by telling Access Hollywood:

“I’m doing fine in my career, I don’t need to walk down their runway so it’s all good. She can think that and I can think whatever I want about her.”

She added:

“Gisele‘s [Gisele Bundchen] a football player’s wife. Gisele‘s in that category so I’m good.”

Ouch.  If 19-year-old Kate has plans to wear those angel’s wings, she can just forget them right this minute. She doesn’t make Victoria’s Secret grade just about yet…

“‘We would never use Ms. Upton for a Victoria’s Secret show,”

Sophia Neophitou, VS casting director and editor of 10 Magazine told the New York Times…

“She’s like a Page 3 girl,”

Nephitou continued, referring to the British newspaper, The Sun’s spread of scantily clad women.

“She’s like a footballer’s wife, with the too-blond hair and that kind of face that anyone with enough money can go out and buy.”

Double ouch.

Is Nephitou just sour-graping a little bit too much, seeing that Kate Upton, 5’11″, wholesomely proportioned at 36-25-34, already has a strong social media following (170,000 on Twitter, 3 million on YouTube) after having posted a video of herself at a Los Angeles Clippers game doing the Dougie, a dance popularized in a hip-hop tune by Cali Swag District.

She’s also highly sought out for editorial sittings with people like Carine Roitfeld, the French fashion eminence known for her prophetic eye, and by Katie Grand, the influential stylist and editor of the fashion-forward British magazine Love. In fact, she’s in the World’s Top 99 Women list compiled by AskMen.com.

She’s the hottest young face in the industry right now…and currently with a body that covers this year’s Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, too.

The 30-year-old Brazilian model has a three-year-old daughter, Anja Louise Ambrosio Mazur by her fiance, and with her second pregnancy, celebrity gossip websites are rejoicing that Alessandra is set to bring another beautiful face into the world five months from now…

Yes, she’s four months along, though it didn’t show all that much during last month’s Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. Alessandra reportedly surprised Mazur on his birthday in September with the news she was expecting their second child.

“Family is the most important thing for me and I’m thrilled to be adding to the family. I’m fortunate to have a loving and supportive family. It’s a blessing that it will soon be growing,”

Alessandra, one of the world’s highest paid models, told US Weekly.

And we’re all placing our bets on how fast she bounces back from her second pregnancy to dominate the catwalks once again…

“Lord of The Rings” star Bloom gave a standing ovation as Miranda Kerr, his wife and the mother of his ten-month-old-son, walked the runway in a $2.5 million dollar diamond and pearl-encrusted brassiere and peacock-shaped ensemble on her back, stunning celebrity gossip websites and everyone else with how fast her body bounced back after the birth of her child…

And Levine, who performed at the event, actually walked his girlfriend, Victoria’s Secret angel, Anne Vyalitsyna, down the runway, she in her glamorous under-the-sea themed underwear, and he in his signature A-shirt, all the while boasting about his “Moves Like Jagger.” He even surprised her with a kiss…a very tame one given how much PDA they’ve been displaying in public lately.

How far from the usual and how star-studded these Victoria’s Secret fashion shows have come from it’s first extraordinarily tame presentation in 1995 to this year’s extravaganza, which featured performers like Kanye West, Jay-Z and Nicki Minaj (who couldn’t help herself but walk the runway in her outrageous hair, too).

Would the late Victoria’s Secret founder Roy Raymond have envisioned his company to have come this far?

Well, okay…those photos aren’t exactly ugly by our standards, but seeing as how adolescence is fraught with crazy hormones and insecurity, the “Transformers 3″ star may very well have felt she was scraping the bottom of the looks barrel…

“I was a bit of an Ugly Betty when I was 15,”

the svelte model with the enviably silicone-free, bee-stung lips admits.

She also had braces and baby fat, so when she took an internship at a modeling agency in London, she was relegated to odd jobs like…

“getting coffee, lighting people’s cigarettes.”

Rosie remembers turning up at castings dressed…

“in trainers, with braids, a ton of makeup, plucked eyebrows.”

But the baby fat didn’t last, and neither did the braces. At the age of 18, Rosie moved to New York where she scored a coveted contract with Victoria’s Secret, wearing those mythical wings on the catwalk for the lingerie shows.

“It’s still such a huge thing for a model.”

Rosie reminisces.

“People kind of laugh about it and think it’s irrelevant, but I don’t know a girl in the world who would put those wings on and not feel, just for a split second, very special.”

And that includes us.

However, unlike Rosie, while we don’t really consider ourselves Ugly Bettys, we’re a far cry from ever becoming Victoria’s Secret angels except in our dreams…

While Adriana normally works out once a day, once a show approaches, preparations to look her best begin nearly a month in advanced…

And no, she doesn’t starve herself. Victoria’s Secret is all about curves, but that isn’t to say the models can get away with just about anything. Adriana herself ups her workouts to two times a day at the very least…

“It is really intense, it’s not really the amount of time you spend working out, it’s the intensity,”

the 30-year-old mother of one tells celebrity news.

“I jump rope, I do boxing, I lift weights, but I get bored doing that. If I am not moving I get bored very easily.”

Apart from her workouts, the Brazilian model starts a special diet nine days before the show itself. A nutritionist measures her body’s muscle mass, fat ratio and levels of water retention. Adriana only takes the prescribed protein shakes (including powdered egg), vitamins and supplements to keep her energy levels up during this training period of nine days…no solids whatsoever. She’ll drink a gallon of water everyday, as well.

“Two days before the show she will abstain from the gallon of water a day, and “just drink normally”. Then, 12 hours before the show she will stop drinking entirely.”

The nutritionist says.

“Any model in this world would love to be an Angel,”

Adriana insists, saying it’s all worth the effort.

“The Victoria’s Secret show is the highlight of my life. Becoming an Angel, once I achieved that, it was a dream come true for me.”

Miranda’s chest has never looked better—not only is she still sporting the extra breast bulk from her recent pregnancy, but now they’re housed in a luxurious, gem-encrusted million dollar bra.

The Australian model will be walking the runway at the 2011 Victoria’s Secret fashion show in November in the Fantasy Treasure Bra, which is inspired by “the movement, rich colors and treasures of the sea.” It is decorated with 71 carats worth of diamonds, as well as pearls, aquamarines, citrines and a number of other precious stones.

Miranda told celebrity news:

“It’s such an honor to wear the bra. And it’s such a piece of artwork! It’s absolutely stunning — it kind of feels a little mermaid-like — but I can’t believe I’m wearing $2.5 million on my chest.”

We can’t wait to see Miranda walk the runway in this gorgeous bra! She’s going to look amazing!

No, not David Bowie‘s Iman (that Somali-born ageless icon) because those two have been married nigh on 20 years. We’re talking about American model Iman Chanel, 20, who hasn’t a drop of Somali blood in her veins.

It looks as though Kanye is trading up on his models…they’re getting younger and more mainstream…

Hollywood celebrity websites saw Kanye, 34, cuddling with his Iman at a Paris Fashion Week after-party after she strutted the catwalk for Givenchy. That’s quite a far cry from Kanye‘s ex Amber Rose, who, while she has modeled for Louis Vuitton, has relied on her primary staple of glamor modeling, more often than not, naked.

Iman Chanel has been modeling since she was 13, and is better known as one of Victoria’s Secret angels. Yes, she does lingerie, but she’s never been as naked as Amber Rose in some of her more modest days.

Is Kanye been upgrading his taste in women as he gets older? No one can tell, really. He’s a good 14 years older than Iman Chanel, so we wonder if he’s been playing the moral ascendancy card to get into her pants. Really tight pants, by the way.

Hollywood gossip websites and everyone with eyes in their head, it seems, couldn’t take their eyes off the 24-year-old English model as she seductively wiggled out of (or at least almost) a camel-hued trench coat, under which, not surprisingly, she was naked.

Talk about turning up the heat. Whoever tried to bully her out of her modeling career because they thought she was fat is out of their minds. Now everyone who’s ever had a touch of exhibitionism in them will be flocking to stores to get a load of some of that Burberry Body.

Let’s just hope they don’t go around naked in a trench coat and flash everyone, as well. We’ll leave that in capable Rosie‘s hands…

Ironically, it’s her baby fat that has earned her top-notch modeling contracts with Victoria’s Secret (that prefers a little boob on their ladies) and offers like the one she got last year to replace Megan Fox on ‘Transformers.’ Who, as hollywood rumors say, offended director Michael Bay too often.

“When I started modeling, I was definitely heavier. I was quite voluptuous in fact. I had a real baby face and baby fat. But I was a baby! I was told I had to get into better shape, but I’m quite stubborn so I didn’t. I can’t remember a time where I really battled with my body, but I can remember being asked to lose weight and battling with the advice. It hurt me. Especially as my baby fat naturally melted away as I got older.”

But of course – it just “naturally melted away” to reveal the super human swan we see today. Well, alls well that ends well, right?

Aldridge, the 25-year old Victoria’s Secret model walked her first VC Fashion Show back in 2009; and a year later in 2010, Lily became an Victoria’s Secret Angel and walked her second Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show; by then the gorgeous model was given wings!

Sorry gents, Aldridge is taken! She’s engaged to Celeb Followill, the Kings of Leon’s frontman.
