Jen dealt with her heartache by signing on for the romantic comedy, which ironically had a script that hit a little too close to home—although in less painful and publicly humiliating ways. The actress admitted:

“It was a beautiful human story about a couple breaking up…You know, I was slightly familiar on the topic and the issue.”

Jen added that doing the movie, which co-starred then-boyfriend Vince Vaughn, helped her recover from her own breakup with Brad:

“I honestly felt like, what a great way to sort of exorcise some of that.”

The producers of ‘The Break Up’ were reportedly hesitant about asking Jen to star in the film—obviously. However, the then-recently divorced actress revealed:

“I was like, why not? Turn the page, let’s move on.”

She added:

“I enjoyed it! You’d think otherwise.”

Was it the movie that helped set her on the road to recovery, or was it Vince’s dry wit and charm?

Making Hollywood gossip news, Vaughn and Canadian realtor, Kyla Weber married on January 2, 2010, in a small ceremony at the Great Hall of the historic Armour House at Lake Forest Academy in Vaughn’s hometown of Lake Forest, Illinois. The couple’s daughter, Lochlyn Kyla Vaughn, was born on December 18, 2010 in Chicago.

Universal Pictures was quick to tell the press that in no way did they intend to upset the gay/lesbian community with the word. However, after Cooper emphasized how sensitive homosexual issues have been in the news these days the company decided to remove the word.

Anderson Cooper (who is rumored to be gay) appeared on the Ellen DeGeneres Show (who is a lesbian) and said that such words are “hurting kids.”

What do you think? Should Universal have taken the word “gay” out of the trailer.

Vince has been dating a woman named Kyla Weber since he broke up with Jennifer Aniston a few years ago. From the New York Daily News:

Vaughn’s spokesman, Alan Nierob, said Monday the 39-year-old “Couples Retreat” and “Swingers” actor wed 31-year-old real estate agent Kyla Weber in a small private ceremony Saturday outside Chicago. He said the nuptials were attended by family and close friends. It is the first marriage for both Weber and “The Break-Up” and “Four Christmases” leading man.

I wonder if Jennifer sent a gift? How soon before they sell their pictures to the magazines and we see them? Congratulations to the lucky couple!

The romance has been kept under wraps for a bit.  Perhaps because Vince was tired of having cameras following his every move, like with Jen?

UPI says:

Ken Weber told the Montreal Gazette his daughter,
Kyla of Calgary, Canada, is engaged to marry U.S. film actor Vince Vaughn.

However, People magazine said Vaughn’s publicist declined to comment on the status of his relationship with Kyla Weber, a 29-year-old real-estate agent.

Daddy knows best!  Ken Weber is going to get creamed by his daughter and the horde of publicists!  You never talk to the media and admit anything.  He didn’t go in to details, but other rumors have it that Vince proposed on Valentine’s Day and that the wedding will take place sooner rather than later. Congratulations!!

Vaughn, 36, was a guest at Aniston’s 38th birthday party on Saturday at the Beverly Hills home of her best friend, Courteney Cox. (Aniston’s actual big day was Sunday.)

The actor stayed for about two hours along with guests including Sandra Oh, David Spade, Patricia Arquette and Kathy Najimy.
