Just hours after Jordin sang as tribute to the late Whitney at the Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas last Sunday, their collaborative track off their “Sparkle” movie soundtrack, “Celebrate,” had been released.

Their upcoming film, which focuses on a mother and her three singing children a la “The Supremes,” still has more than two months before its release on August 17… Maybe the heartwarming and nostalgic performance from Jordin softened the heart of the producers, which was why the track was released seemingly ahead of time?

Well, bless their hearts! Finally, something new and fresh to remember the late singer by.

While the puzzle bits of Whitney Houston‘s death were later on officially confirmed to have been due to drowning but was also contributed by cocaine intake and had involved alcohol and prescription drugs, it definitely did not involve foul play, this according to TMZ’s report of the Beverly Hills Police Department’s case on Whitney.

After investigating the late singer’s unfortunate death since February 11, the BHPD finally closes the case on whether or not it involved violence.

Finally. Maybe we can all move on now?

Would blood be thicker than water in this case?

Reports of a Whitney Houston biopic may have been squashed by her rep but it doesn’t stop people—and obvious hopefuls like Rihanna and her daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown—from picturing the perfect film biography for the late singer. Rihanna was initially speculated to be the best candidate, given their similarities in their profession and history of domestic violence, but Bobbi Kristina insists that only she can do her mother justice because she knows her better.

There is no doubt that Krissy has talent and is passionate enough to take after her mother, but with no real background in singing and acting, we worry that her knowledge and obvious connection to Whitney may not be enough.

If the biopic creation ever becomes a reality and she doesn’t get picked to play the role, maybe she can consider contributing her important insights to at least add a little more credibility to her mother’s film?

Several new speculations about Whitney Houston‘s death arose after the LA Coroner published their latest report of the singer’s controversial death almost two months ago at the Beverly Hilton hotel. While drowning remained to be the official cause of death, star news reports that the discovery of cocaine in her room, a “drug spoon with a white crystal-like substance” (later determined to be cocaine) and a mix of alcohol, prescription drugs and cocaine in the singer’s system are leading to the fact that she may have overdosed before drowning.

TMZ reports that the L.A. County Coroner stated:

“”Located on the south portion of the counter was a small spoon with a white crystal-like substance in it and a rolled up piece of white paper, along with other miscellaneous items.”

The report continued:

“Located in the top drawer, in the north side of the counter were remnants of a white powdery substance, and a portable mirror on a base.”

The L.A. Coroner added:

“[Whitney] possibly overdosed on a narcotic substance, prescription medications, over the counter medications and alcohol.”

The site continued:

“According to the report, Whitney‘s body was discovered FACE DOWN in the bath tub … with a ‘bloody purge coming from her nose.’ Officials say there were no signs of foul play.”

The report also noted Whitney‘s obvious history of substance abuse for her “perforation of posterior nasal septum,” a usual outcome of doing too much coke. Adding to that was a note that said she was found with a brown wig “tightly attached to the hair.”

Weird.

No wonder her mother was distraught upon hearing about the new findings.

Welcome back, Mommy Houston!

For the first time since Whitney Houston‘s death, Cissy Houston spoke out and revealed that she’s indeed still not over her daughter’s passing and wishes that she can bring her back. And even though Cissy had been an unfortunate witness to her daughter’s wrongdoings and the mortifying incident where a photo of Whitney‘s casket was published in a magazine’s cover following her burial, she says she surely doesn’t blame herself for anything that went wrong.

She tells New Jersey’s My9′s 10 O’Clock News that will be aired Monday:

“I’m not there yet. I don’t think I’m any more courageous than anyone else. I am a true believer in God, if I could bring her back I would, but that’s not possible.”

Obviously Cissy‘s heard of the latest reports from the authority revealing that Whitney had cocaine in her room and in her system at the time of her death, but she says she doesn’t think that there was anything more that she could have done to interfere with her using drugs.

“I know I did the best I could. I don’t blame myself. I know I did the best I could for everything.”

She adds:

“I’m very proud of my daughter. She accomplished a whole lot in the short time that she had here… she was a very wonderful person.”

Now that she is officially done with taking care of her little girl, Cissy can now at least try to stay strong for Whitney‘s daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown, whom she’s obligated to watch out for, at least until she becomes an adult.

Whitney Houston’s latest death updates show that the Beverly Hilton Hotel room where the late singer died had traces of cocaine. The report simply follows initial reports that there weren’t any illegal drugs in the room (right!) and that the “I Will Always Love You” singer had a mixture of prescription drugs and alcohol as well as cocaine in her system at the time of her death, even though her passing was officially ruled out to be due to her “drowning.”

No word on who gave her the drugs but news was that authorities have ruled the drug intake out in terms of what had officially killed her as the amount found in her body and in her hotel room were little.

As TMZ reported:

“As for the quantity of cocaine that was found, official documents show one of the items police recovered was ‘white, powdery remnants.’ Sources tell us the powder was tested and it’s cocaine.”

The site continued:

“No illegal drugs were recovered from the room. We have circled back with these sources who now tell us they were unaware at the time that cocaine was present.”

The cops are finally nearing the end of the investigation for Whitney’s death case but was said to have skipped looking for anyone who could possibly have removed any cocaine because, obviously, there were still some left.

So there you have it. Whitney really was taking drugs again. Not surprising. But that she took them right before she died and it didn’t kill her? Now that‘s new.

Whitney Houston‘s family had been reliving her death once again when news came out stating that while Whitney‘s death had officially been for “accidental drowning,” the “I Will Always Love You” singer also had cocaine in her system. Following news revealed that her bed sheets in the hotel room were missing and that the rest of the cocaine had been taken away from the room before Whitney was discovered dead in her bath tub. Bobby Brown‘s sister Leolah Brown suggested on TV Thursday night that Ray J was to blame for the singer’s untimely death, but was he really?

Ray J‘s rep tells TMZ:

“The singer had NO KNOWLEDGE that Whitney was using again.”

Ray J also claims that he is definitely not to blame for the singer’s death and would love for people to stop accusing him of giving his alleged ex the cocaine.

Poor guy just can’t get the peace that he deserves!

Over four weeks have passed since Whitney Houston was found dead in a bathtub at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, and the L.A. County Coroner has finally released the official cause of death—“accidental drowning.”

The report also says that Whitney had cocaine in her system at the time of her death, although there was no evidence of illegal drugs—but there were a lot of prescription meds—in the hotel room where the singer died.

Despite the L.A. County Coroner’s report, the Houston family believes that there may have been foul play.

But is it really incest?

Hollywood rumors have been cropping up left and right about Bobbi Kristina Brown’s movements ever since her mother, Whitney Houston, passed away at age 48 last month—from the news that she got high after the funeral to the rumors that she was hooking up with “adopted” brother Nick Gordon, who was considered by Whitney as her own son, although she never got around to formally adopting him.

And, as it turns out, the rumors were right.

When a video (courtesy of TMZ) turned up showing Bobbi Kristina and Nick holding hands and kissing while taking a stroll together, Whitney’s mom (and Bobbi’s grandmother, obviously), Cissy Houston, threw a fit.

“What they’re doing is incestuous!”

Grandma Houston reportedly told a close friend.

Well, technically it’s not, since they’re not related by blood or law…

But, according to sources, it’s not just the creepiness of the situation that gets to Cissy. She is also worried that Nick has ulterior motives and is trying to take advantage of Bobbi, especially now that she’s overcome with grief for her late mother.

TMZ reports:

“Cissy feels her granddaughter has problems and Nick is taking advantage of her.  [She] is so concerned that Bobbi has become impressionable and therefore an easy target for Nick, she’s asking the Whitney Houston Estate to take legal steps to get him evicted from Whitney‘s home — where Bobbi Kristina is also living.”

In Bobbi Kristina’s fragile state, it seems evicting Nick might do more harm than good… especially if she really is suicidal.

We’re not sure that’s such a great idea, Grandma Houston.

A little Whitney Houston in the making?

One month after Whitney Houston‘s untimely passing that shook the music industry and her billions of fans, her 19-year-old daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown got on “Oprah‘s Next Chapter” for her exclusive interview and tells her about how she’s been hanging on in spite of the late singer leaving her with only her worldly possessions–and her music gene, apparently! With her cutting her ties from her dad and losing her mom forever, we’ve been worried about the teenager’s future.

Bobbi Kristina tells Oprah:

“I’m doing as good as I possibly can at this point. I’m just trying to keep going. I can sing her music, but to hear it now, I can’t. I can hear her voice telling me, ‘Keep moving, baby. I got you.’ She’s always with me. I can always feel her with me. She used to always say, ‘Do you need me?’ And I said, ‘I always need you.’”

The teenager, who still lives in their old Atlanta home, explains to Oprah just how close she still is to her late mother:

“I feel her pass through me all the time. I wake up at night. She would say at 5 a.m. the saints start praying. I wake up now and look at the clock and it’s 5 o’clock. I start praying.”

She adds:

“Lights turn on and off and I’m like, ‘Mom, what are you doing?’ I can still laugh with her and still talk to her.”

Bobbi Kristina finally answers how she plans to stay connected with her mom in the years to come:

“I have to carry on the legacy. We’re gonna do the singing thing. Some acting, some dancing. It’s a lot of pressure, but she prepared me for it.”

Looks like we have a little Whitney Houston in our midst, but she realizes that no one can ever replace her mother, as she says:

“I just saw her as mom. The first time I saw her as a worldwide icon was when we went on tour. And the funeral… She made an impact not only on a few people. She made an impact on the world.”

With millions of your mother’s fans watching you even more closely now, we definitely hope you’re ready, Bobbi Kristina!

And it’s all because she doesn’t want to be associated with her father, BOBBY BROWN.

Bobbi Kristina, who was reportedly placed on suicide watch following her mother’s shocking death, has decided to change her name to just Kristina Houston, in an effort to remove any connection (at least by name) to her father, Bobby Brown.

Celebrity gossip websites have learned that Bobbi Kristina has wanted to change her name for years (ever since her parents broke up), and she would have done it sooner, but Whitney wouldn’t let her.

However, now that her mother’s gone, Bobbi Kristina reportedly feels free to go ahead with her original plan of changing her name to Kristina Houston.

TMZ reports:

“Bobbi has made the decision with a sober mind and is in a “better place” than she’s been in a while.”

Whitney Houston‘s untimely passing has taken a toll on many of her family and friends who currently still desperate about finally moving on, especially on her close friend and rumored last boyfriend, RnB artist Ray J. The “One Wish” singer had been trying to keep a straight face until her funeral, where he publicly broke down as he watched his friend being rolled away in a casket. We pity the poor man, after all he has been seen looking incredibly depressed, confirming that he hasn’t moved on one bit!

He says at a Brotherhood Crusade and Mothers in Actions event:

“I really miss my friend, you know, I really do. I’m still hurting.”

We hear that poor Ray J still looks at Whitney‘s photo in his phone to get by on most days.

How heartbreaking! We hope you and the rest of her loved ones get the peace that they deserve soon.

Oh, man. That’s got to hurt!

Previous reports have gone into detail about the inclusion of the late singer Whitney Houston‘s will, stating her only daughter Bobbi Kristina as sole primary beneficiary and several other relatives and ex-husband Bobby Brown as the secondary beneficiaries, in case Bobbi Kristina had left the picture before she turns 30 when the probate will have been completed. However, her will seemed to miss out on another important relative, her brother Gary Houston!

He didn’t seem to be bothered at all, however.

Gary tells TMZ:

“I dont concern myself with any of that [will stuff] … All I know is my sister’s gone.”

We bet it stung a little bit. But knowing just how close the two were, Whitney probably just wanted to keep her brother out of what might be a big gold-digging scandal if Bobbi Kristina did leave the picture and the relatives involved had to fight each other to their deaths over her possessions.

Star news reveal new details about Whitney Houston‘s will, stating that there are secondary beneficiaries. Whitney Houston‘s will has already been validated and has revealed in recent reports that Whitney‘s daughter Bobbi Kristina is the sole beneficiary, making her the only person who will inherit all of her mother’s worldly possessions from before her untimely passing. That is, while she remains alive and healthy until age 30 when she can finally have her hands on all the rest of her mother’s money.

It was revealed that if Bobbi Kristina were to pass away, Whitney‘s ex-husband Bobby Brown and several other relatives were to split up the assets among themselves, in any way that they thought was “proper.” If they never reach an agreement as to how they are to split the singer’s goods, the will states that all her stuff be sold so they can divide it in cash form. However, the jewelry will only end up going to her mother, Cissy, and to no one else.

Now who bets that her mother Cissy will do everything that she can to keep her daughter’s fortune away from Bobby? Looks like the drama here has just started, even when Whitney is no longer here to join them. Here’s to hoping that nothing bad happens to young Bobbi Kristina!

Whitney Houston‘s once-troubled daughter Bobbi Kristina can call herself filty rich set for life as her late mother, whose predicted untimely passing was almost a month ago, had left her all of her possessions, star news has learned. Amended on April 14, 2000, the 19-page will states that Whitney‘s now 19-year-old daughter will be inheriting her money, furniture, clothing, jewelry, personal effects and cars. Glad it doesn’t include anything else that they used to enjoy together, like drugs for instance?

Inside Edition reveals:

“The money will be placed in a trust until Bobbi Kristina, who is now 19, turns 21. She gets more money when she turns 25 and the rest when she is 30.”

The will, executed by Houston‘s mom Cissy, 78, and drafted a month before Bobbi Kristina was born, mentions Whitney‘s brother Michael and sister-in-law Donna as the trustees as well as her ex-husband and Bobbi Kristina‘s father Bobby Brown, but was not left anything, in spite of it being amended while they were still married. Ouch!

Hopefully Bobbi Kristina can now set her life straight. We’d hate to hear her spending all that money on drugs!

Ever since Whitney’s untimely death last month, rumors have been cropping up about the award-winning singer, such as the rumor that she was actually gay, or that she was dating Kim Kardashian’s ex-boyfriend and sex tape partner, Ray J (which may have been true).

The latest rumor is that Whitney was involved in an adulterous affair with Jermaine Jackson, who produced her music and recorded duets with her during the early stages of her career, from the late ‘70s to the early ‘80s.

London’s The Sun reports:

“Whitney‘s No1 hit Saving All My Love For You echoed the story of her secret affair with Jermaine.”

FYI, the song is about a woman who is “saving” all her love for a married man, and the music video, which features a Jermaine look-alike, shows Houston singing and recording with her married producer, whom she falls in love with.

Sound familiar? Jermaine sang duets with Whitney and produced some of her music just a year or two before she debuted “Saving All My Love For You.”

The Sun adds:

“Michael Jackson was among the few people who knew about the pair’s year-long passionate relationship but did not approve of it.”

We’re not sure which wife Jermaine was married to at the time of the alleged Whitney Houston affair, but it was most probably his first wife, Hazel Gordy, whom he was married to from 1973 to 1988.

Jermaine was reportedly “shattered” upon learning of Whitney’s death, and was so consumed with grief that he could not bring himself to attend her funeral, which was held on February 18 at the New Hope Baptist Church in New Jersey.

A rep of Whitney Houston‘s label manager and close friend Clive Davis finally spoke up and denied all rumors of a biopic in the making for the late singer. The talks of a Whitney Houston biopic hit entertainment news just days after she was put to rest, claiming that Davis is already looking to have a script made so production of the biopic can start right away. Apparently not.

Rihanna, who was also a victim of  domestic violence just like Whitney, was also rumored to be one of the best pics as were Jennifer Hudson, Vivica Fox and Jordin Sparks.

We suppose it’s way too early to define just how the conclusion of that film would go considering the controversies that surrounded the singer’s recent passing, but many would attest to the fact that Whitney is more than legendary enough to be featured in one.

A production insider tells the Huffington Post:

“Obviously nothing will be done unless the family is supportive, but this would give them a chance to have a say in their daughter’s legacy, plus potentially make a lot of money.”

The source continued:

“It would be a one-off massive concert where fans could buy tickets to hear all the songs Whitney sang and even have a charity component to it. But the bigger idea is organizing a film that tells the life of Whitney Houston, including the good and the bad.”

According to the latest Hollywood gossip, the distraught mom, whose heart broke once more when a published photo of Whitney in a casket surfaced on the cover of a magazine lately, is in dire need of getting closure—whatever it takes! So now she’s going back by herself, without her granddaughter or Bobby Brown, to room 434 at the Beverly Hills Hotel to pray and finally come to terms with her late diva daughter’s sudden death via a spiritual connection, and soon.

A source tells TMZ:

“[Cissy] won’t be at peace until she gets closure.”

I guess you gotta do what you gotta do, eh Momma Houston?

After suffering several publicly talked about commotions, a lot of familial drama and rumors that arose after her passing, the late diva’s wake was far from perfect from the start. And now with her finally buried and her family getting through their final moments of acceptance, their hearts broke once again upon seeing Whitney’s photo in a casket as the cover of The National Enquirer. We all know that she’s gone, why does the rest of the world need to see it?

The funeral home that served Whitney and her family and friends denies leaking the controversial photo, however. Carol Whigham, the CEO of the Whugham Funeral Home where Whitney’s wake was held, tells the New York Daily News:

“We did not take that photo. We did not sell the photo. We would never do something like that.”

However, Houston’s distraught family, including her mother Cissy who was the most affected by the issue, will not be investigating the issue further in order to just get on with the long overdue peace and rest that they all deserve.
