Goldberg has been very open about her drug and alcohol addictions as a young women and said, quite frankly, that at the time she loved getting stoned.

“Smoking cigarettes and pot every now and then are my habits. And I thought, ‘I’ve got to relax.’ So I smoked a joint, my home grown. When he (presenter actor Denzel Washington) said my name and I popped up, I thought, ‘Oh f*ck’…okay, up the stairs … around to the podium … there’s millions of people, get the statue, pick up the statue.”

Wonder how many other A-list celebrities have accepted awards stoned out of their minds?

She revealed that she spent many sleepless nights paranoid and delusional in her own bed.

“Having been a drug addict, I feel I can say this… I was a functioning drug addict, I showed up for work because I knew a lot of people would be out of work and I wouldn’t get a check that I needed to buy my drugs. I ended up sitting on a bed for three or four days scared there was something under the bed. I wet the bed, I pooped the bed… I was so scared. I hit bottom. I did that a long time ago.”

Goldberg reveals she’s now clean, but good God, what drugs was she on?

You know any time a conservative sits down with two big liberals, something bad is going to happen on live TV! Technically, it was probably great for ratings…but for those involved, it shows what little character they acted on.

Bill was speaking against the mosque being built near the 9/11 site. Joy and Whoopi thought he had a limited view and stormed off the set. From the Boston Herald:

Bill O’Reilly got quite a rise out of Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar on yesterday’s episode of “The View.” While arguing why he thought there shouldn’t be a Muslim community center two blocks from Ground Zero, Bill got curt with Joy: “Hold it, hold it,” he said. “Listen to me, because you’ll learn.” He then went on to blame the WTC attacks on Muslims. “I don’t want to sit here anymore,” Joy said, before she and Whoopi got up and left.

So let’s be real mature about it and leave. Barbra Walters even came back and said it wasn’t right they left. Duh! How many other times to reporters not like the answers they get to questions? They can’t storm off. Did you see Whoopi and Joy storm off set?

Whoopi responded to the allegations saying she didn’t hit Michale, but instead used “choice words” when communicating with the reality show star.

After the show, a sobbing Michaele said she felt attacked. Tempers flared after Goldberg caught wind of the claim and approached the reality star couple backstage. “Michaele was very upset about what was said about her on the air,” the host said Thursday morning. “She thought I hit her. I went up to her and told her that she knew I didn’t hit her.” Goldberg said she unleashed some “choice words” at the couple that were “so choice you could have taken them with a knife and eaten them.” She added that she became more irate after Tareq took out his cell phone during the argument and began snapping photos of the angered host. “I make no apology for my choice words,” the host said.

Whoopi and Tariq were off set during the interview arguing, but Whoopi came back and touched Michaele on the shoulder and said get back to the White House part. Now you’ll never guess what Michaele is saying!

Did White House crasher, and ‘The Real Housewives of DC’ star Michaele Salahi accuse Whoopi Goldberg of hitting her on the set of ‘The View’? You’ll see Whoopi Goldberg come onto the stage and touch Salahi, telling her to get back to the subject of talking about the White House incident. Salahi has a mild reaction on set. However according to a statement from ABC Salahi and her husband off set accused Goldberg of hitting her.

Oh my gosh, don’t they realize it was on camera and everyone can see the whole incident? Whoopi did not hit Michaele, though I bet she’d like to! Why would Michaele say such a thing?

Whoopi says she is friends with Mel and knows he isn’t a racist. It’s the alcohol making him push awful words out of his mouth.

Whoopi Goldberg spoke out on behalf of her friend Mel Gibson saying: “I know Mel, and I know he’s not a racist…He may be a bonehead. I can’t sit and say that he’s a racist, having spent time with him in my house with my kids.”

Even though Whoopi tried to claim she’s not defending what he’s done, she went on to imply this morning that somehow Oksana Grigorieva is to blame for what’s going on because she supposedly went to the press first before the police.

First, GLAAD is mad at Sherri Shepherd, now it appears women’s groups and racial groups will be jumping all over Whoopi. Do you agree with her defending her friend? She seems to be the only one on the planet to do so!

Whoopi went on to say that infidelity is nobody’s fault and perhaps Jesse James was looking for something different in his marriage.

“Yes I cheated when I was married. I made those mistakes too. Yeah, it happens.”

Whoopi then goes on to say she can relate to the biker even more deeply seeing as she has tattoos. Seven to be exact. She was, however, mum when Joy Behar asked where they were.

Whoopi and Patrick filmed the movie Ghost back in 1990 and remained friends since then.  Demi Moore also starred int he award winning flick.  Whoopi talks to the media about her friend via UPI:

“He’s kicking butt,” Goldberg told Usmagazine.com Monday. “And, you know, he’s sick. And he, like the rest of us, doesn’t know when it’s going to happen — because it will happen, that he is going to go — but he doesn’t know when or where. … His attitude is, why wait for it to happen? So he’s busy as hell.”

I think Patrick has the right idea.  And I’m glad Whoopi spoke of it in a positive light.  Out of respect for Patrick, we’re only publishing pictures from a few years ago, when he was healthy.  Good luck!

Elisabeth Hasselback, Joy Behar, Whoopi Goldberg, Barbara Walters and Sherri Shepherd all make up the talk show.  How can you get all of that estrogen in one room and not have a few arguments along the way?  If you work in an office, you know what I’m talking about.  If you were a non-Barbara co-host, would you be mad at all the book promotin’?
